Fantastic work. No complaints. From estimate to final completion, I didn't have any problems. Any question I had, it was promptly answered. As we were going through the work, I noticed additional work needed and asked if that could be done. Andres and Roger were more than accommodative and finished the additional work in the same original time frame. I would certainly hire them again for my new house.

Great experience. Great price and they use highly rated Sherwin-Williams paint. Andres insisted on a primer coat unlike many other bids I received but even with primer the job was less expensive than some other quotes. Andres and the painters were very professional, punctual, and overall did a really quality job.

I did not end up using him because the offer was too high.

I contacted Homm after reviewing feedback on angie's list and requested an estimate to provide touch up painting on the exterior of my house (wood trim and shutters) and painting for all of the interior rooms of my house. Andres came to my home and was extremely professional talking with me about what I wanted from the project and the services he could provide. Of the three contractors that I asked to bid on this project he was the only one that discussed how they would address the possibility of my home having lead paint (my house was built in the late 1940s) and ensure that lead dust was not spread around where my toddler might ingest it. While Homm's estiamte was competitive with the other offers I received I ultimately went with another company based on the recommendation of a friend, however, I will consider Homm for future projects.

They did a fantastic job. It was probably one of the best painting jobs I have ever seen. The person that managed it was very accommodating due to my schedule. I would try to find a flaw but couldn’t find anything wrong with it at all.

Andres Matheu (the owner) came to my home to give me an estimate. I provided the paint colors and he recommended the quality of paint and the number of coats. The job was fairly simple: paint walls, trim, and ceilings -- each a different shade. He gave me a preliminary estimate and explained what would be involved and how long it would take; I asked for the work to be done on a specific day and he said he could do that. He then sent me a written estimate by e-mail that included the total amount and a contract which I signed and returned to him by e-mail too. The day before the job was to start, he contacted me to remind me that the painters would arrive the next day, some time between 8:30 and 9:00. Two painters came and did a wonderful job; they covered the furniture with plastic and were careful to make sure there was no damage. It took them a full day and part of the next morning to finish. They were very polite and respectful, hardly chit-chatted, and worked non-stop. They took care to cover up little imperfections so the final result looked as good as possible (this is a 20+ year old building and the walls and ceilings are not perfectly smooth). They cleaned up everything before leaving, on both days, and they were very responsive to my requests to touch up cleaning on a few places. When the job was done, Andres Matheu called on that same day to ask if I was satisfied and whether any follow up was necessary; he explained how to care for the walls and how to wipe any smudges or scuff marks that occur in the future. The same day, he sent me another document by e-mail for me to sign indicating that the painting had been done to my satisfaction. He asked that I return it my mail with a check for the total amount of the job. Mr. Matheu is very polite and professional. It was a pleasure to do business with him. I will certainly call him again for other projects.

He was very responsive and gave an estimate right away. His knowledge, price, and professionalism were all very impressive.

Fantastic work for an excellent price! Outstanding professionalism in the initial contact and estimate visit, and definitely in the actual painting. I am extremely pleased and satisfied with all of their work including: the expert drywall patching and wall prep, the detailed, clean and neat painting, the clean job site, and final clean-up. A huge plus is that I was very comfortable with the professionalism of the Homm crew . . as a woman home alone, I've occasionally experienced workers who come into my home and seem creepy or even try to flirt with me . . yuck!! But not with the Homm workers! They just worked very fast and did an outstanding job.

Andres promptly scheduled the estimate appointment and met me. Of all the contractors I contacted, Andres was the only one who was willing to undertake the replacement of the soffit vents. His price was also very competitive with others that I contacted. Work started on the day scheduled. There was a slight mixup with the wording on the proposal and the color of the paint for the siding on the addition, but Andres agreed to make it right. I prepared a punchlist which I sent to Andres. He came to the house to review the items at which time he presented me with a new proposal with increased costs to cover the additional paint for the addition siding and time for the soffit vents. While we had a fixed price agreement, I did appreciate his willingness to undertake the soffit vent work. I did not believe he was due additional for the mixup on the colors for the siding. I agreed to provide him with consideration for the risk he undertook with the soffit vent work. All work was professional and with high workmanship. He notified me that the punchlist was done, but when I checked, there were two items that were missed. When I advised Andres of this and suggested a modified payment plan until the last items were completed I received a call back and his voice sounded strained. I explained to him that it should not fall to me to perform his QA/QC work and that I did not want to have a strained relationship with him. He agreed to have the remaining work finished, which he did. Overall, the value I received from Homm was outstanding. The professionalism rating was put at a "B" vs "A" due to the mixup with the paint colors and the "issues" with finishing the punchwork items.

Two painters arrived on time and they completed and the job in about 5 hours. They covered the floors and fixed the nail holes before they started painting. Very quick and efficient. I would definitely do business with them again.

We are pleased with the final result. The paint job was quality work, and I think the patching/sanding was more than they bargained for, but they cleaned up after their work pretty well. Their price was on the higher end, but we did use coupons from Angie's List for this job. The foreman waited until the end of the day to tell us he "could not paint the exterior door because of the type of door it was." However, the owner was very responsive and apologetic, offering to send them back to paint it right away. We decided we will replace the door soon anyway, so it all turned out okay.

