The plumbing technician was friendly and courteous. A quote for the work was provided promptly and all work was explained thoroughly. Even after encountering an unexpected issue with the leaking pipe, the technician was knowledgeable enough to effectively resolve the leak. The original quote was maintained and warranties explained. I appreciate the warranties. My brother was here and took their card, because he thought the work was well done, also. We plan to use Kramer and Sons going forward instead of the plumber we've used in the past.

The plumber was fast and explained a relatively simple problem. He simply adjusted the garbage disposal blades to get it to run properly. When I pointed out the dishwasher wasn't draining, he just ran a cycle on it, and the problem was solved. He charged a pretty fair price as well.

The plumber arrived within the time frame given us and started on the problem immediately. Initially the service call was to unclog the kitchen drain; which the plumber was able to do with a little effort. While testing to make sure the pipe was clear of all debris & cleaning up after the work was done; it was then discovered that a somewhat major leak had occurred. Unbeknownst to us, it seems the leak was happening for some time which is unfortunate. After speaking with the plumber on this unexpected discovery, he provided a reason price on fixing the problem immediately. He then called his office and informed him that he would be a little longer at our house. He then began to access the best way to get to the main kitchen drain pipe (which was where the leak was). Regrettably, it took him longer to get to the leaking pipe then fixing it since the pipe location was not very easy to access. Once he was able to remove the cabinet's back panel and flooring, which was like unraveling a puzzle box; he was able to remove the part of the (metal) pipe which had multiple holes in it in a very short period of time and replace it with new pvc pipe and elbow. He then sealed all the pipe joints and thoroughly tested the drain to make sure there were no other leaks. Afterwards he then tested all the bathroom drains and toilets to make sure they were all draining properly as well. Once everything looked to be in working order, he then provided a few recommendations such as a mold remediation company and electrician service call. His concern was that electric juction box for the dishwasher/garbage disposal was in proper working order and also to make sure there were not any possible mold issues due to the consistent water leak. He also recommended that since we still have metal pipes to use an enzyme base drain cleaner and to not use any type of drain cleaner with an acidic base as it can cause corrosion.

They did a good job and their price was reasonable.

I had no prior knowledge of Kramer & Sons and hired them for two reasons (1) they are highly rated on Angie's List and (2) they are located relatively near to my home. I did use the $75 special that they and others made available through Angie's List. I was concerned however that the participating businesses may be using the reduced inspection price as a ruse to "find" expensive repairs. There was no such attempt at all by Kramer & Sons to inflate the bill. Richard was our technician. He did a thorough check of our air handler in the attic and our air conditioner compressor outside. I am thoroughly satisfied with Richard and the company he works for.

It went very well. They did a really good job. We needed someone to do the work and they were the ones that really came upfront and did the work. Other ones didn't want to do the work. We had that came and looked. They didn't want to do the work and Kramer was the one that really came out and did the work. So we were very pleased with what they did and they were very professional about it. It has a warranty on it. They were very good at it. They came out when they said they would, because we had to set up a date and everything. The men were very good and very professional. Their responsiveness was very good.

Initially, I called several plumbers looking for an estimate. Seth Kramer came out to review the situation and provide a field estimate. He was very thorough. He was also knowledgeable about local code and the application to my home and needs. He answered all my questions, either at the time or later via email. The work was estimated at 4-6 hours. When the work was scheduled, two men came. Both were courteous and professional. They took care to protect my floors. They worked well together and got all items done efficiently. Quality products were used. They cleaned up well. I was very pleased with my experience and would use them again.

The providered installed the disposal and removed the old one.

Really good service as usual. They first thought it was the float and replaced that. Then it ended up being the motor and they came back, credited me the service charge and the original work charge and still gave me a military and angies list discount on the new work. They also installed a utility sink and that was great. They relooked at some toilet stuff I had done by a handyman and were able to fix that at no charge (had the wrong "guts" installed and they adjusted the water fill level to make it work). They are always prompt, responsive, professional and they are a really nice local family owned small business.

They provided excellent service, the unit ran much better after the cleaning.

Kramer & sons were wonderful, from the scheduling through Angie's List to the actual service itself. Professional, prompt, polite and clean. It turned out that our furnace was in very good shape and needed no work done at all. But the technician from Kramer & Sons also answered some questions we had about our boiler and an issue we have with our electrical connection to our thermostat. That was tremendously helpful and if we have any of that work done we will absolutely keep them at the top of our list.

I insure my water and sewer lines through Dominion Virginia Power Product & Services as my house was built in 1936 and the lines are aging. I had my supply line replaced by Kramer & Sons a couple of years ago as they are on the list Dominion uses for the Alexandria area. They did a great job including having to install the line in a different part of the property due to an addition to the house in the last 50 years. I have had them back multiple times for issues with my sewer line due to cracks in the pipe where tree roots get in. I say multiple times because Dominion won't let them replace the pipe unless the entire pipe is crushed and broken, so Kramer having to come back is not an issue with Kramer's service but with the insurance company not wanting to replace the line, just keep cleaning it out. I now would only use Kramer for all my plumbing needs. In the last couple of years they have branched out to HVAC and when I need that service I will give Kramer the first crack at that as well. They communicate well, are friendly and professional and do the job right.

