Family Prestige Garage Doors

Scheduled me very quick, gave me a small window when they would be out and called on their way. Tuned up the garage door very quick and efficient. Guy who came out was very knowledgeable and did not try and sell me on things just did the tune up and gave me a report on the door and what could be done in the future.

We purchased an Angie's List deal for the services after moving into our new home and discovering the garage door was loud and in bad need of service. The tech arrived promptly, was courteous and knowledgeable and performed the services quickly and thoroughly. The garage door runs smoothly now and no longer sounds like an angry bear got caught in the gears. I would definitely call them again for future service,

Upon completion, the Tech called me out to the garage where he went over all the areas he had lubricated and adjusted, but specifically, he pointed to the track that runs from the motor in the center of the ceiling to the garage door wall. He advised he had raised it up about 2and quot; as it wasn't level. The result - the loud squeeking noise I've been listening to for three years was gone and it's been quiet ever since. I was absolutely thrilled with the quality of service Family Prestige Garage Doors provided and I will definiely contact them next year and the years following for inspections/repairs.

I purchased an Amazon Local deal but first checked the reviews on Angies List. Jose is a knowledgeable, creative, efficient and very polite garage door technician and entrepreneur (Jose is the sole owner and his wife serves as his secretarial assistant). We moved into our home 2 years ago and I have been doing the garage door lube and spring adjustment maintenance myself; I was always aware that something was inherently wrong with the door but could not figure out the precise problem so I purchased the tune-up deal. Jose quickly assessed that the previous owner replaced the original 1959 wood door with an insulated metal door (ie thicker door) but did not replace the tracks as he should have. Jose recommended installing new tracks but did not have time to do that (nor did I want to spend that kind of money) so Jose used washers to shim the track to the correct position for the thicker metal door. I am sure he intended to spend 30 minutes tuning-up my door but did not complain when it actually took him 1.5 hours to get it opening smoothly due to the track issue. I highly recommend his services.

I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal and it was great; he was fabulous. He was very personable, affordable and was a nice guy who fixed my problem.

I made the mistake of trying to adjust the tension of the springs on my garage door and the whole door came down bending the track and some of the rollers. I purchase the Angie's List coupon $75 for $150 of work and contacted Family Prestige to schedule an appointment. Jose came out to assess the damage and thought of creative solution to fix the problem and not just suggest we replace the entire system. Jose fixed what was damaged which was a relieve for me as it meant I didn't have to spend a lot of money on replacing the door. He replaced the track, rollers, lifting cables, and conducted a tune up. The garage door is now nice and smooth and is quieter. He even put in a handle so we can pull the door up in case we lose power. Very thoughtful. Excellent work and I will definitely refer others to Family Prestige.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. He was excellent and I've used him again. I paid $200 because I decided to do more than the deal offered.

There was nothing wrong with the service provided, only that it was not the best. The rollers that Family Prestige used were fine rollers and covered in the cost. We used another company for our other garage door and they used industrial strength rollers with a lifetime warranty (included in the price). Again, nothing wrong with Family Prestige, but I feel we received the minimum service and had we paid the full price, we may have gotten a different level of service. Family Prestige is a fine, upstanding and honest company, but not for us.

It went like a dream. He was on time, friendly, helpful and effective. My garage door is very old and very cranky. I would have been happy to have it work at all, but he made it work smoothly and well. Can't ask for more than that.

Our garage door is original, built in 1976 out of very heavy wood. I have been doing all of the maintenance myself, but over the years the action was becoming very labored, extremely noisy, with lots of vibration and shaking. We received a special coupon for a garage door tune-up, so we purchased the service. The workman was very professional and prompt. He actuated the garage door a couple of times, then set to work. He replaced all of the rollers, adjusted the tracks, and made sure all of the many bolts were tightened. He also adjusted the main spring tension, and completed with a thorough lubrication of all components and tracks. When he finished, the door worked better than I could ever have imagined. It was very quiet (all of the screaching and rattling had disappeared), and lifted much easier even without the motor. He did not make any unnecessary repairs, and I could not have been more pleased with the results. I will definitely use this company again for future repairs.

Family Prestige Garage Door is awesome, knowledgeable and professional. They are well trained, skilled and friendly. They took an ok garage door and made it great. They fixed the four issues I had with my garage door and made it work much better and quitter. It used to be when I opened my garage door may dogs came running, now I can sneak up on my dogs to find out what they were doing. They were on time, very clean and solid work, and cleaned up after.

The company responded promptly when I purchased an Angie's list deal. The work was scheduled and performed on time and professionally. He provided other information about the door and it's viability. I would hire him again.

Excellent! After not being to happy with other estimates/customer service from other companies, I called Family Prestige for an estimate. Mr. Jose came to perform the estimate. He was very good and honest. He gave great customer service and a good estimate. After my husband and I decided to go with Jose, we had the doors installed on a Saturday which was great. Jose and his company are excellent. They did a fantastic job. I am very pleased! I highly recommend this company.

The gentleman was very honest and forthcoming about the work which I appreciated. Furthermore, he was very professional and courteous, explained what he was doing, and did a good job. I was very pleased.

I purchased the deal directly through Angie's List and the provider contacted me right away. We set a date and Jose arrived in the middle of the 2-hour time block. He worked for about an hour and a half to complete the job. He was very friendly and professional and my doors run perfectly now. There was no attempt to upsell any products or services. I would highly recommend him and would use him again.

I purchased an Angie's List Deal for $89 for a garage door tune-up. After purchasing the Angie's List deal, Family Prestige was prompt in emailing me to set up an appointment at my convenience. Jose worked around my schedule and he arrived at the exact time of our appointment and was very courteous. I haven't had any problems with my garage door and wanted to perform preventive-maintenance and an examination of my door and equipment. Jose tightened all the nut and bolts, visualization of the tracks, rollers, door alignment, etc, and the garage doors performance. He greased and/or lubricated the tracks which noticeably made a difference of the noise level.

They did an excellent job overall, and I will call them again to tune up the tracks of our other door. He gave me a comparison chart for the cost of the motors, but was honest in his assessment of which motor to buy. He didnt try to just sell me the most expensive. They finished within the time they estimated and went over all the details of the warranties.

Jose was fantastic. He called to let us know when he'd be there and when he arrived he was friendly, professional and efficient. He did a great job with the reconditioning and our garage door has never been so quiet. It is an old door and opener system so he let us know what he suggested us doing in the next year but was not at all pushy about the work. We will certainly be calling Prestige again!

It went pretty well. I have misplaced the receipt, and have forgotten how much it cost. I think it was about $200. I know that at the time of service I had to pay an additional $40 because the doors were larger than anticipated and required extra parts. The doors are very old; the young man prepared an estimate for replacing the doors and the electric openers, but it was much more money than we have to spend at this time. In fact, I received a followup call to see if we were happy with the work and whether we wanted to go ahead with the replacement. If we do come to that point (through necessity or windfall), I would definitely get them to confirm the estimate and then probably get at least one comparable quote. There is a good chance they would turn out to be our vendor. I did not give an A for price because of the extra charge that day; I felt that all the right questions about size should have been asked when the appointment was made. I did not give an A for quality because I am not qualified to judge the quality of what was done. The doors seem to work a bit better, but they are old and are never going to be perfect again. So I gave that a B as well. Very nice, knowledgable and polite young man.
