Was given an estimate of the cost of the work and it more than doubled in time and expense. Since this was a new company we gave them the benefit of the doubt and payed the bill since the employees worked very hard and did an excellent job. Kept asking for an itemized bill including days worked and hours. It took a long time and many requests before I finally got a handwritten accounting, which I found was padded in terms of hours worked. The yard turned out well, and the following season I agreed to hire the same company for some yard maintenance. The employees they sent were young and inexperienced, not hardworking as the first crew, and even weeded out some of my new plants. I reported this and for the next maintenance I requested by name two of the original employees. I set up the appointment via the phone, confirmed by email, and they never showed. When I contacted the owner about it, I was not even given a good excuse or promise to reschedule them. It was a few weeks before he even returned my call. I decided to not use the company again and warned a neighbor to keep track of the hours worked. I did not rate them at the time because they were a new company and I wanted to give them a chance. After the work I was given a business card with the new web page, and when I looked at it I noticed that they had put pictures of my yard on their web page (including a photo that included me and another family member), without our permission. When I told the owner that he needed to consult with me before using our photos for advertising, he promised to remove them but that never happened and this is almost two years later. I would have agreed to let him use the photos if he had sent me copies of the pictures he took, but he never sent them, despite numerous promises. Another concern of mine was that I noticed that on their web site they were advertising that they did Landscape design, although the designs they were using were developed by a talented designer from another company. I did check out their current web site and noted that they are no longer taking credit for someone else's work, I basically do not find them professional and can not rely upon them to follow through. The reason for this current review is that it seems to me that nothing has changed. The email I received today asking if I wanted to use their services was attached to one that talks about the no show in the past, which did not seem to be good advertising. When I checked out their web site and found my photos on it, I decided it was worth letting others know what to expect in advance.
