Family Prestige Garage Doors

I wanted someone to come on the day I called as it was my day off, otherwise, I would have had to schedule it in another week during my next day off. They did their best to accommodate my schedule and was able to fix it that same day. Luis made sure everything was working the way it should before he left. He was there to fix the keypad and yet when he noticed that the cables for the door were a bit loose, he adjusted and secured them. This is what I call work that was above and beyond what needed to be done and a very rare occurrence in this day and age. An excellent company that I definitely would use again without hesitation.

The technician arrived on time and gave me a courtesy call to say he was on his way He said that I should have both springs replaced even though only one was broken I realized that what he was saying made sense since both springs were the same age and the other one would most likely break soon All of the part were on his truck so the repair was done very quickly The technician was very friendly and pleasant. All in all, a great service visit Fast forward a month, the day of a snow storm, the door wouldn't open again I called the company and they responded immediately despite the snow The technician was here within 2 hours of the call. He came in from home just to fix my door! No charge for the second repair Not sure if it was problem from the first repair or a new problem but it really didn't martter, there was no issue about any charge Just a polite request to give the company a good review which you can see I am doing This is the third time I have used Family Prestige Garage and have always been satisfied The company is very smart in that they put a sticker right beside my door opener with their phone number Couldn't be any easier!

Great, replaced all wheels and gave instructions for preventitve maintenance

They never showed up to do the work. I called the office and asked to speak to a manager or owner to find out what they were going to do to make this situation right and no one called me back. They are unreponsive and unprofessional to Angielist members. Do not hire this company!

All went well. The rep showed up on time, did an assessment and I found out I didn't need any repairs my garage. It was in good shape. He told me I had a good door! He did change the rollers because that was part of the deal. Although he said they didn't need to be changed,he felt bad about me having paid for it already. He gave me some good advice and was gone in an hour. I would definitely hire again.

It was good. He did a good job. I didn't pay more than the deal price. One person came out to complete the service. He did the work in an hour and a half. He left the area clean. He informed me on how to keep the oil maintained. He did what he was supposed to do and he gave me good advice on how to keep my garage door functioning well.

The service was excellent. Alan arrived ahead of scheduled, explained the work that needed to be done and did it quickly and efficiently. He was very professional and explained details to me and what I could do to better maintain the garage door. A very good experience and I am grateful and satisfied.

Very well. I asked them to price a garage door for me and they told me to look at the web site, which was the only thing that wasn't encouraging.

Staff was courteous and efficient. They did a very good job. They also replaced a few things like springs, etc. that were worn (upsell -- but it was needed). Only downside was that the company was not very responsive on the initial purchase through Angie's list. It took quite a long time for them to contact me back after ordering, and I was the one that had to call/email multiple times in order to get a time/date scheduled. Once it was scheduled, though, everything went smoothly and I'm pleased with the new garage door opener.

It took one whole day to install the framing, since it was a complicated job involving a variety of angles and levels. When we had an issue with the door lock after installation, Luis came by a couple of hours later to fix it! We can highly recommend this company: very professional, very responsive, very good carpentry work, very pleasant people (Luis), excellent quality and price.

Mr Alan Tilly handled the job exceptionally. For an extra, he provided guidance in taking care of my garage door for future issues.

They showed up when they said they would. They were very professional and handled the job quickly. After replacing the spring, they noticed that the door needed some adjustment and took care of that too. Overall, I was very happy with them, which makes me glad I found them on Angie's list.

Several highly rated companies on Angie's List advertise that they work on commercial doors, but when I called they changed their story and said they didn't have a technician qualified to come out. Family Prestige does, and they were able to schedule an appointment with me the next day. Ultimately I was able to fix my problem on my own after some advice from a helpful neighbor, but I appreciate that Family Prestige delivers what it advertises, and I found them easy to work with even though I didn't end up needing to use them. I will certainly call them first if I ever encounter a problem I can't solve on my own. For the record, they quoted me $150 for the service check which is more expensive than what they charge for residential models, but they agreed to put this towards the cost of whatever repairs I needed, which I thought was fair.

The representative, Alan, was punctual and polite, but immediately told me that it wasn't worth doing a tune-up on a garage door that he thought needed a complete replacement, a job that would cost easily 10 times more. He did no work. I contacted the company and requested a refund of the $89 tune-up fee while I considered whether or not to replace the door. No response. A year later, with my garage door still working, I again requested a refund. No refund; no response. It's hard not to view this ad a bait and switch routine.

They contacted me via email within hours of my purchase and offered to come about 3 days later. When I mentioned that timing wouldn't work, I managed to get a guy out the day after my purchase. The technician, Luis G., arrived at the front edge of the two hour window -- rare because I'm off the beaten path. He went to work immediately and made my 30+ year old as silent as new by tightening and lubircating every screw, bolt, etc. on the entire door system. He did mention that based on the condition of my springs and motor, replacement would likely be needed in the not too distant future, but didn't push to make the sale that day. Total pro effort. Will definitely call them when I need more work done!

During the first week, one of the rollers popped out of the channel. We had to call them to get it fixed. Garage door still makes sound when its closed, tuneup didn't seem to solve the problem.

The serviceman was great and very professional and knew what he was doing. Door is now running smoothly and closing as it should. It took less than an hour. Great work and thank you to Family Prestige Garage Doors!

it went well. Only slight issue is that the belts for the garage door were not tightened as well as they could have been. That being said, they replaced the ball-bearing wheels, greased the tracks and generally checked for other issues. I was pleased with the service. Just know that the deal is for 1 garage door. I had to go up to Angie's list to have a second door added. The ad doesn't explicitly note that it only covers 1 door.

Showed up as scheduled and replaced the rollers. Did recommend that I have my doors 'renovated' with new springs, cables and pulleys as the door was 16 years old.

Went well. Came quickly and did work with us not at home and we paid via credit card over the phone. They did warn that the motors may need replacing soon and a few weeks later we called them back to replace one of the motors.
