Excellent professional job and company

We've used Homm for several other projects. This one was relatively small and straightforward. Our deck was due for powerwashing and re-sealing. Homm's crew did the work over two days, first washing and then coming back for the painting when the deck was dry. Our deck looks great again!

It was excellent in every respect. They are very careful with our home as if it is their own. They are a great company. We are very happy with them.

Overall I'm happy. Old walls that needed lots of repair, some areas could've used more detail.

The painters did an excellent job and left the rooms clean when they left each night. They fixed cracks and peels. My 83-year-old house looks good as new.

From job estimate to completion of painting, it was a pleasure to deal with these professionals. We received estimates from several other companies. Even with estimates, they stood out with the thoroughness of the proposal, the responsiveness to questions and professionalism of the estimator. They provided 2 coats, using brushes and rollers (rather than the less preferred spraying technique).

Talked to Andres after my general contractor (basement renovation) gave a high estimate to do the main+upstairs painting as well. Homm provided a quick informal estimate, and after a timely onsite inspection the final estimate came in almost identical to the verbal and well below the general contractor. Homm generally uses Sherwin Williams or Benjamin Moore - our estimate was based on SW Duration which is what we used for the project. Homm did a GREAT job. Andres was very responsive to changes and additional requests and when he had travel (work was done over holidays) Roger stepped in seamlessly to ensure work completed to our satisfaction. More importantly, the crew arrived right on time on both days and worked hard. We have an older house and had a lot of bad nailpops and other wall damage. I was impressed with how well they were able to correct these. Roger also pointed out a hall where previous owners had painted over wallpaper and was frank about the options and risks without pushing for more money. We elected to save the money and at the close of the job you can't see the seam. We had six painters for most of the job including Walter the site foreman who was fastidious throughout and ran multiple final checks/touchups before the final walkthrough with me. They are great about cleaning up after themselves throughout the job. The job completed in 2 days versus the 3 scheduled (perhaps because of the staff available) even after we added another room to the project. Will be first on a list for any future work - they are not the cheapest (but close) but quality and professionalism is top marks for the money.

Great. They were on time and got to work right away. They estimated a bit less than 2 days and they completed the full job in a day and half. They were very capable and very professional and they did great work. I checked two other painters and they were less than both. There were also a few spots on my walls that need minor repairs. They completed this work as well. I had moved most of the furniture but had a few things which they moved in and out of the apartment in order to complete the work.

Although the rainy weather pushed back the start date, the services were performed quickly, neatly, and professionally. Andres was very pleasant to communicate with, as was the painting crew leader. The cost was about $300 less than another estimate I received.

They did excellent work. They were highly professional in their estimate process and in performing the work. Rain delayed the project a bit, and they doubled the number of workers to help compensate for that. They took into account little details that I hadn't considered - like painting the exterior and interior of the front door. They were also able to match a paint color of another house in our neighborhood -- we simply gave them the address of that home and they matched it. Their price was about $3k less than any other estimate we got, including estimates from other highly-rated Angie's List companies.

We are very satisfied with Homm's crew’s professionalism, industry and completion of the job in three days. While one crew member was power washing on the first day, others climbed ladders and sanded and puttied the window muntins in preparation for painting. After the weekend, the crew applied two coats of paint to the windows and trim, and a single coat of paint the porch overhang. On the third day they applied a second coat to the porch overhang, painted the shutters, and stained the three stairwells and adjacent fences. They stored ladders and tarps unobtrusively along the rear yard fence and apparently cleaned up every day as they worked because the ground surrounding the house was clean. The foreman was patient as we reconsidered changing the stain color.

Mr. Matheu was very professional, the work was done timely, so far no issues with the stain. Only negative comment would be more advance notice when they would start. I would hire again.

Andres, from the beginning knew what he was talking about when he came to give me an estimate. He sent me the quote and felt it was very fair as I had gotten 3 other quotes. He gave me a possible start date. The date was moved due to weather conditions but he was in communication at all times. The painting team showed up on time and worked ALL DAY for 4 days. They cleaned up at the end of everyday. We are very happy with the finished work! They even were able to fix our rotting portico posts!

I was looking for a reputable painting firm to spruce up the outside of my home and ended up choosing Hömm. From start to finish, this was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had with any contractor as a homeowner. I instantly knew from my initial meeting with Andres that I’d be in good hands. He returned my call within the day and was at my house the next morning to do a walk-around, during which we discussed various options for the exterior painting work, including cleaning the aluminum siding. He was very thoughtful, making suggestions as appropriate and never pushing any sort of up-sell. I had a proposal in my hands just a day or two later, with everything clearly laid-out. They use an E-sign service, making the whole acceptance process quite easy, and I was on the calendar for their next available slot. Everything went very, very well during the painting itself, with the team doing an excellent job. They were particularly careful with the trim work, taping surfaces to leave a neat appearance when they were done. The railings on my front steps look better than they ever have due to their attention to sanding down as needed and smoothing out the surfaces. I also had to have some woodwork replaced with new PVC board, and I very much appreciated that the team put the joints between boards in inconspicuous places, below the level of my deck so they can’t be seen. These little touches are the true mark of people who take pride in their work. Finally, I really appreciate how careful the guys were at the end of the job, tidying up and leaving everything just right. We did a final walk-through once the work was completed, and my house looks spectacular! I’ve already recommended Hömm to several of my neighbors, who happened to be around when the work was being done. They were also quite impressed by the team’s care and attention to detail, along with their courtesy. All in all, a great experience - and I’ll be calling you again soon for some interior work, Andres!

Great! They were very professional and considerate of my request that they take care around affected landscaping. Roger was on site every day and was a delight to work with and communication was excellent. They did extensive prep work before they began staining. They found a way to repair some cedar siding that had been installed incorrectly by another contractor. . My 35 year old house looks new!

This is a very professional company. From the initial meeting with Andres to the work itself everyone was prompt, polite, and professional. At least six to eight painters came on the first day and worked steadily - completing the bulk of the job on day one. One painter came out the next day and painted the doors. All of the work was done very well. I am pleased with this company and would use them again.
