Family Prestige Garage Doors

Our garage door stopped working due to a spring breaking. My husband couldn't get his car out and needed to because he had work that day. We called them up and they responded quickly. They arrived on time, fixed the spring, and were on their way. They also did something to stop the garage door from making a loud noise whenever it was opened or closed.

It was an amazing and professional experience from "Go" I called them after contacting another garage service that wanted to charge me for using my credit card. I called from the Angie's List ad and described what was wrong with the door, I knew they took Amex because their Angie's list page was very thorough. I called at 8:30 am and they were at my door before 10:00 am and the job was done with a complimentary tune up before 11:00am! They were uber professional,knowledgable and very fast! They explained the bill and the warranty and were on their way! Excellent job!

The ad appeared to be for "basic service" of the garage door opener and the garage door, but it was really just an inspection and an opportunity for them to up-sell you on further services. The garage door had been occasionally re-opening upon the door hitting the floor. The tech informed me there is an adjustment dial on the opener which can fix this issue. The tech 'inspected' my system and recommended I have several services and parts replacements performed. I said "no thanks" and he left.

they gave me a 2 hour window and arrived right at the beginning. they were polite, respectful, and communicated clearly. i didn't feel like they were trying to sell me something i didn't need. the job took about 1 hour, and they made sure i knew exactly what was done, and explained the warranty on the parts. super nice guys!

Great company. What a pleasure working with this team. We had competing offers, some a bit cheaper, others comparable, but upon meeting these guys it was clear they were the best. Then happily, after completing the job, our initial thoughts were confirmed. Very professional. They came and did the job, and walked us through everything they did. I contacted this company to schedule a garage door repairman for Wed. July 8 at 6 p.m. A couple days I called before to confirm, and they confirmed I was on the schedule. The afternoon of July 8 company called to inform me that no one would be coming out because the slot was reserved for emergency appointments. Thoroughly unprofessional. This was clearly the company's mistake, not mine, and they should have stuck by the appointment. Even though this company didn't perform any work, I'm committed to reporting poor customer service on Angie's List.

Luis and his assistant showed up on schedule and got quickly to work. The easier job was a broken spring on the garage door on our outbuilding -- which they did efficiently and well. The harder job was a persistent problem with our main garage door, which had baffled a different repairman and an electrician. Luis quickly eliminated some of the possible causes and got to what was really wrong with it. We think he is a genius. He also tuned up the door so that it works better than it has since we bought the house. Luis was very professional, and it was enjoyable working with him. We will absolutely call Family Prestige if we ever have a garage door problem again. They were truly outstanding.

The motor of our garage door broke and was in need of replacement. They were able to come out quickly and offered a great price. The work they did was exemplary and we went from having a very loud door to a virtually silent one. This was not only due to the replacement of the motor, but in their going beyond what was required and performing additional maintenance on the door to reduce the amount of noise it made. When the spring eventually broke on the door several months later and our cars were trapped, they were able to come out early in the morning and replace the spring. Again, the work they did was very good. I would not hesitate to contact them again for future work on my garage door.

I saved $75 with an Angie's List coupon which was really nice. They answered all of my questions and were very respectful. They came on the day I requested and were fast and efficient. Great, great service. They were actually early arriving to my home - almost unheard of! They quickly and efficiently completed all the work. Both men were very knowledgeable. I highly recommend this company!!

We started with a coupon for $150 of maintenance and new rollers for $75. When the technician showed up, he indicated that the rollers were not the issue, but the spring system was. He recommended a completely new door and new springs. The new door now seals much better than our old door, although not well enough to keep the mice and black snakes from coming in and exploring now and then! The installing technician did great work, was very friendly, and cleaned up fairly well.

We had a fabulous experience. The service providers arrived within the estimated time we were given. They were extremely polite, very professional and got the task done quickly. They asked my wife if they had returned items that had to be moved in our garage to the correct location. Wonderful experience. We almost can't wait for another garage problem to call them again! (Ok, that's a bit of an exaggeration but you get my drift.)

This was a very good experience. This is why I use Angie's List. Family Prestige was responsive to initial questions, they were quick to answer the phone, they were able to get me on the schedule quickly, they showed up exactly when they said they would, the two man team worked quickly, and the lead guy was very professional, knowledgeable and nice. And the price was right.

I am very happy with their service. They arrived between the hours that they stated that they would and fixed my broken garage door. Made a suggestion to replace the rollers, which I decided to do for an extra $100 and showed me a few areas about my garage door that may need to be replaced within the next few years, but did not pressure me to fix or replace anything on that day. I only chose B in regards to the price because I don't have anywhere else to compare it to, but I would call them again if I needed services.

The electrical/motion sensor cord for our garage door opener fell off on a Sunday night and we couldn't get our door to open. I called Family Prestige Monday morning and they were able to get someone out to fix the door on Monday afternoon. He did a great job, got the door fixed and then performed maintenance on both of the doors (I didn't realize how much they shook until he greased them- now they're much quieter and smoother going up and down) and finally got my broken garage door opener to work! I was very pleased with the whole experience - and that I was able to get a same-day appointment.

These guys were great. I called late Friday night for an appointment and they were at my house at noon on Saturday. The owner's son and another worker very attentive, knowledgable and professional. They quickly assessed the problem and had everything fixed within an hour. They pointed out some other things i should consider to improve the garage, but were not pushy about selling other products and services. I would definitely use them again.
