They did a great job! This was the first time I had used them, and I would use them again in the future as well as recommend them to others. The two guys that came out were professional and finished the work in about 6-7 hours. They sanded the floor down and put two coats on. It looks very nice.

They addressed all my concerns and fixed them and took 300.00 off my bill. Happy with the outcome. ***Update as of 10/30/2014 after having a professional carpet cleaning service come to clean our carpets I was told what I suspected. 2 stains appeared in my living room carpet right next to the hardwoods and on one stair near the bannisters. The carpet cleaning company said it would not come out due to the fact it appeared to be stain that they tried to get out with some type of solvent, this was after the first crew came and did such a bad job. So not only do I have to replace my carpet sooner than expected I still have to get someone into address the stains they left on various areas of the molding and walls. They took off $300.00 but tthat only covered the cast of the kitchen molding the got wrong. Will not use them again. Sadly.

Prompt, friendly, service from Joey. Workers did an excellent job, finished in 1 day. When I called to note that they missed refinishing the stairs, they sent someone right out to take care of it.

Even though it took longer then expected. They where very good with working around my schedule and putting in the floors to the best of their abilities. Floors look good and I would recommend folks to work with Joey.

I have a parquet floor with some patched areas in need of sanding and refinishing. Dominion came to take a look to provide and estimate, but later told me their installer refused to do the work because of the uneven flooring and there being some paint on the older flooring. When I originally contacted Dominion, I sent pictures which clearly showed the paint and the patching and mentioned that the floor was very old. There shouldn't have been any surprises. If your installer refuses to do work in older houses where these issues are common, please say so on your listing.

We called several days before our return to find out if all we going OK, He did not return our calls that day. We called again the next day and he said that they were a little behind but that the house would be ready for our return. We called again the day befor our return and they were just finishing that day. We decided to spend one more day in a hotel to avoid the fumes. When we did return the house the small was very strong and one room still had the furniture out of it. We also noticed damage to the walls and doors and damage to our brand new furniture. There we also rough spots on the floors and the boards that we had agreed would be replaced, were not. We fought with Dominion carpet for the next 2 weeks to get them to fix the damage and put another coat of polyurethane on the floor. We had to again go to a hotel for 2 nights while they worked on the floors. In the end it all got fixed, but it was not worth all the pain they put us through.

Can't say enough about the customer service I received from Dominion Carpet! From the start when Joey came out to give me an estimate to the finish when Alexander came out to the house to apply another coat of polyurethane because I wanted a little more shine - "we want you to be happy" was what I heard from everyone. I am happy! So happy that I will be calling DC back to install carpet in two more bedrooms when we are finished with our current construction projects. Courteous and professional company that I highly recommend.

Joey, Dominion's estimator, came out exactly when scheduled and provided a bid on the spot. My wife and I chose a time when we would be out of town, so as to be out of the way. Joey told us what to do to prepare for the workmen (cleaning knick-knacks and electronics off the furniture that needed moving. On the day they started Dominion called with one question--after that, they did their work without further ado. When we returned the rugs and furniture were back in place. The floors look fabulous.

We had to replace our basement carpet unexpectedly due to a flood. We had an estimate from one company and were waiting for them to schedule a date to do the work. After waiting a few days, we learned they had gone on vacation without letting us know. We were in a hurry to have the work done so we called Dominion Carpet and left a message explaining the situation. Joey called back right away and was able to come out to give us an estimate the same day. We told him what we needed and he reassured us it would be no problem. He had carpet samples with him and provided an estimate on the spot. When I told him we needed the work done as soon as possible, he said he could have his guys back out in two hours and the job would be finished that night. I was hesitant as I couldn't imagine they'd be able to get it done the same day. But that afternoon the guys were at my door. And four hours later, our basement was finished. Everything turned out perfectly and we couldn't be more pleased. Joey understood what we wanted and more importantly the urgency of the project. We would definitely use Dominion Carpet again in the future.

They came promptly and refinished the floor and did an OK job.

The guy wrote the quote right here. I didn't have to wait for him to submit the quote through email. I'm no a techy kind of person so that I liked. The paper quote was very handy. He was very personable and answered and gave me all the information that I can possibly need to know without me asking questions.

We are very impressed with our floors --- frequently get compliments on them. We also requested/paid for some small amount of sideboard work that isn't quite as high quality as the refinished floors --- some has separated a year later.

We scheduled a free home estimate to come look at our wood laminate floors that had been buckling (after being installed by the previous owner). The initial scheduling was easy. We then had a change in schedule due to work and called back to re-schedule. The home officer person said they would have the estimator, Joey, call us to reschedule the time. Joey never called and he just ended up coming at the originally agreed upon time and date. Joey too one look at our floor and said there was nothing he could do - the whole thing needed to be replaced. He immediately went into taking measurements and talking about all the "great" deals he could get us on real wood flooring. He left that Friday afternoon, promising to send us the estimate by Monday morning. It have been 1 week and we still have not received the estimate. We will not be using Dominion Carpets.

