Rep came on time. The rep inspected the system and stated that the fan was broken, the motherboard module needed to be replace, the condenser was dirty and suggested a surge protector. The cost $1700.00. Indeed, he noted that the parts were under warranty but each would cost over $400 to install. However, the company that installed my unit inspected and found that the fan was not broken, and the condenser was not dirty. They replaced the module and the total cost was $145.00

They were very professional.

Professional, courteous and on time. Of several estimators this was only one that wanted to sit down, inside, and discuss his bid. The FH Furr estimate was very high. For reason unknown to me, the estimator did not attempt to video locate the break to aid in his estimate, despite having the camera in his vehicle. Based on his experience, his guess was pretty close to the actual depth of break. Something several others had wrong despite using their electronics.

Plumber spent about 20 minutes trouble shooting my toilet and answering some other questions about plumbing issues while he worked. He narrowed down the probably source..and then left and there was NO CHARGE?? There was no sales pitch like I've received from other plumbers for service contracts ,either. I would say I now have THE plumbers I will call in the future for all my plumbing needs. BTW,the company is FH Furr ,not HH

Although my HH Furr representative was very friendly and seemed to be knowledgeable they performed very little due dalliance on why the system was acting the way it is, however they were ready to quote me a total bill of ~$28,000 for a (2) zoned system that I probably don't need. Upon further review it has been found that: 1. My A/C coil in the system is dirty and clogged causing air to be blocked to the supply lines 2. The current system is severely undersized. The current unit is builder grade and contains components from the original installation back in 1984. My trusted adviser told me that the unit is only 34,000 BTU and he would not want to see anything below 70,000 BTU for this layout with a variable speed fan. 3. One of the exit supplies that leads to the upstairs ( where we have problems with cool air) is not positioned correctly in the system, it is at level with the cooling coil and the other (2) supplies are above it so the lower supply only gets what the others cannot handle. Putting a new unit in is physically smaller & lower and the bad supply line can be altered so it gets the same amount of air volume as the other supplies. This vendor only acknowledged item #3 above and was ready to put in his new two zone system immediately. My trusted adviser said to install a correctly sized system first to fix the problems and then we can work with manual dampers if the air flow is still not good, however my adviser truly believes a correctly sized system will solve the issue due to investigation. HH FUrr sent me a very nice looking PDF quote and it didn't have ANY SPECIFICATIONS for the new vs. the old system. Nor did they send a detailed analysis of their little to none due diligence in resolving my issue. When they asked about why they lost the contract I told them I'd be more than happy to give them these key points but in return I asked for a refund of my initial $150 investment and they declined so now they will get their key points but in a NOT SO GOOD WAY! I am just really annoyed that HH Furr was ready to take my money and give me something I may not need instead of becoming an advocate for my hard earned money. For this reason I would not recommend them (and some others) because they totally lost my trust.
