The company had been on the court a few houses from me, and calling cards were left on doors. A couple of days later (after checking on Angie's List) I wanted and was given a same-day service call, and the Technicians arrived promptly within an hour. After checking system, found there was a broken connection between the air flow unit and the outdoor unit. New cables were pulled (one spare in case of futher problems), and an overall check of system. I have no reference point for the cost of this type of service, but all is cool now.

I'd used Kramer and Sons before for a variety of plumbing jobs, so they were the ones I called when we needed to replace the toilet in our main bathroom. It was one of the first low-flow toilets made and we were sick of never knowing whether it would flush or overflow. Nick arrived on time and showed me his Kramer & Sons employee ID card before entering our home (this was the first time he had worked in our home). I had done some research for potential replacement toilets on-line, so we discussed which brand/model would be best, he got it from their stockroom and installed it later that day. During this entire process, Nick was very courteous, professional and respectful of our home. Frankly, these are company-wide attributes. On the surface, Kramer & Sons' prices seem higher than other plumbers' prices. I think it's hard to tell if they are because it's hard to make an apples-to-apples comparison. Before I found Kramer & Sons, the plumbers I used (major DC metropolitan companies) would give me a price when they arrived, but it seemed like they always found additional problems that jacked up the price. Kramer & Sons employees have a list of the prices for their services that covers the entire job, including labor. If they think they might encounter a complication, they'll tell you before they begin work and give you a second price in case they have to deal with that. So you know right up front what the job's going to cost. No finding out that the job's going to cost $$$cc more after they've turned off the water and got the pipes open. Also, they're very respectful of your home. They clean up after themselves so well, you'd never know they were there after they leave. They're also considerate of your time, arranging work to cause the least amount of disruption to your home and schedule. Since finding Kramer & Sons on Angie's List a few years ago, I've recommended them to others and have made them our Go-To plumbers.

The technician was very professional. He was able to explain everything in detail. He answered all my questions and concerns and still completed the task on schedule. I will use this company again and ask for Julio.

My in-laws have an old house, and they were having plumbing problems. It looked like they were having sewage back-up into their basement. My husband called his parents' regular plumber who was unable to correct the problem after working on it for awhile, and they said they did not do this type of work. My husband asked if I could look up someone on Angie's List to recommend. I checked to see if Kramer & Sons did this type of work, and it looked like they did. I love Kramer & Sons for past work they have done for us, but we don't always call them because they are not always the cheapest plumber, but they do amazing work. I knew if they did this kind of work, they would do a great job for my in-laws. My husband called them, and they came right out to see the problem. They were able to see what was wrong, gave an estimate, and said they could get to work the next day. They completed the work in a few days and really did a wonderful job. As I said, I would use Kramer & Son for all of my plumbing needs if they were just a little more competitive on price, but if you have something you don't want to trust to anyone else, I wouldn't call anyone else but Kramer & Sons. They are an A+ plumber.

It was a pleasant experience overall. I toilet was leaking and I wanted it replaced. The service provider was responsive and flexible. I scheduled the service and got a plumber to come over later in the week. He did the work quickly, professionally and to my satisfaction. I would recommend them wholeheartedly.

Repair was complete and thorough. Seth made sure there are no other leaks. We were completely satisfied with the work they have done.

Kramer & Sons Plumbing, Heating & Air Conditioning have come out and cleaned the air-conditioning. We got quotes from them and their quote was a little better. They were quick and reliable.

First, the plumber was on time, clean, polite, and effective. As best as I can tell, however, he's an employee and not responsible for pricing. So the blame for this lies with the company, not the plumber who did the work. That said, AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Unless you're mad at your money, that is. (Possibly, they are worth the cost for high end work?) Kramer & Son's policy is $59 for the visit, plus the cost of the work. Even though the quoted price of $418 seemed very high to me, I was already in for $60, I had somewhere else to be, and I didn't want to find another plumber and take more time off work. (So ultimately, it's my fault. I should have told him to leave and tell his boss to pursue collections for the $59). Long story short: the plumber was in the house for less than 1.5 hours, replaced a little bit of pipe, and put in a new hose bib. That's less than $20 in materials, so THE HOURLY RATE WAS ABOUT $300. A $20 coupon did bring the price down from $477 to $457.

Kramer and Sons were straight forwarded with the diagnosis and kept our stress level down. Excellent job!

Just to come out to provide an estimate, Kramer and Sons charged $60. In addition, the estimate they provided was approximately $1,700, which was twice the $850 amount I ended up paying another Angie's List plumber, Haynes Plumbing, to complete the work. Haynes Plumbing did not charge me just to provide an estimate. Kramer's policy is to charge the customer every time they stop by your house. Furthermore, Kramer's original work quote would probably not have been up to Virginia code, since the other plumber had to do additional work to mee VA code that Kramer's estimator did not include in their quote. Consequently, I have doubts about their professionalism.

Very good. Tech was on time, Identified all issues. Suggested priority repairs and optional areas. No pressure as we could have decided to do nothing.

Kramer & Sons was able to make an appointment for the very next morning. The technican was on time, very pleasant, efficient, and cleaned up after himself.

They sent a crew at the end of a work day to look at the problem and collect information for an estimate. By mid-morning the next day I had an email with a written proposal attached. I was able to negotiate some of the terms and conditions of the proposal. I submitted a signed acceptance of the updated offer. Within 24 hours of the initial visit I had a scheduled work start date. The crew showed up on time to start the work. They took great care to be neat when digging with the backhoe and shovels. They finished the work on time. In addition to fixing the problem, the best part was after they were done it looked like they were never there.

He was fantastic. You could not ask for better quality. He left a very clean work site always. He leaves better than he found it. He is very knowledgeable. The man that they sent out this year had been with the company for about 19 years. He is gave really helpful suggestions of other things that might need doing later or how to get something done. He is just very good.

Great, highly recommend Kramer and Sons. However, since I did not have the knowledge of snaking a toilet, I guess I paid for my education. I would highly recommend these guys to give you an estimate, but things you can do yourself, you should just do yourself. Julio did tell me I could do it myself, I guess I was lazy but while writing this I realized that I could of just drove down the street and bought a snake and snaked the toilet myself.

The work was performed well, and subsequently we have not noticed any further leaks. They were professional and friendly, and arrived within the time window indicated beforehand. The price was competitive, as best we could determine.
