I declined to use the service. I will get someone else.

Kramer had given me very good service when I had a water line leak in my front yard. So, when I had a stopped up kitchen sink, I called them. They came and gave me an estimate which cost $49, the total estimate for snaking one drain was $407.95. Just to snake a kitchen sink, which is a 30 minute job at most. Highway robbery! I declined the service. Am I out of touch with service prices these days?

They were good and there were no problems.

It was a great experience. They figured out the problem in no time, that another technician had spent a week trying to figure out. The fact that they did this on a Sunday without asking, was above and beyond. Their responsiveness and knowledge is unparalleled.

We got an appointment the folowing day even though we did not indicate it was an emergency. The plumber arrived on time, replaced the valves under the sink and the faucet with one we had purchased previously Unfortunately we were initially charged a service call fee, but it was returned after a complain to the office. I feel the plumber did great work, cleaned up after himself and the quality of the work is on par with what was expected. The price charged for replacement of one kitchen faucet and the two valves under the sink is excessive.

I called Kramer & Sons after learning that the water pipe from my home the the main was leaking (3 gallons/ minute!). The company was very responsive and the two men that came to assess and give me an estimate were punctual. Brent and Andy came into my home and started to assess the layout speaking with one another regarding what would need to be done. Andy's responses to my questions were very passive aggressive and disrespectful. At first I was just surprised and it seemed Brent tried to smooth things over a bit by answering what he could, but when Andy responded to my next question with "you think that's how it's done, huh?" in a very condescending and rude way I asked them to leave my home. I phoned the company and they were very apologetic, polite, and respectful. However, if I were them I would absolutely NOT want Andy as the face of my company. He is the one that is there to be informative and sell them as the people for the job.

Julio could not have been more professional! He diagnosed the issue and fixed it expediently (even looked at a secondary issue and gave me advice so I could fix the problem myself). The price was my only issue. We are new to the NOVA area, but I thought almost $900 to route out a pipe was quite steep, even with un-installing and re-installing the toilet to get to the issue. It was done in less than 4 hours and was quite straightforward. Nevertheless I would absolutely call this company again and request Julio for sure!

I called Kramer & Sons Thursday morning at 7:30 to address a leaky hot water pipe in our basement. Kramer & Sons charges a $49 service which is in line with other companies and much better than one that charges $98 for the half hour and $75 for the second half hour. I was given a window between 9am and noon for the technician to come out. I was called at 9:30 and told the technician would come out in 30 minutes. At 10am, Kyle Stanley showed up. I showed Kyle the leaky pipe in the basement and explained our situation. Kyle pulled out the pricing book that showed exactly how much each job will cost. I found this to very handy. Its a flat fee for each service as opposed to an hourly rate. Kyle quoted me $391 to replace 5' of copper pipe. In addition, Kyle replaced a valve that controlled our hot water for our washing machine. Kyle replaced the pipe and no more leaking pipe. In addition to replacing the pipe, I asked Kyle to take a look at a few other things. Kyle was able to replace the flapper in our master toilet and tighten the cold water stem in our master shower. Both of these were done at no cost. Also, Kyle noted that the cartridge in our kitchen faucet will fail soon, so he gave me a list of plumbing supply houses in our area that will be able to sell us a replacement. He also explained how to replace it. The entire time Kyle was here he was incredibly polite and professional. He wore shoe booties throughout the house, removed them when he went outside. Absolutely a terrific experience with Kramer & Sons. I hopefully never have to call a plumber again for a leaky pipe but if I do, it will definitely be Kramer & Sons.

Kyle came on time. He expeditiously checked out problems, and finish toilets in a very timely manner. Kyle handled himself professionally.

This is the second time I've had Kramer out to my house. My townhouse is at that age where things need to be replaced, and this time it was the toilet in the powder room. I was told by a handyman that the flange was cracked and it would be a major construction issue to pull the toilet, replace the flange and seal, and install the new toilet. I am very glad that I called Kramer to come out and fix the problem, as it was a simple replacement. I have more work for Kramer ... and will be calling them again soon!

I had a flood that affected my water heater. Kramer & Sons came out, did an assessment and determined that my water heater was dying and would have to be replaced. When I called the next day to inquire about a tankless water heater, they explained the installation, setup, and were honest with me that it wouldn't be the best for my home, in addition to the increased expense. When I called the day after that to tell them that my water heater had died, they were out promptly the next morning (if a little early at 7:20AM) and replaced it quickly with no mess. I did find the water heater to be expensive but it is a better brand and when I called other companies, I received the same quote so I figured that is how much this water heater costs. Their write-up was very thorough and in the end, it was covered by my insurance. My house is still a mess from the flood but we have lots of hot water! I would highly recommend Kramer & Sons and I will be using them again.

