I called Kramer and Sons because all I was getting from my usual plumber was a recording. I called Kramer & Sons at approximately 1130 and a person picked up on the second ring.. I was told that they could send someone in an hour or two. The plumber (Juan) arrived in less than an hour. They called to let me know they were on their way. Juan was very professional, gave me the price and began working. He fixed the problem, cleaned up, made sure I was satisfied and then provided the receipt and his card. Awesome service.

Quick response when I contacted them last week. Site visit with lead mechanic to scope work. Proposal sent via email. Scheduled for first call today and they showed up when expected. They wear shoe covers when coming and going from house to try to keep floors clean. Work was performed in competent manner and debris removed. They cleaned up after themselves. Full disclosure - I didn't shop the price so I'm not sure if a B is fair or not but that's my perceived value. If it was 600 I would definitely give them a A on price; who knows maybe 820 is a great price.

Discovered late Thursday night that the garbage disposal had sprung a leak. Immediately searched AL for a plumber - it wasn't a huge emergency as we were able to use the other side of the sink but still wanted to get it fixed asap. Sadat called first thing the next morning and said he could send someone out that afternoon. I had seen the coupon on AL but really appreciated that he told me about it and said to purchase it and they would apply it. Julio arrived - he is a very happy guy - and immediately went to work. He briefly explained the problem and got to work. He was all done within an hour including a very thorough clean up. He went merrily on his way after making a few suggestions about more general maintenance. He even thanked me for contacting Kramer & Sons!!! Excellent work. We will be using them again.

Kramer & Sons was awesome, so much that I have used them in three different homes. The first one was a Big Deal purchase and I did like it so well that I went back and did it two more times. I like their professionalism. I like that they took their time and explained everything to me if they had to replace something, and that they were responsive to call me and say it is time for my heating and asked if I wanted them to come out and do it. I said yes and I was very pleased.

This is the second time I've used Kramer and Sons for plumbing work, but it will unfortunately be the last. I have no complaints about the service, which has always been very good. It's that I can't justify paying prices that seem to be so far above-market. Kramer & Sons charged me more than $400 to snake a single drain. That's just too much. The plumber who performed the work said that Kramer and Sons charges a flat rate for snaking - so if it takes ten minutes or ten hours, the charge is the same. For the vast majority of drain clogs, I think the time spent will be closer to ten minutes than ten hours. So Kramer and Sons is basically making everyone pay for the small percentage of jobs that require extended time and work. That's a great deal for Kramer and Sons, but not for the customer.

We had a warranty on our water line in the front lawn should it break. It broke and we called Dominion Power. The first company they sent out was a waste of time. Never use American Plumbing. We asked Dominion to remove American Plumbing from their list and to sent us a professional company who would do what they said they would do and act in a professional manner. They sent Kramer & Sons. Life got so much earlier. Andy was very nice. He and his crew did something one doesn't see that often. They cleaned up after themselves and fixed everything beyond our satisfaction. We highly recommend this company in case you find yourself in the hands of someone or a company that LIKE AMERICAN PLUMBING does not know what it is doing. GO KRAMER & SONS & THANKS ANDY!!!!

With the shower faucet needing repair, I put together a list of all the little things I needed done (broken toilet seat, loose toilet seat, broken toilet flusher, and a loose sink faucet). I was quoted 167.62 for replacing the toilet seat with one I had already purchased (I am unable to loosen the screw myself). When I asked whether I could have the bolt loosened for me and finish the repair myself, the response was a laugh in my face. The toilet flushing mechanism was going to cost me 250.96. When I mentioned that another plumber had difficulty getting the mechanism to work without running, I was advised to purchase a new toilet rather than pay such (admittedly) high costs to adjust the mechanism periodically. Showing the loose faucet, I was advised to purchase a different kind of faucet that would be less likely to loosen with use because the fee for tightening it was (admittedly) so high.

We had a major plumbing/construction job performed by Kramer & Sons and we are completely satisfied with their work. Soon after purchasing a townhouse, we discovered several inches of sewer water in the basement. Another plumber sent a camera down the sewer lateral and discovered the line was blocked with roots. They augured most of the roots out of the line but we needed a permanent solution. Since the house is nearly 50 years old, we decided to replace the entire 30-foot lateral. We found most plumbing companies don?t do this type of work because of its scale, but we were able to get a handful of companies to submit proposals, including Kramer & Sons. We were very impressed with K&S. Everyone we interacted with was very courteous, professional and responsive. Even though they were very busy (as you can imagine with an Angie?s List highly-rated company), they were still able to come out the same day for a free site survey and provide a proposal later that day. K&S was several thousand dollars below cost compared to all other proposals; nearly HALF the cost estimated by 2 other highly-rated plumbers. We chose K&S for many reasons; cost (obviously), their proposal was the most detailed, listed exactly what the proposal included (Miss Utility marking, excavation, disposal, installation, County inspection/approval, back-filling, even spreading grass seed/straw afterwards), plus a 5-year guarantee. They were able to begin work on-time, less than a week later. On Day 1, the crew explained everything they were going to do, even cutting the section of broken pipe and setting it aside so we could see the cause of the root intrusion. They worked quickly and appeared to do quality work; avoided disturbing the sidewalk and most of the large bushes (only removed one azalea), kept the site clean and organized throughout the process (excavated dirt on plastic sheeting), cordoned off the area at night, and left the site in as best of shape as they could (they even replanted a few plants they displaced). The final cost was actually a bit less than the proposal. Overall, we believe Kramer & Sons is the cream of the crop, and highly recommend their services!