This is the first time I have used a professional painter and I was a bit intimidated by the cost. Once I checked around and realized that this was a reasonable cost for the amount of work I was looking to have done I went ahead with the project. I feel that I started to be a difficult customer because I originally was going to have the foyer and hallway painted and because that would have been a lot more straight forward the cost would have been about $200 less. Once I realized that I would have to keep my Labrador out of the area for two days I realized that I needed to switch rooms. The dining room had old (1950's) wall paper and the previous owners had used molding for a chair rail. So I removed everything from the room and blocked the entrances so the dog wouldn't get into the room. Two workers showed up on Friday 10 minutes before they said they would be there and worked all day. They took off the wallpaper and applied mud to the walls to smooth them out. The mud had to dry and originally they were planning to come back on Monday and I started stressing about not being able to use the room (and having everything in the living room) through the weekend. Before I could say anything they told me that they would be back on Saturday between 8:30 and 9:00. At 8:30 one painter (Oscar) was there, greeted the dog and got to work. He covered the door openings with plastic and covered the areas that he was working on. I picked red for the top part of the wall and a beige for the lower part. I was told that red is a very hard color to get even and I believe that Oscar had to put three coats of paint on. He did an amazing job and I'm sorry that I ever had any doubt that this was the way to go. I feel that this was money well spent. Every day since the paint job was done I've been thrilled with the work and have already recommended this company to two other people. I highly recommend this company!

The painters arrived exactly on time. They moved all the furniture to the centers of the rooms and covered the floor and furniture with clean drop cloths. They even put "slippers" on the grandfather clock so that the floor would not be marred. It was amazing how much care they took! The painter, Omar, was beyond talented. Everything was done to perfection in one day--two coats on the walls with Lamplight Yellow and two coats on the wookwork with off-white. When they finished, it looked like a brand new house! Omar cautioned not to hang any pictures or move furniture next to the walls for 48 hours. He replaced all hardware. They cleaned everything up to perfection. They never used a phone or ate during work. I thought to myself, "If God needed a room painted, He would hire these guys!" The cherry atop the sundae occurred the next morning. It was Saturday--around 10 AM--Andres called to see if we had any questions and if we were completely satisfied. He also reminded us not to hang pictures yet. He said that he came by to check on the guys and thought the shade of yellow was inviting like a beach house. I could not believe that a business owner would call on a non-business day just to make sure the job had been done to our satisfaction! What a delight to have painting done by Homm! (And I am a very picky person when it comes to making changes in my home.)

Initially Andres came out to give an estimate for painting our living room / dining room area, but when he got there he was more then happy to give us an estimate for other rooms as well. I really appreciated Andres taking the time to make sure that we were on the same page as far as what our expectations were and gave us his professional recommendations. The proposal was sent over very quickly and as soon as we sent it in we were scheduled. The guys showed up on time and even took their shoes off when they were in the house! Omar went through the project with me room by room and got right to work. The crew patched every hole and crack and were extremely clean and courteous when working in our house. They finished up the following day and I could not have been more pleased! I honestly have never had any home project go so smoothly and Homm made this the easiest and most convenient process. Amazing work!

We could not be happier with the work that Homm has done for us and they can count us among their many satisfied customers. We initially worked with Andres to get an estimate for a total painting overhaul of a brick rambler with vinyl siding addition. Andres was thorough in his walk-around, detailing every change that we wanted so that his crew would not miss anything. Once we had selected the company, he worked with our schedules, pushing up the painting job to accommodate our leave. Since there was going to be a major color change, but we still were acutely aware of costs involved, he worked with us to find a solution (we ended up putting primer and one coat of paint on only, which will still last us some years but saved us over $1000). The crew itself was also a pleasure to work with. They worked on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday to finish up the job while the weather was still good. They had to replace several rotted boards on the back porch steps and talked over each additional cost with us beforehand to make sure everyone was on the same page. They kept their work area clean at the end of the day, which was great. The house looks completely transformed now, and we have this company to thank for a thorough, professional job. We would definitely work with them in the future.

Andres Matheu was the most prompt and professional of the three contractors I interviewed. Although Homm wasn't the cheapest, I went with them because of reputation, professionalism at initial estimate, promptness of delivering a thorough estimate, and a 2-year warranty. Communications were excellent; always via e-mail. Weather was iffy, but house power-washing to prep the surfaces was performed between rains. As it turned out, this was the one part of the job that didn't appear to do much of anything; the mildew on the north facia was still visible after the washing. Two separate days were needed to complete the job of painting and removing and replacing extensive rotting wood with synthetic wood (at my request)--particularly on the vertical corners of the chimney. The workers cleaned up and politely indicated they were through for the day at 5PM after the first day. I noted a few white paint spots on my flagstone steps by my deck and mentioned this in e-mail back to Andres (who asked by e-mail how things were going). This was cleaned up the second day. Prior to painting the front door, the team pleasantly agreed to replace the rubber weatherstripping I had bought at Lowe's but had not yet installed--no extra charge. Andres e-mailed me the invoice a week after the job was completed, but the $900 for carpentry materials we had agreed on somehow turned into $945, though the 25-hour carpentry estimate held the same. Andres said he'd send me the receipts, but this has no bearing on the e-mail agreement we had negotiated. This was an annoyance I wasn't expecting after all the other super-professionalism he and the team exhibited throughout. Andres reduced the bill to the negotiated amount. It was also not clearly stated that the 10% Angie's List discount (if one pays by check) did not apply to carpentry work or materials, only painting--another annoyance that should have been made clear in the estimate.