Kyle, the serive tech, was very professional and courteous. He unclogged our toliet in 30 seconds. We were very satisfied with the service. My only hang up is the $50 fee I had to pay for traveling. i suggest that if the customer decides to go with their service that fee should be waived. It's ridiculous that I had to pay over $200 for a clogged toliet

I was very happy with the entire job start to finish. I was very enthusiastic to use a family owned company and I had a great experience from the beginning. My call to set-up an appointment was cordial and very relaxed. I was offered appointment times that fit into my schedule. On the day of the appointment, a Kramer and Sons dispatcher called to ask if I would like the plumber to come early. It was a nice change of pace. From the time the plumber Kyle arrived until the time he was finished, I was very please with every aspect of the job. Kyle explained what he found after he inspected the hose bibs and drain, gave me multiple service options, explained Kramer and Sons' pricing, never once pressured me to do extra work, was courteous to my pets and 3 year old daughter and did a great job! He accurately estimated the time it would take to do the job, took steps to make sure that he didn't leave a mess in the house and showed me all the work he did while explaining each step of the process. At the end of the job, he gave me his card, encouraged me to write a review on Angie's List, provided me emergency shutdown instructions for my water heater because he noticed it was a gas water heater and presented me with an opportunity to refer friends and receive money back (which I guarantee you that I will be doing).

The work that they completed was fine. They were punctual and professional. The work required carpentry, which they don't do. After the repair of a 2nd floor leak that required cutting into the ceiling, I contacted a home improvement firm to fix the second leak, repair the ceiling and complete the carpentry work on the second leak. This turned out to be a much less expensive alternative.

Very polite from the first phone call all the way thru the service. Julio was very professional and left everything very neat. I like that they show you their pricing in a manual before they commence work and charge for the task not by the hour. But they are not cheap!

We have had a positive experience with Kramer & Sons Plumbing, Heating & Air Conditioning . They came when they said they would and did what they said they would do. I thought the price was fair.

Overall, it was a very positive experience. The plumber that came out was exceptionally friendly and walked me through the whole process so that I could attempt to do it next time. He also gave me a price for a leaky shower head however he recommended that we attempt to fix the problem ourselves first because it would be MUCH cheaper. He also walked us through what to do there so we felt comfortable doing the fix. While we were surprised at the cost of the snake, we were very impressed with the customer service.

Very prompt and fixed a problem no other plumber could figure out. We have a high-efficiency washer that was causing our water pipes to thump loudly in the walls. The plumber who came out tried several things- trying to fix the problem at the lowest cost possible, but after trying everything, he said the only fix would be to install a water pressure gauge and lower our overall water pressure. He honestly gave us all the pros/cons of this - but at the end - He was right! We are very happy with this company and one other benefit that the plumber noted up front- we have saved a lot on our water bill as a result of the fix.

Exellent, Better than expected. They had to remove a portion of the foundation concrete to replace a part of a sewage pipe that had been damaged by tree roots. They did a beautiful job replacing the pipe and fixing the concrete back.

Their service was good. They were very helpful in terms of answering all of our questions. We asked them how to identify issues earlier and how to prevent them, and they were very great in giving home owner tips.

Around 6 am Tuesday morning, the day after Memorial Day, my main water valve broke, causing a serious leak. I called Kramer & Sons, and they happen to have a first slot available. I was told that the person would be at my home between 7:30 and 8:30. Around 7:30, the gentleman arrived. He was extremely friendly and professional (even putting boot coverings on each time he entered by my home). The problem was straight forward, he provided me the pricing. Work was done quickly and professionally! I even made it to work on time.

They are readily available and quick. Their price was in line with others. Their quality of work was very good.

I made the appointment for the Noon to 4 p.m. time frame one day before the service call. I knew of two items I wanted fixed.The dispatcher called when the plumber was 20 minutes away.The plumber arrived within the 20 minute window at about 1 p.m.The plumber used boot coverings while walking in the house.The plumber visually inspected the plumbing and drain system that could be seen and toiched pipes to determine if any leaks could be felt.The plumber provided advice on the two items I knew needed attention as well as some other issues that might need attention in the next couple of years.The plumber showed me the company price book showing each job with three price points for each service.I had the plumber only repair and replace the 2 items I originally called them to repair.The plumber left my home clean and everything in working order at 3:15 p.m.

They were fantastic. Two service men came. They put protection on their shoes. They found and fixed the problems.

When I bought my new house, I assumed the existing refrigerator had a water line, but when I had the new fridge installed, there was no water line. I started looking on Angie's list for a plumber and based on the reviews, I contacted Kramer & Sons. They were able to get in the next day even with out me present. I believe it was Nick (sorry if it wasn't Nick) who came out and gave me the option of running the pipe from the basement or from under the sink (same cost for both) and chose under the sink to have the water supply in the same room. They kept me informed the whole time and went smoothly. Only complaint would be the service call fee on top of the work (that's why it gets a B instead of A). The $20 off for being Angie's list helped, but still, if the work is being performed the service fee should be waived. I understand about getting estimates or if no work is being performed then travel time should be compensated. Anyway, no complaints with the service, and they give you a one year warranty. Thanks,
