The service was professional and they were pleasant. The prices were very high. Over $300 to snake a toilet is too high. They acknowledged their prices are unreasonable when I asked about working on a a slow draining sink. They wanted $290 to snake that as well.

We like them alot. We have been happy with them, their prices were reasonable and they do a good job.

Very nice plumber who arrived on time and explained the work he would do. The price seemed high for the service. $460 to fix 2 leaky faucets and 1 leaky pipe (with a coupling). Plumber offered to order a part for our leaking kitchen faucet and never heard back from him.

But very expensive for putting on a new shut off valve. They said they could not put in a washer to have the old shut off valve still work.

Assisted in installing a showerhead at no extra charge.

They came out to look at our water heater. During the inspection, they found out our generator was causing the issue. Once we fixed the issue, there was still a problem with the water heater. The same technician came out to our home again. He came out very early in the morning to make sure our issue was taken care of. He found a wire was dislodged within the water heater. He apologized right away, said it was his fault and he would take care of it. There was no additional charge for the second service call. They did a great job, I appreciated their honesty and I would use them again in the future.

Marty was on time, pleasant, professional and explained everything he was doing. He was willing to answer all my questions and let me know what to look out for in terms of monitoring the performance of the system.

I called their service number on a Monday or Tuesday and was able to get an appt for Weds. - the day I requested. The service technician was prompt for his arrival. I had a few leaky faucets and garbage disposal that needed to be repaired. He spent about 30min. checking the service ticket items. I was given quotes and explanations for each. The roman tub faucet was a special order item, the garbage disposal was not fixable and needed to be replaced and the kitchen faucet could be fixed. My only complaint with the company was the incredibly high prices. I was quoted almost $800 to replace the garbage disposal. Ultimately, my husband bought one at Home Depot for $90 and make the switch himself. We did not follow through on the tub repair and they were not able to find the replacement part. He replaced the sink parts which I didn't quite understand at the time what he was replacing. After the fact, I looked up the parts (b/c he showed me what he replaced) and the parts cost $24. So for $300, I paid for the $59 service call and a 10min. sink repair. I do not think those prices are good and will not call them again in the future. When we exchanged a few follow up calls about the tub, I did mention the pricing and the manager told me they have structured pricing and that is what the service fell under. So I do not dispute the fee but I feel their prices are way too high.

We would definitely recommend Kramer & Sons and will use them in the future.

Great! They dispatched a team to our house quickly, and the two workers did the job in an efficient and effective manner. Although we hope not to have a recurrence of this same problem, we would be very happy to use Kamer and Sons again for other plumbing or HVAC help.

I am not an easy grader at all, but was happy to give all As. Out of four companies we checked for this job, Kramer & Sons was head and shoulders above. Excellent responsiveness, very competitive and honest pricing, job was done very quickly and competently, everything was cleaned up and the crew paid atention to even small details. If I ever need a plumber, I will call Kramer & Sons first. Was very, very pleased with the experience.

It couldn't have been a better service experience. I sent an email through Kramer's website at around 8:30 on Sunday night, I got a call back at 8am the next morning from Marty- super good guy. He set a time to meet at my house and was there exactly when he said he would. He put on shoe covers and went down to the basement to look at our unit- I followed because I like to watch. He went through a religious exercise of diagnostics, all the while calling out what he was testing for and why. Upon finishing the tests he and came to the conclusion that the control board was cooked and told me why. He didn't have the part on his truck but would order it and call me as soon as it was in his hands; he called the following morning and said the new control board was in his van. By 1pm I had heat.

1. Furnace and plumbing - right on time and received call that he would arrive in 30-45 min for both service visits. Both techs clearly "knew their business" and were expects (I have been a homeowner for about 35 years and have seen a lot of repairs!) Very reasonably priced. I have tried 2 other HVAC companies and 3 other plumbers and Kramer is the best.

Excellent response time. Although crews were backlogged, they were able to squeeze us in when an earlier job was completed ahead of schedule. All excavation from the 9-foot deep trench was placed upon a tarp to elimate debris on the lawn. Extreme care was taken to avoid the waterline which was located directly over the sewer break. The broken sewer was repaired and the backfill was placed in lifts and compacted. The disturbed area was smoothed and seeded and covered with straw. Throughout the preocess the workers were very professional and explained each step of the process. Since the procedure was covered by the Old Dominion water and sewer insurance, I cannot speak to the cost, but the quality of workmen and their work were excellent.

They were great. They were very honest and responsive. They communicate well and called me to explain everything before starting any work. I will continue to use them.