Job completed as described and on time.

The experience was fantastic. Andres came out the day I called to give me an estimate and it was a very fair price including all materials and labor. It took us about 2 weeks to get on the schedule. Omar was scheduled to be at my house at 8:30am to start work. He pulled up into the drive way at 8:28. He was early. This is the first time I have ever had a contractor be early. It was a great start to the day. I let him in the house, walked through what was to be done and left. He called me about 30 minutes before he was done and when I got home I was very impressed with his job. Much better than I ever could have done. He took his shoes off every time he went in the house as well. Omar was very respectful and polite. I would highly recommend this company and crew to anyone who wanted to get painting done.

Andres contacted us by phone right after we purchased the coupons and he set up an appointment to see the spaces we needed painted and then emailed the proposal promptly. He was extremely professional, communicated quickly and clearly throughout the entire process, and sent two of his painters who also were professional. Andres promptly answered all of our questions, by phone and by email, and was highly flexible with his schedule, accommodating our difficult schedule and time constraints. His proposal and receipt were both detailed and clear. His two painter employees arrived on-time and worked all day to complete the project. They were professional, polite, neat and cleaned up all of the "mess", leaving us with nothing but two beautifully painted bathrooms. The bathrooms look wonderful! We are very pleased with the entire experience and would gladly recommend Homm Certified Painting Systems to others and would gladly use this company again.

Andres quoted the job for us and was very reasonableand was prompt with his responses, we received an email reminding us of our appointment for painting about 2 days prior, the painting crew showed up right on time, preped the walls and finished the job on time, edge work is very clean, did not paint items that were not suppose to be painted, ie outlets, switches. They also painted the trim in a differnet color and it looks great, they even came up with suggestions for future jobs. I will use them again and would highly recommend using Homm

The day before, someone from Homm called us to confirm we had the paint and let us know our painters would arrive in the afternoon, since we had a small job. On April 7, Omar, one of the painters, called around 1:30pm to let us know they would be at the house within a half hour. They came to the house - Omar and one co-worker - and got started, covering the 2 pieces of furniture we left in the room and the floor and laying painter's tape. They also recommended we vacuum the windows and the hvac grate in the room to get the cleanest paint job. They spackled all nail holes and wall dings. They removed the blinds from the windows and the wall plate covers from switches and plugs. They asked us exactly how we wanted the room painted, and checked in along the way whenever they had any questions. They used rollers for the walls and paintbrushes for all the trim. Excellent painting control - they put up minimal painter's tape but still did a first-rate, neat painting job. They put the first coat of wall paint on, took a small break to let it dry, then completed a second coat. They then used a hair dryer to dry the paint along the trim as they went, and did a first coat of trim paint. They continued to use the dryer to dry trim and then paint the second coat. They completed the job at about 6:30pm. They used the utility sink to clean paint brushes. They picked up all of their materials and offered to sweep or vacuum, but we chose to do so ourselves after the paint had 24 hours to dry. We are extremely pleased with the results and definitely would use them again.

They were great. We loved them. They were very hard workers. They were very professional and they did a great job. I would definitely recommend them to the others because they are fairly priced. They do the job quickly and I would probably use them again. They were fine with everything. I would use their services again in the future.

The painters were punctual, friendly, very professional and extremely competent. The job was excellent. My contact, Andres, was a pleasure to work with as well. His estimate was the final price that I paid. He even threw in free, an archway workwork panel that I forgot to indicate I wanted painted when he did the estimate. The painters were very neat, thoroughly cleaning as they went and left the condo spotless, with no paint on anything that they were not supposed to paint. I highly recommend Homm

We purchased an 2 Angies List Big Deals. The process for estimate and scheduling was seamless. Andres was courteous and precise. I too was confused on the 300 square foot number but quickly realized it was not going to affect my bottom line price too much. Omar showed up a bit early which was fine for me. He spent one entire day from 8 am to 6 pm painting a basement room and the upstairs hallway. We are very happy with the results and will recommend this company to all of our friends.

Everything went great. Omar arrived on time and set everything up. He taped the wall and covered furniture and the floor. Then he spent the entire day working, fixing every tiny crack with tape and in general doing a fabulous job prepping the ceiling. Then he painted. It took him a bit longer than anticipated, but everything was still done within 1 day. We were very impressed, since the ceiling is 12' high in places.
