Liars! Unreliable not trustworthy- low level thugs - those are the most accurate words to describe the entire Mcenearney and associates realtor and property mgmt team! Jen walker and team are part of this group. They’ll come across as very sweet and responsive in the beginning until you have signed your lease, paid the money in my case $8000 upfront - two months before move in to a s***** poorly maintained bungalow in rosemont - then the lovely Jen walker team will simply disappear leaving you to the mercy of their “other” business unit that will lie shamelessly and point fingers at each other saying “oh hey we never said this - Jen walkers team must’ve misled you! “ wow Meanwhile you will pay a hefty sum each month for rent while being harassed nonstop by their team- lies, BS of all sorts. Then you’ll vacate and hope that the nightmare is over but no they won’t refund your security deposit either inspite of written documentation. This is how these miserable people get off!

Jen a Walker is unprofessional and uses bully tactics. We had signed her for a one month trial. She showed us houses that did not fit our needs and would ignore us when we asked to see some houses. She did not contact us for a few weeks after our trial period ended even though we continued to ask her to show us houses we saw on MLS. We then emailed her to let her know that we were signing with someone else. Jen responded " good luck, you are gonna need it. ". Not a response you would expect from a professional.

After I hired her I had to go through yet another round of prepping the house and staging it, including painting the exterior. It had already been on the market for about 6 months so I was tired and stressed. Ms. Walker should have recognized this (especially since I told her that) and taken care to be more professional. There were 2 incidents which stand out. The first one was that one Saturday morning a realtor came with clients to my house at 9:00 in the morning without calling beforehand. He said that the listing did not say anthing about hours nor anything about calling first. I immediately called Ms. Walker. She happened to be at an event that she either sponsored or had interest in. She was not courteous when I called to ask her if the listing indeed did not specify viewing times or that agents should call first. It was clear that I was annoying her. She refused to check the listing and said to me, "Well no one died so get over it". The second incident: I went to a meeting one night, leaving the house about 6:30 and returning at 9:30. When I got home I realized that someone had been in the house while I was gone. Again, no one had called to say they were coming and no cards were left. I then realized that someone had come in to leave additional sales brochures in the house. When I called Ms. Walker the next day she said, "Yes, one of my little elves came in to drop off the brochures". I told her that I did not like that and that I should have been notified that someone was coming into my house while I was not there. She again told me that it was not a big deal. I told her that her little "elf" had no way of knowing whether I was home or not. I could have been in the house and thought it was a burglar. What might have happened if I was a gun owner? Again, Ms. Walker's attitude about this incident was inappropriate and unprofessional.
Description of Work: I hired Jen Walker after trying to sell my house with a different real estate agent. I hired her based on her reputation as one of the #1 agents in Alexandria. She did put my house on the market but was not successful in selling it. The not selling was not the problem I had with her - it was her lack of professionalism and her less than courteous attitude towards me - the client.

Description of Work: we went with Jenn Walker because her reputation in the delray area of Alexandria is unmatched. We listed out house competitively because we didn't have the time or patience to have the house on the market for long. Jenn worked her contacts and in three days we had two offers both at and above list. Jenn did everything she could to help sell the house including helping within staging and fixing odds and ends. we would highly recommend Jenn she's not going to waste your time or money and make you do things that won't sell your house.

We chose Ms. Walker initially because of her reputation in the area, however after a month we discontinued our working relationship with her because of poor communication and lack of professionalism. A few high points: 1. At the brokers' open house, only 3 brokers attended. Ms. Walker said that brokers don't go to these open houses any more, however we found out later from another realtor that the open house wasn't advertised at all. Our second realtor had 28 brokers at the brokers' open house. 2. When we discussed staging the house, we specifically said not to hang a picture on a certain wall. The wall was cement and required drilling a hole then using a screw to hang anything. This requirement was ignored and we returned home one day to find that someone had tried to hammer a nail into the wall. This didn't work, chipped the paint and left a hole in the wall which I had to repair. 3. Prior to the broker's open house, we scheduled the stager to come in on Tuesday to stage the entire house. When we returned Sunday night from a weekend away, we found the house completely staged. While it was fine to have the staging completed, it would have been more professional to inform us it was going to occur instead of simply assuming we'd be OK with it. 4. We left a check for Ms. Walker to cover some cleaning expenses. The check was left on the kitchen table prior to an open house one Sunday afternoon. We returned home after the open house to find the check gone and we assumed Ms. Walker or her agent had taken it. Two days later a policeman knocked on our door and handed us the check. He said it had been found in the street several blocks away. This means that Ms. Walker had taken the check, then lost it outside of our home. She never mentioned the missing check to us even after specifically requesting we leave it, and had the police not returned the check, we would have never known about it. I'm not exactly sure what could have happened to my bank account had that check fallen into the wrong hands, but I'm glad I haven't found out. The professional thing to have done would have been told us about the lost check, deducted the $25 cancellation fee, and move on. After several weeks of very poor open house showings, Ms. Walker asked me what I thought we should do. I told her I though we should hire a realtor, and I went and found one. We sold 45 days later.
Description of Work: We contracted with Ms. Walker to sell our home in Alexandria (Del Ray), VA.

We had kept our eye on the three primary realtors in the Del Ray area while we were living there, and Jen had always stood out as the most genuine re: being a part of the community as well as having the most business savvy around pricing (both listing and offering). When we decided that we needed to make a move, we already knew that she would be our choice. From the get-go, Jen was a pleasure to work with. She was in retail leadership in her past, and it clearly comes through in her dedication to customer service, something that doesn't feel like it's just part of the job (in this industry, that's not always the norm) but helps to define who she is. Her model for pricing is unbeatable, and one other reason we chose her. When she let us know the price she wanted to list our house at, I was a bit nervous, as it seemed to be too high for what the market would take. However, after a wonderful staging of the place (and she has a great team of people to handle all aspects of increasing the curb and interior appeal), we had an offer on the place before the open house, and accepted a final offer that Sunday night. You can't go wrong with Jen, unless you're the type who expects 100% dedication to you and only you. Jen is good enough that she normally has multiple properties at a time that are moving. If you trust she has your interests in mind, she'll come through in a big way. Just try to build into any offer that the closing happens in the Del Ray/Old Town area, as I don't think she enjoys traveling too far out for business. Really, though, who can blame her, as Del Ray is one of those small-town-community-driven neighborhoods that is a rare find in the DC-Area nowadays. When you can walk to the local hardware store, a great selection of restaurants and local watering holes, and the best custard this side of Milwaukee (while still having ample free parking: sorry DC), you rarely want to leave.
Description of Work: Jen helped us to sell our house after we decided to move closer to the rest of our family (out West), and took care of all details.