Prompt response to request for service; arrived on time; completed work in a difficult location very quickly and professionally. The best clean-up of any plumbing work I have ever seen.

We ran the trash disposal one day and found the water was backed up and clogged. We ran a snake ourselves but it still didn't solve the issue as the snake wasn't long enough. We called Kramer and Sons and they came out the same day that evening and helped us cleared the clog. The technician explained to us the charges and had a reference book to show us what standard pricing was depending on what he needed to perform and how much extra we could pay if he encountered any additional issues. After about 30 minutes they were able to clear the pipe and everything was working back to normal. Overall, it was professional and we will consider using them again in the future.

The two Kramer technicians, Kyle and Juan showed up right on the dot, despite the distance in commuting from the company's Mt. Vernon area to Arlington, and immediately set about to determine the source of the leaking water. Rather to take a brute foce approach of cutting into dry walls, it was decided to check all possible sources visible on each of the two floors immediately in vertical line with the accumulating water on the lower floor. In doing so, they decided to look behind the kitchen refrigerator, where there is a plumbing connection to the refrigerator's ice maker. In doing so, they discovered the leak was caused by a worn gasket in the connecting pipe. They shut off the water to the pipe, replaced the gasket and returned the refrigerator to its normal position. The entire operation, from start to finish, took no more than one hour. They wore special shoe covers to avoid making a mess in the house, and were extremely courteous and informative throughout the entire time they worked.

Everything form scheduling to cleanup was professional, on time and done for a fair price. Replaced both faucets and installed a new valve in about an hour. Nice guys, great job! I plan to have them do the plumbing for a half bath this winter.

Sump Pump failed during Hurricane Sandy. Next morning at 6 am I called and Kramer & Sons was there and had two people out at 9 am to dry out my basement and get the sump pump working again. they also gave me estimate on a better sump pump system with battery backup and backup pump that was a good price overall. Very polite and professional.

the current disposal motor stopped working and I checked Angie's List for a plumber to do the swap-out. I bought the coupon for service and unit for $350. I made the appointment, he arrived on time, bringing the new unit. I had cleared the under the sink area so he could work. the swap-out was direct and quick. I signed off on the order and he left. He was polite, careful of my property, and did not have any problems doing the job. I am going to call them because when the hoses and pipes were reconnected, the hose to the kitchen faucet hose was tangled and now I cannot pull it out of kitchen sink opening.

We have used Kramer and Sons several times for new water heater installation, clogged drains, and problems with our tankless water heater. We have always been very pleased with their service, professionalism, and pricing. We especially like knowing the price of their service up front. For this service call, as usual, they were on time, courteous, and professional. They took their time to thoroughly inspect both systems then explain their findings in detail and layman's language, pointing out a potential issue with one of the heating units and what to keep an eye on. These guys are great. We had a water leak in our front yard. They came and repaired the leak. They told us that they see this a lot with copper pipes in the marine clay soil where our house is built. I decided to be safe and get on Dominion's insurance plan for outside water lines. Sure enough, a couple of months later we got an even bigger leak. Since they are contractors for Dominion, it was them who came out and looked at it. At that point, it made sense to go ahead and do a new water main into the house. Dominion gave us some grief for covering this since it was so close to the time of us getting on the plan, but in the end they paid for it. Kramer and Sons were excellent. This was a hard job due to the solid rock under my house. It really took them all day. They were professional and did great work. I am very happy with the result and would use them again.

It was fantastic having into the house someone for whom these issues were no big deal. Kyle hs an excellent personality, but it's not ina Joe Hollywood kind of way. It's a quiet confidence that seems very much to be borne out of his great expertise, and it has been one of the most reassuring visits O ever had from a contractor. Kramer and Sons did a reasonable job, but I'm giving them a B because the plumber that came over didn't find the clean out in our backyard, which meant he had to try a more expensive procedure to clean our drain. I didn't know the clean out was there either...but the second plumbing company I called found it immediately. The main sewer line for the house backed up, flooding parts of our first floor. Because we couldn't find the clean out, the plumber first snaked through a drain on our first floor with a small snake. That didn't solve the problem, so he had to remove a toilet on the first floor in order to use the larger snake, which cost an extra few hundred dollars. I did appreciate that the plumber found a way to save us about $200 by not reinstalling the toilet (at my suggestion). The sewer line continued to back up, and Kramer and Sons sent a plumber back twice for free, as covered under their warranty, which was also nice. We later discovered there was a big crack in the sewer line that allowed a root invasion, so no amount of snaking would have solved the problem. But we wouldn't have known that at the outset and only discovered that after another company sent a camera down the sewer line, which was another expensive procedure.
