It was fine. In fact they were helpful because the guy who came out gave me several stages and options to work from and work with.

When I returned home, the yard looked great. We'd definitely use them for more complicated projects (design and planting of flowers/bushes) in the future.

Switched to Kingstowne Lawn and Landscape after several years previously using 2 other companies that provided mediocre service/results at best. Kingstown's quality of services since early June 13 to present has been excellent. They are very responsive to initial contact using their outstanding web portal interface to coordinate/schedule both lawn and tree/shrub services. The immediate crew supervisor (Scott Norden) for my property often communicates via email in between services to address areas of concern, get any feedback I might have with any lawn or tree/shrub issue; or to request new services like I will require (mowing/leaf pick-up) in the next few months. The 1 Sept service to aerate /over/power seed and fertilize/treat the lawn was particularly noteworthy. It resulted in a great looking lawn following germination 2-3 weeks later . They issue specific written instructions to care for /water the lawn, you follow that , it will look great and it did. Scott dropped by for another follow-on tree/shrub service in late Sept/early Oct to ensure all was well. He left a message on the yard sign that they had applied the treatment and commented that 'the lawn looked great and I could not agree more. I have not seen such fantastic results with my previous providers. Looking forward to many future years of support from this company and of course yearly aeration/reseeding as the lawn matures into a nice thick turf around the house.

We have been using Kingstowne for a few years now. The lawn looks clean and neat. They have always been responsive to my questions and concerns. Before we hired them, we did get a couple of slightly lower estimates, but went with the professionalism of Kingstowne, and we have not been disappointed. We have also used their painting division and been very happy with the results.

My lawn looks great. They come by usually every two weeks during the day while I am at work. They bill me on time every month. They take care of all my lawn maintenance needs.

The designer came out...listened to what I wanted and asked good questions. She also followed up on questions that I had about parts of the plan. She did a good job...provided a good sketch. I haven't gone ahead with the project due to re-prioritizing my house improvement projects.

The landscape designer that met with us did a very thorough review of our property, and prepared a sketch for a new front pathway and plantings. We discussed at length the various projects we would like to complete in the yard, and how the projects could be phased over time. It was especially helpful to be advised that several of our existing trees were planted too close to the house by the developer 20 years ago, and have root systems that could potentially damage our foundation if not addressed. It was well worth the $75 for the "big deal" for the consultation, and we would definitely use Kingstowne for our exterior projects.

The provider was difficult to schedule. Once consultation was provided, delivery of plans took several months. Plans provided were of minimal use.

Was given a proposal for work to be done. Did not pursue it.

They came and just looked around and kind of drew up a plan or something of what they would do. Everything was fine except he was little too persistent afterward. They did a good design job. I have used them before in the past and liked them a lot. This guy and I just didn't particularly click and so I don't feel I am being fair with him when I used him in the past they were excellent and I really like the manner of work. I probably would not use them again.

My experience was not good starting with the first phone call. The woman who took my call was rude and condescending. It took a couple weeks to finally get the estimate in my hands and they went to the wrong address. I was then informed the address I wanted the service done at was out of their service area. How difficult would that have been to confirm on the first call? Waste of time.

I had contacted the above provider by email through Angie's to try and set up a time for an estimate on decking and landscaping, but was informed it would cost me a $50 non-refundable fee. I wanted to get more than one estimate, and did not want to spend $50 if I chose not to use them.

We purchased the big deal coupon for this service and we think it was just for design services. We liked their quality of work.

My experience overall went very well. They seem to be knowledgeable in their field. The staff is friednly and professional. The pricing is reasonable. I would recommend this company to others.

It was on time and on budget.

Called and they gave me an estimate and I signed the contract on line, paid half the cost of the work and they did an excellent job! What was most surprising is that I never would have known they had done the work had I not seen the white stones along the side of the garage and seen the pictures they sent of what lay under the ground that they replaced...and to see how they cleaned up and covered up and spread grass seed and used the dirt they dug up to put in another place in my yard that needed it and put grass seed on that, well I was so darned impressed...job well done! I would highly recommend Kingstowne!

My yard is bombarded with weeds. I signed a contract with Kingstowne Lawn and Landscape to get my lawn back into shape with the understanding that it may take a couple of years. They show up when it's time to spread the fertilizer and weed killer. In the Fall they will reseed and I expect to see some improvement in the Spring.

awful - work was done poorly, owner of the company got involved and was nasty. I would never use them again for ANY job!

The landscaper was very knowledgeable and spent a great deal of time. However, the cost for the services was too high and the issues too many so we never followed through with any other services.

The design was what we had wanted, the designer was prompt and thorough, We have the design to follow when we wish to move forward. no plants were purchased at that time.

The design consultation service was exceptional! The senior landscape designer arrived on site as scheduled despite significant rainfall. The initial design consultation was for front-yard landscaping as well as to propose a solution to mitigate surface water run off associated with the left side of the yard/patio through grading and plantings. The expert discussed some options consisting of re-working the landscape façade, reutilizing some existing plants and placing new plants, and pruning of large holly tree. A preliminary sketch of the front-yard landscaping project was furnished. However, the second part of the project would involve the mitigation of surface water run off from a higher elevation property onto ours (situated at a lower elevation). Given the amount of rainfall during the consult visit, the expert saw first hand the specific water run off problem we were experiencing on the left side of the house originating from the higher-elevation and advised us to reconsider a landscaping project that would utilize terracing and drainage instead of focusing only on absorption of water through plantings. This particular project was viewed as a major undertaking as far as cost and one that would require further consultation and design as well potential collaboration with other stakeholders. Consequently, the actual landscaping project was put on hold until further consultation/consideration.

It went quite well. I have had ongoing drainage problems with my 30+ year old townhouse. Alan, the landscaping consultant from Kingstown Landscaping, came out and we discussed what might be done to help address some of my current drainage issues. Alan was very professional and gave me some great suggestions for my situation. I am pleased with the results and have gotten compliments from some of my neighbors on the work that was done. I would gladly recommend Kingstowne Landscaping and Alan in the future.

It went well. They put together the diagram and had the consultation. Their ideas were a little more than what I wanted to do. I eventually went with another company that was more modest with the design. The design was useful and well worth the money that was paid.

It was fine but they proposed something that was not in my budget.