I bought the $350 garbage disposal installation special from Kramer and Sons, after checking around (and purchasing a Badger disposal at Lowe's for $90) and realizing that this was a VERY good deal. I was able to return the unit I purchased, and Candace was able to answer all of my questions and schedule the service seamlessly. She was very friendly - an excellent introduction to Kramer and Sons! The day of the service, the two plumbers (sadly, I cannot remember their names at the moment) arrived on time, and were so very, very friendly and polite. They installed the disposal quickly, and were excellent representatives of Kramer and Sons. To me, they handled everything perfectly, and I am very happy with the service. The deal is amazing - it saved me at least $100 on disposal installation!

I decided to contact Kramer and Sons. not only because they were on Angie's List, but they also came highly recommended by my neighbor. Sadly, though, after messaging them On March 16 and March 30 and NOT GETTING ANY REPSPOSE, I cannot understand why they are so highly rated. over the last 6 weeks I have messaged several contractors for various jobs, some can do the work I wanted and some could not, however, the one thing they ALL had in common that they responded. Krammer DID NOT. I even messaged Angies List to see if they were having a relay problem with their messaging system (trying to give Kramer EVERY benefit), but this morning, I found that there is no issue. Oh Well, based on my neighbors recommendation, I thought I had found a plumber, but now the search continues.

The day after the snow storm, I got up and turned on the shower and found I had no water. I couldn't make coffee or even flush the toilet. After having the water authority tell me that the problem wasn't on their end. I went on Angie's List to find a local plumber with a good amount of favorable reviews, That's how I found Kramer and Sons. When I called, I explained how I had my ill 87 year old mother living with me and that water was needed to be able to care of her needs, I was put second in line for service. Julio and Marty came out on the call. They were both great and very professional. Julio gave me an estimate of cost and time and was able to get my pipes unfrozen within the hour, I can't say if they were expensive as I didn't check with any other plumbers, From now on, they are who I will call for any plumbing problems I have!

I ended up calling and leaving a couple messages during business hours and never got a call back. Finally the tried them 1 last time and someone answered. The tech came out, explained what needed to be fixed and did it. It took about 2 hours. The service work was fine and the tech put booties on everytime he entered the house which was nice. Even with the water turned off to the outside our old faucet would still leak. Now it's fine, no leaking. I'd use them again. I would have expected that the service charge would have been waved with work being done but it wasn't. When I set up the appointment the woman didn't say anything about the service fee but the tech did when he arrived.

I used them at my condo that I owned for 7 years and now at my townhouse. I have always, always had excellent service with them. All their technicians have been well trained, professional and know what they are doing. I get an explanation of what they are going to do and how they'll do it. WONDERFUL! Have called them back since to fix an ancient bathtub faucet. I love how they showed me a few different cost options and let ME decide! Always professional prompt and I truly believe they leave my place cleaner than when they got there!

His work was done quickly and with excellent attention to detail. We will use the company again and ask for Nick specifically. Plumbers you can trust are hard to come by. We found one!

They scoped everything and showed us exactly where there was standing water in the pipe. It was still going to be costly to fix because we had to pull up the laundry room floor and not the whole living room floor. It was a much lower expense. We felt like we could trust with what they told us. We don’t think we could trust what the other plumber said. Kramer & Sons actually identified the problem whereas the other plumbers were guessing. Kramer & Sons told that this was not an urgent project. They snaked the drain and the drains began draining which was great. They told it could be a long term problem and not something that we had to do today. The other plumbers were saying that this was an emergency and we had to do it right away. Kramer & Sons did the video for free. They were really, really nice. We are going to use them when we do the work.

The price for the sewer repair was very reasonable compared to the other estimates that we had gotten. They are extremely professional and they clean up the site really well. They are also extremely responsive in terms of emergencies and being there when they say they are going to be there.

The estimate include work that did not need to be done to repair the leak for a total of $422.27. I paid them their fee of $59.00 for giving me the estimate after they told me the AngilesList coupon of $20 did not apply. I got the leak repaired by an excellent plumber for $100.00. I have no knowledge of the quality of their work. The person who gave me the estimate told me were expensive - and he was very right.

I have had a dripping sound in my walls whenever the upstairs water ran so I called for a service call. I was able to get same day service and Marty and Juan arrived promptly early afternoon. They were very nice and professional. They definitely have much experience and knowledge shared between them. They assessed the situation and provided me with many recommendations. There was no fix to be performed because Marty determined that it was from within the drainage pipe. The one negative comment that I annotated has nothing to do with Marty or Juan but rather the company's extremely high prices. At $220 for a leak assessment and then additional for possible repairs if required. The price of the job would have quickly escalated from there.

Everything turned out great and the work was done well. I felt they were very professional and thorough. I had no issues scheduling the appointment. One technician came out to do the work and they were able to get the job done in a reasonable amount of time. Both services were done well and their prices were fair.

I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal for this service and it went fine. Everything was working fine so they did not have to do any repairs or do anything. They were punctual; that part worked out well. I had them come out to look at some other stuff and I will say they are extremely expensive so I am never going back to them again for other stuff. For what they did it was fine.
