The company did an excellent job. The technician was right on time and did a great job.

Isaias spent most of the day doing a terrific job of installing the doors and the opener. The difference in sound between the old clunky doors and this system is dramatic. Isaias really extended himself to be sure I understood the new system and answered all my questions thoroughtly.

ALAN ARRIVED ON TIME, DIAGNOSED THE PROBLEM QUICKLY AND REPLACED THE KEYPAD PROMPTLY

The tech showed me that the cables were worn and I agreed to have them replaced for $100. Then he insisted that I add safety cables before he could work on the door, and charged another $100. I thought at the time this was too much, but I didn't have the time to send him away with the door undone. I have just had a different company do a door on another house and I realize how much I was overcharged. They did safety cables of a much better quality for $30. The Family tech only spent a few minutes doing the safety cables as he already had the door propped to replace the lift cables. When I said an extra $100 was too much, he said he had to drive a long way and the company had to make money on the deal, so he obviously planned to make way more than the advertised $89. His work was very poor. The door is harder to lift after his work, the cables are low quality, and a repair he made to the support piece was jagged and now makes more noise than ever. This was an obvious bait and switch and way too high a charge for poor quality work. I contacted the company and they said I would have to pay for another visit to get things corrected. Do not use this company.

great! Very professional. Informed us of potential issues without trying to upsell. Informed us of some potential issues but clearly stated that we should wait on the those repairs. They clearly explained what to look for to catch the problem before it became a failure.

They were very good. For two of them, it was $750. They didn't charge me anything else.

It went fine. They were prompt when we agreed he comes out. I was the one that delayed. I still have some things that i purchased that they have not utilized. I ended up paying some more money because he said somethings was wrong with the roller. He replaced it. I didn't expect to pay more, or for any extra work to come up. I would probably not use them again because of surprise bills.

I called on a weekend (when some repair businesses are closed), and Luis arrived within an hour. He replaced the broken spring, as well as the other spring which was on its last legs. He was very courteous and professional, and the whole experience was excellent.

I initially had Family Prestige Garage Doors out just for a tune up because my door had started to make loud squeaking noises. My service tech Luis was great as he suggested the spring roller bar was probably bent and it was rubbing up against the springs each time the door went up and down. So I took his advice and replaced the bar and it turns out Luis was correct, the old bar was really bent. After replacement the door was whisper quiet, only hear now the motor of the opener!

Family Prestige's extended hours, until 6pm, made it easy to contact them after I got home from work. They arranged a service visit for the next day - extremely responsive. The actual arrival was slightly late -- but that is always to be expected with multiple service calls in a day; and the responsiveness far outweighed that minor delay: I would much prefer to wait a few extra minutes on the next day, rather than wait zero on some future day. The serviceman diagnosed the problem and fixed it almost immediately. He then consulted with me about advisable maintenance work, which I agreed to. That was all done on the spot, no need for a second visit, and I am extremely satisfied with the condition my garage doors are now in.

My garage door is now operating by remote however the outside keypad was not programmed by the technician.

The springs broke on our garage door, leaving the door slammed shut with our cars inside. We called Family Prestige (on a Sunday) and they picked up right away and had someone out here in less than an hour. We were prepared for the worst, but they were punctual, professional, and we could not be happier with the work they did. The price was also way less than we had mentally prepared for, which is always a great feeling. We recommend them for anyone looking for quality service from a trustworthy business.

Excellent. Came out almost immediately after my call. Did quick but through check, advised if the solution and price, did the work well and quickly for a very reasonable price. Excellent in all regards.

They showed up on time. Installed the opener quickly and performed routine maintenance on the door. Only negative I have is they did not take the old opener with them.

"Bait & Switch" Company - Stay far away from Family Prestige and owner Jose Sandavol. I experienced extreme price gouging with them and the owner was rude and very unprofessional. I called their business and spoke with Diana and immediately asked for an installation of a Liftmaster 8500. She spoke with the owner Jose and came back with a price of $485 total or $500 to add a keypad. I confirmed everything (several times) that came with the Liftmaster 8500 for that price of $500. I was told I would get two keypads but only needed one because one of our cars (2015 Mercedes) doesn't need a remote. Well, lo and behold, the technician arrives and he doesn't have the Liftmaster 8500 on the truck, he only has the 8355 and the 8500 will be $700. I asked why the price had gone up (probably due to the two Mercedes sitting in the yard) and was told he had to call the owner. So supposedly, after this call with the owner, he says the 8500 is $700. Well unluckily for them, I recorded the entire telephone call of me asking Diana for the 8500 and Diana confirming the 8500. I then spoke with the owner, Jose Sandoval, who informed me "there's nothing we can do. That's the price and if you want it, that's what you'll have to pay. We don't have a contract and we can quote anything we like. You spoke with Diana, she's just a worker. You didn't speak with me" Wow.

The Angie's List information indicated that Family Prestige would be calling us to arrange installation. After a week went by with no attempt to contact us, we contacted them. From there on, their performance was great. We made an appointment, they honored it. The installation was great.

The installer was professional, worked long and hard. In fact, he spent all day in sweltering heat to ensure the doors ran smoothlySeveral months out now and there are no problems. Door works as it should.

Contractor did not respond to my reply about available dates. I finally called them as the date approached and was told they "hadn't checked their e-mails." We were quoted about $1,000.00 worth of "additional work" that needed to be done and were told our garage was too cluttered to do the tune-up. If they had told us that ahead of time, we could have been prepared.

Luis arrived right on time and explained the process and pricing. Prompt, profesional and proficient...would definitely use again.