Could have been a really messy job but everything went very well. The plumber was very professional and worked very quickly.

I called Kramer and Sons around 10:30. By 10:40 they were here and were able to look over the problem and confirm the leak and methods to fix it.

They were punctual, they did what they said they would, cleaned up behind themselves and they got it right the very first time.

When our water heater leaked and made a flooded mess our first stop was Angie's List where we found Kramer's And Son with both great reviews and a coupon. They were very responsive in first telling us how to shut off the leak and then arriving early the next day with a new water heater. We were impressed with the great attitude of Richard the expert technician and then the owners of the company when they came out to help with removal of our old and very large water heater from a tight closet.. Richard carefully explained all his work and carefully tested the new system to ensure it worked carefully. We were able to identify some additional problems with our pipes and toilets that needed action.. He provided clear explanations and prices to us in advance. He returned to complete the additional work and continued to go the extra mile in providing outstanding service. He even made a return visit at no additional cost to install an improved flapper on our toilet was ensure the new flapper exact tight fit as he was not satisfied with the first one. he pointed out a problem with our main water control value and a small leak that could have caused major problems, his repairs made an immediate improvement. He also carefully test our water pressure to ensure the gage registered exactly right and the improvements were again immediate throughout the house. Would highly recommend Kramer and Son and especially Richard and Juan, the experts who took great care of us. They area little expensive, but worth the price for great work.

All sinks are draining better than before.

We contacted Kramer and Sons to get an estimate for three plumbing needs. Our outside faucet was dripping, as well as the inside connecting valve. We needed a new pressure reducing valve, and also wanted to have a garbage disposal installed. (We purchased the disposal ourselves.) We found this company's quote, on all three jobs, to be extremely excessive. We paid the $59 service call fee and opted not to use them. We had another plumber come out the same afternoon. The garbage disposal was installed in less than one hour, and the charge was significantly less than Kramer's. Regarding the outside faucet and inside valve, Kramer told us we needed to replace both of them. The plumber we used simply tightened them both, saving us a lot of money and unnecessary work. in addition, the quote for the pressure reducing valve from the company we used was significantly less than Kramer's. (They also waived the service charge, which Kramer's does not do.) I suggest you obtain additional quotes before using this company.

I had an appointment scheduled for 2pm and they wanted to show up at 1pm. My work was not scheduled to be done until 2pm. I am just requesting a refund.

The people from Kramer & Sons are very courteous and professional. But I thought they charged an exorbitant amount for the work done (considering time and difficulty). They replaced a small section (less than two feet) of copper pipe with a lower quality pipe, and charged $500 for the job. Problem seems to be that they use a "book" showing what to charge for any service, regardless of the circumstances or the time actually required. If you want service from qualified, professional, friendly people and have a lot of money to spend, Kramer & Sons is for you!

Making the appointment was a breeze. They contacted us within two days of us purchasing the coupon. The technician arrived early, was knowledgeable, professional, polite, and actually helpful.He noticed a leakage and low freon, but did not scare me into a repair. Because of that, I'm almost certain to schedule the repair with Kramer and Sons. This was a very positive tune up experience; well worth the price.

I called Kramer and Sons based on the positive reviews on this site. When the gentleman came out to do an estimate, he informed me right up front that the project I had in mind was something they could do, but it did not fit into the way their business was structured, so their estimate was likely to be high. Not only was he honest about the estimate, but he provided me references of two other companies that are better set up to do that kind of work and more likely to have a lower estimate. In my opinion, just the fact that they were willing to refer me to a competitor who they thought would do my job at a lower cost speaks volumes about the company. It will certainly make me much more likely to call them in the future when I have other more standard plumbing needs.

Awesome personal service! Simply explained system to me and quickly cleaned and serviced it without sales pitch or scrutinizing other components to "find" something else wrong.

Technician was courteous and explained what was wrong with furnace and how he was going to fix it. Only took a few minutes to replace ignition. Technician wore booties to keep our carpets clean.

It went well. Very good and friendly service. the work was accomplished and cleaned up afterwards. The technician made sure everything worked, and they gave me a follow up guarantee.

I found this provider on Angie's List and the experience was very good. I have nothing bad to say; they were very good.

Great price was part of Angie's list discount. The great thing was they offered to look at other things in my house, found a code problem with the way another plumber had installed water heater which I was able to correct with the other plumber for free.

The plumbing technician was friendly and courteous. A quote for the work was provided promptly and all work was explained thoroughly. Even after encountering an unexpected issue with the leaking pipe, the technician was knowledgeable enough to effectively resolve the leak. The original quote was maintained and warranties explained. I appreciate the warranties. My brother was here and took their card, because he thought the work was well done, also. We plan to use Kramer and Sons going forward instead of the plumber we've used in the past.
