Family Prestige Garage Doors

My Angie's List deal merely provided a 10% discount on work completed ($150 of work for $135). The work was done quickly and well but the cost was almost double the cost for the exact same work done by a competitor several years prior. Finally, the company was responsive when it came to setting a date to do the work but when I subsequently asked for a billing clarification I got no response and ultimately had to resolve the issue by working with Angie's List. Bottom line: this was really no deal.

Really!! The service provider was arrogant, rude, and demeaning. His first question before introducing himself was, who called Angie's List, you need a new door. It was all down hill after that. He did very little to assist in getting the door opened. I got the door opened. He begin to tell us why we need a new door. All he talked about was we need a new door. There was nothing wrong with the door. My husband tried to point out the simplicity of the issue since there is no motor, the problem is in the track, torsion bar, or the door. All this representative did was complain, and tell me about his experience of over 30 years. Finally he left and my husband was able to assess the issue with door and frame. Went to Lowe's picked up 2 door rollers installed them on the door reattached the cables to the torsion bar, and the door operates opens and close like new. Problem solved, not thanks to the representative from Family Prestige Garage Doors. Hope you enjoy the $89. Would never use them again. CUSTOMER service does matter!!!

The service was fine. They did fine. I have used them a couple of times and they have been good. There was an additional cost to the $99 Big Deal because there was something else wrong. It was hundreds of dollars more, but what was needed was not something that was part of the commercial package. They did that, but these are the things that would have not been covered by the tune-up packages.

I am very pleased with the service I received from Family Prestige Garage Doors. The phone calls I received from the representative indicating he was coming and then that he had arrived were professional and he showed up on time. He was very pleasant and helpful. My garage door is running smoothly now and is a lot more quiet. I recommend this company.

Great experience! Got an immediate response, work was scheduled on the same day I contacted them. Technician was very knowdlegable. He explained what needed to be done and why and made remcomendations to better maintained the garage door in working order. Very happy with the work!

First of all the company came out within 48 hours of my initial contact. They were on-time and completed the job within 30 minutes. The door is working perfectly again thanks to Family Prestige Garage Doors. AND they provided a one year warranty on the parts. That's a company I will call back if needed in the future.

I purchased a big deal from them to come and diagnose the problem. Luckily, I didn't need a new garage door opener, just a new remote. Jose re-programmed my outside keypad and I purchased a new remote from him which he also programmed for my opener. I was concerned I would need a new garage door opener, since it is 20 years old, but all that was needed was an new remote. Jose is always very honest with the assessments he provides for the problem at hand. I highly recommend Family Prestige Garage Doors. I contacted them a few years back to provide a tune-up on my garage door opener/rollers and have been a loyal customer since. They have also replaced my garage door and did a fantastic job with that as well.

The Company sent out Luis both times who was very friendly and professional without being high pressure. I immediately liked him and was going to sign a contract. However, when the door changed from steel to wood, the door (including painting) and the opener were priced at $2,470 before tax so I thought I should get another estimate. I went to another highly rated company. I was shocked that their estimate came out more that $600 lower. Needless to say I selected the competitor.

From start to finish the process was completely painless. Everyone was very professional and completely the job quickly and accurately.

I bought Angie's deal for repairs on Sunday and requested work for the next day because it was my day off. They called me first thing in the morning and was able to fit me in for my requested time. Technician was prompt, pleasant and very knowledgeable. I remembered that my door keypad was also broken and he replaced it at a reasonable price. I am very pleased with the service

Family Prestige was very responsive when I purchased the Big Deal for the installation of a garage door. I called before I bought, to ask if I could get a second door at the same price. The answer was yes and I purchased the doors. They sent out a technician to take measurements within a day of purchase. On the day of installation, the technician arrived and explained everything he was going to do and gave me a rough estimate how long it would take. The installation was flawless and I'm very satisfied with the job they did. Not only did I get the new doors with windows, they replaced all the door hardware, to include new steel frames for each door! The technician also adjusted my garage door openers! As I said earlier, I am very pleased with the job they did!!

Everything went very smoothly, from the initial estimate provided by the owner Jose Sandoval, through the garage door ordering, and installation processes. I was impressed by the professionalism of the company, and especially of the technician, who really took his time and did a first class installation job. He went over everything in detail with me concerning the operations and maintenance of the door. It's only been a week with the new garage door, but so far it has operated flawlessly, seems very sturdy, and is super quiet compared to the heavy wooden / fiberboard door it replaced.

I was quite satisfied. I haven't seen any problems since they've worked on it. I didn't have to pay anything over the big deal price. They could have given me more information about how to maintain the garage door.

The company told me that they would have a technician in between 8:00 a.m.and 10:00 a.m. The technician arrived on the dot at 8:00 a.m. and he was done with the repair by 9:30 a.m. He was very courteous and he went thru everything that was done to get the door operational.

Great experience. Was able to come within a couple hours and repair right away.

The original visit was for service; the wheels running in the channels seemingly only needed replacement. But the serviceman noted that the springs were designed for a single-wide door and that they were inappropriate for our 400 pound double wide door, and in fact dangerous. In fact one had broken a few years back and tore a hole in the garage ceiling (and luckily not a car or a person). He urged immediate replacement - to which I agreed - and proceeded to replace the wheels as an interim measure (parts and labor included in the total package). When he had me come out to test the replacement, he refused to stand near the door or its springs. That got my attention. That was on a Thursday. Next Tuesday two servicemen returned with a new spring and had it installed within 45 min. As one said, "it goes fast when you are experts." True that. The new system is nearly silent, in contrast to the grinding that old one made. We feel safe and are totally satisfied. I would not hesitate to recommend Family Prestige to anyone.

They did a great job, start to finish. Their communication was professional and friendly. They came promptly to estimate the job and got it to me almost immediately. I had several questions to clarify the contract, and I received good responses quickly. The installers did a most professional job of removing and replacing the old door, installing all needed hardware, and setting up the new opener. Everything was done to code, and we are very happy with our new door.