We worked with Joey during the pre-sale experience. He was very helpful, making recommendations about what would really be best for our house, even though other options might have entailed us spending more money. He even went above and beyond and recommended some contractors for other jobs we had. Once we made our decision (after getting estimates from three companies), we were able to get on the schedule right away. The crew showed up promptly, behaved professionally, and made our floors look GREAT. I can't believe what a difference it made. I had a couple of concerns during the process, and Joey worked with me to make sure that I got exactly what I wanted. (Specifically, they tested the stain for me before making me commit to a color.) We did have one miscommunication about the schedule for the work, but when I talked to Joey about being kept waiting, he compensated me for my time by taking some money off the cost of the project, which I appreciated. I would definitely recommend this company for hardwood refinishing, and I'll be getting a quote from them when I'm ready to move on to our next flooring project!

Floors look great! Shiny and gorgeous.

Although the workers were very sloppy; luckily I stayed home for the two days to provide some guidance and to avoid property damage. The floor looks great, disappointed with the corners not done to my satisfaction; also the plastic dust protection sheeting was not anchored down properly resulting in a complete dusty mess. Overall, I am happy that the carpeting is a thing of the past.

I'll make the history short, my first contractor applied stain to hardwood floors with a paint brush roller, the floors where unsatisfactory to say the least! In comes Joey Galzone and Dominion Carpet to the rescue! Not only did Joey put my wife and I at eases that he could and would fix my floors to our satisfaction. Needless to say we were relieved by the end of the consultation. I had the following services provided: sand floors, install new flooring in specific areas of the kitchen, remove & install new pickets, move furniture, stain and seal floors. I later asked him to install some base boards and Joey again was the miracle worker by making it happen. The timeline for this project was a bit longer than expected but that is to no fault do the company, the floors were just that bad that it took longer than expected in certain facets. The entire project took about 7-8 days but it has been worth it. When I remodel my master bath and basement I'm calling Joey and Dominion!

Very prompt return of phone calls regarding estimate and answering questions. Estimate was very reasonable without any hidden costs. Additional charge for moving furniture was reasonable and saved a huge amount of hassle for us. Service performed while we were out of the house on vacation. Only problem was we returned Sunday night from vacation and most of furniture was not put back due to extra time needed for floors to dry completely. Call to company upon return was promptly answered and they offered to pay for night in hotel or reduce total charge by equivalent amount. Customer satisfaction was always #1 priority! Floors look beautiful and we wouldn't hesitate to use Dominion Carpets again--we have already recommended them to several friends.

We hired this company after getting 5 other estimates. They were by far the most reasonable around. They are amazing. First and foremost, the sales manager, Joey Garzon is the definition of excellent customer service. He is responsive day or night just by texting him. He takes care of everything. The measurements were spot on, the carpet he recommended was amazing. My dogs love to pee on carpet. The matting he recommended is so strong and non absorbent that when they do pee, it does not penetrate through. We just shampoo it up. No stains, no smell. We also had our hardwood floor refinished. We chose the wrong option at first and when we saw the finished product, we knew we have chosen wrong. Joey said, no worries, we want you to be happy. So we rescheduled again and his team came out and redid the job and our floor looks amazing. At no additional cost. The folks who do the work are great. They are polite, trustworthy, and leave your house as clean as you gave it to them. What more can I say. Call Dominion, ask for Joey and be prepared to be a happy customer.

I had engineered hardwood floors installed in my condominium. The installers were prompt, hard working, meticulous, and considerate of my furniture while working. The floors look amazing! I would highly recommend Dominion Carpet for your hardwood floor and carpet needs.

Joey was such a pleasure to do business with. His estimate was quick and accurate. His crew even came earlier than expected to begin the job. The work itself was done beautifully. The price also included moving the furniture and putting it back.

It was overall a very good experience with Dominion Carpet (DC). I called DC for an appointment on 3/24/14, Joey came out the next day to give me an estimate. The estimate was performed quickly and accurately, roughly the same square footage measured as other vendors, however this estimate was the lowest of the bunch. What sealed the deal was when I asked Joey how soon they could install the flooring, he made a call on the spot, and told me next morning 9am would work (they had extra surplus on hand of engineered hardwood I selected); I had some flexibility at work the next day, so I agreed. The crew showed up the next day on time and went right to work, using my condo balcony as the work area to place tools and debris. Given there is limited space in my condo, they had to do a half room at a time approach (all furniture moved to one side of room while carpet gets torn out and hardwood gets placed on the other), however this seemed to be no problem, and they were careful with the furniture, especially when moving it back onto the newly installed hardwood side. The only hiccup occurred when they started installing the shoe molding, as I noticed it was nowhere near the color of the hardwood, as had been agreed upon. I mentioned it to one of the workers (yes it helped that I spoke spanish), and he quickly called the job manager about the issue; in the meantime they continued to install the rest of the flooring. The job manager showed up about an hour or so later with the right stain for the molding, and all was well. After they were finished they made sure to move all the furniture back in place, and took all the old carpet and padding/scraps with them. Overall the experience was very satisfying, and I feel like the work crew did their job efficiently without compromising quality. My new floors look great! I plan on calling Joey and the DC team to install tile in my kitchen in the near future.
