Everything so far appears to be working fine. Only issue is that the cost seemed quite high: $395 for parts and one hour's work, even allowing one hour for roundtrip travel time.

I called Kramer & Sons and found out they had a service location off of Richmond Hwy south of Alexandria. I took the valves there and got them back the following morning. Much to my surprise, they only charged $10. The quality of work was great and the valves worked perfectly once installed.

They do excellent work and are reasonably priced.

It went great. They actually arrived early after a call from the office to check if I was available. And they were done in about an hour. I would highly recommend this company to anyone needing plumbing services.

I am glad that we decided to chose Angie's list. We were able to find a good reputable plumbing establishment. Sometimes when trying to do things like this you don't always get the right answers. Now we feel that, we can choose the right contractors or anything of this nature in the future and be comfortable with the workers we choose.

I cannot recommend this company enough!! Fast, dependable and superb warranty!!!! Today's visit was free bc my laundry tub backed up again--bc I didn't follow Kyle's advice the last time and get a mess cover for the tube that drains from the washing machine. You can bet I will before I use the washer again. Excellent customer service and they show up when they say they will and they are fast and clean. Will never go anywhere else for plumbing needs!!!

The plumber arrived on time, diagnosed and fixed the problems very quickly and gave me good advice. Didn't try to sell me a costly modern update, nor did he use more time than he needed to get the job done. Huge relief because I had just moved in, had guests coming and would have hated to greet them with a smelly, backed up guest toilet.

All possible maintenance repairs were explained and given careful consideration.

This is the third (or fourth?) time Kramer has been to my house for a plumbing-related job. This time when I called to ask for someone to come out and replace my broken garbage disposal, I was told of a great deal through Angie's List. I pre-paid the job/installation and saved over $150 (or thereabouts) off the regular price. Kramer & Sons is an excellent company to deal with, the customer service is great and the technicians are first-rate. I highly recommend calling them for any kind of plumbing work.

Kramer and Sons were excellent! We had a sewage backup in our basement - Yuck! They responded within 3 hours of being called, took care of the problem, and when asked for a quote for a hot water heater, gave us an estimate which was about $150 less than their competition. They were able to procure a hot water heater and install it all on the same day! The plumbers, Klyle and Juan were wonderful! They were prompt, courteous and very respectful of our property. I'd highly recommend this company. Could not have asked for better service!

We had had sewage back up through the floor drain in our basement, and the first plumber we called determined that a portion of our main sewer line was damaged and needed to be replaced. We got estimates for the job from three companies, two of which we found through Angie's list. Kramer seemed to have the best reputation based on Angie's List comments, and we were very impressed with their professionalism compared to the other two companies. They also quoted us the lowest price. They performed the work over two days, arrived right on time, and were very efficient. They were also very careful in the way they piled the dirt on tarps in and outside the house, so once they'd replaced the section of pipe and filled in the holes, the surrounding areas were clean. In the bathroom, they were careful to remove a neat square of tiles, so the tiles beyond the work area remained intact and didn't need to be replaced. All in all, the job proceeded just the way they'd said it would when we discussed their estimate. The workers were courteous and friendly. It's been over a month since the work was done, and we remain very happy with the whole situation. We would certainly recommend Kramer for underground plumbing work.

When the second guy came to rebuild the hose bib, it took a short time. The second guy thought out loud that it may not be repairable. But, in no time he fixed it. But one bad apple doesn't spoil the whole tree.

The company is very respnsive and professional. However their prices are extremely high!!I would encourage and caution potential users of their service to get price quotes from a competitor. Once they are in the house( and you need the work done, after coordinating w/their dispatcher and taking time off of work) it's easy to let them do the work. You WILL pay A PREMIUM for their basic plumbing services. BUYER BEWARE,,,,,,

Kramer has done work for us and I have been entirely satisfied each time. Their prices are not cheap -- but neither are they outrageous. They explain the costs carefully and I believe you get what you pay for. In the case of Kramer and Sons, that's great work, professionally done on time. I will definitely call them again.

Being completely clueless about what would be entailed in this project, the Kramer team explained every minute detail to us and guided us every step of the way with many of our decisions including selection of the fire pit insert based on the appropriate BTU output, and with some of the fire pit construction details. Since we were simultaneously working with a landscaping vendor who was constructing the patio, fire pit, and BBQ, there was a great deal of close coordination between the two vendors to ensure each step of the coordinated project was done in the correct sequence. The Kramer team was always amenable to meet at our home often at short notice to meet with the landscaping team to go over project details. Furthermore, because we were adding a new gas line to the house, Fairfax County permits and inspections were required to sign-off on the new gas line. Seth coordinated this process entirely including scheduling and the inspectors to come out for the initial and final inspection. Seth made himself available to us via email and phone and always responded promptly to the many times we contacted him with questions, something that is exceedingly rare with most vendors. During the fire pit construction by the landscapers, minor damage was sustained to the gas line installed and the Kramer team was incredibly prompt and understanding in coming out to fix the mishaps. The result was a flawless and safe installation and a beautiful fire pit and BBQ grill for us. They concluded their project with us by coming out to give us one last lesson on the various gas valves and controls operating the fire pit and BBQ grill and the safe operation of both. I felt like we were taken care by absolute pros thru every step of this complicated project. If you are looking for a top-knotch gas specialists, this is your team. Every member of this company was highly knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with and I will most certainly use them for any of my future gas, plumbing, or HVAC needs.

The serviceman was pleasant, sympathetic and very professional. He explained the problem very clearly and detailed what had to be done to fix it. The charges were explained up front in a professional manner. The work was done in a very timely manner, and he leaned up after the work was done. Overall, an excellent experience and I would not hesitate to recommend this company or use them again myself.

They are the only ones that diagnosed the problem and manage to fix it. They got here soon. We got the new toilet fast. They installed it quickly. They did everything they could do to try and fix the old one and try to save us the money.

Everything went well. The plumber did a good job and explained things very well to me. He also checked to make sure that there weren't any pending problems with other parts of the plumbing system before he left.

I called Kramer & Sons for a second quote late in the day on a Monday. Their underground plumbing team was on a job nearby, and they promptly came to our house to provide us with a quote for both repairing the pipe and replacing it. Both plumbers recommended replacing it since it is old galvanized piping, but Kramer assured me that they could temporarily repair it for minimal cost. So far it is holding up well with no signs of any problems. They even did a good job patching up our yard and reseeding. If and when the pipe needs to be replaced I will definitely contact them to do the job. They were very clear about what was wrong and what needed to be done. They also worked with me on coming up with an affordable option that would work for us.
