This company was a pleasure to work with from start to finish. Joey Garzon, the sales manager, was very helpful. and worked hard to find exactly the product wanted. The price of the project was within my expectations. The wood arrived at our home just when Joey said it would. The installers were great guys. They arrived on time each day and were pleasant, polite and very hardworking. They had to move many large pieces of furniture, including two pianos,( one a very heavy grand piano), a china closet and a triple dresser. All were handled carefully, and nothing was damaged during the installation. The project took three days and was finished when promised. The floors are beautiful. I have no hesitation recommending this company to anyone who wants to have hardwood floors installed in their home.

I contacted. Dominion Carpet in early May after reading the great reviews of the company. Wow, from my initial call to schedule an estimate to the final installation check, the company is nothing short than stellar! I met with Joey and he provided ideas/options, matched hardwood pricing to Pergo and just as importantly, his enthusiasm, customer response, and professionalism were all wonderful. We have a small kitchen and Joey was able to schedule our hardwood floor installation within 2 weeks. The 2 man crew arrived on time, were professional, went right to work, and did a beautiful job. Joey followed up the next day to check the installation and also answer a few questions. I can't say enough great things about Joey and this company. I've referred DC to several neighbors; one neighbor (a fellow Angie's List member) had a few hardwood floors recently refinished by DC and the floors look brand new. Use this company, you won't be disappointed!

I really liked them. They were very concerned about making sure that I was happy with the job. They did very good work and I think their price was good.

The experience was pretty good. Their service was excellent.

The installers arrived on schedule and quickly went to work. The job was completed in a reasonable amount of time. The carpet looks great! There must have been some confusion regarding the pad as there was to be upgraded pad but a standard pad was used. I was not home at the time and my wife was unaware that the pad was to be upgraded. The home is a rental property and I anticipate that the carpet will be replaced again so I guess its not such a big deal. Dominion has great prices and great service!

Joey was extremly responsive. I was refered to him by a co-worked after we had a flood on our main floor. They had a great price. Did and excellent job. We able to do the work right away. It was a great experience all around.

Dominion Carpet was very responsive and quick in both the estimate and refinishing. The work was done quickly, which I appreciated as I had to stack my living room and dining room furniture in my bedrooms. I thankfully only had to deal with that for two nights. I added a third coat of polyurethane as I have a dog and it wasn't much more cost to add it. During the process, one of the workers accidentally tracked polyurethane onto my kitchen floor. Dominion Carpet came back and cleaned the floor as best they could. There is still residue, but it's largely not noticeable. Because of the inconvenience, they reduced the price of the service to cover the cost of the 3rd coat of polyurethane. I am very pleased with their service. My floors look great!

They were great and we had some quality concerns and they were very responsive, they made everything the way I wanted it. We were happy. The price was good. We had purchased a big deal, but we had them do more than was on the big deal.

I sent a request for an estimate to Dominion Carpet by email and heard back quickly from Sam. We set up an appointment and he was right on time and we went over the choices of hardwood floors and what would work best for us. He sent me a written estimate by email and it was a fair price for was we wanted done. I paid half the amount due and shortly after the flooring was delivered to our home exactly when promised. The next week the crew showed up right on time and begin working non stop. They were at our home for 12 hours and were very professional and the floors turned out beautiful. The even replaced the old plywood with new so we no longer have creaky floors. Sam called within a couple days to come by and check out the floors and see that we were completely satisfied. Only then did we pay the remainder of the balance due. We were very pleased with Dominion Carpet and Sam was wonderful to do business with, We have already recommended them to friends needing new flooring..

Joey Garzon, the Sales Manager was referred to us by a trusted neighbor. He was incredibly responsive and contacted us even before we had a chance to call . Professional, enthusiastic, pleasant and scheduled our work immediately. Very good price. The two employees who did our work over 4 days were also extremely professional and pleasant and always were on time. It was a challenging job in that they were restoring the floors in our major living space, so we had no access to kitchen, powder room, tv and had no access to our upstairs . We also have 2 cats which we were concerned about and which they were very carefull about. Overall, it was an A Plus. Furniture was placed back exactly as it was. They took photos to ensure that everything was the way it was. The floors look amazing. We couldn't be more pleased by thisCompany. A pleasure to deal with. We also asked the two employees upon completion of work if we could give them a tip for a job well done. They refused--how refreshing.

Work done on time with mininimal amount of disruption and no mess left over.

Joey Garzon came out to do an estimate and beat my best price by $1000. He also upgraded the pad throughout the house at no additional cost weeks after the contract was signed. Work was completed as scheduled. We are very pleased with the results. He has sent his guys back several times to fix areas from the refinish that weren't quite right. I am waiting for one last piece of carpet trim to be replaced. Worker came out to replace it but did not have enough material.

They did a fantastic job on our hardwood. They did it in record time. It was just like we wanted it, the type of wood we wanted and everything. A staff came here to make sure that everything was done in the right condition.

Everything went great! Let's start with the hard wood floors. I did purchase the Big Deal for these, after all. My focus was the foyer because of fading and damage caused by the sun and a baby gate at the base of my stairs. The living and dining room subsequently needed attention. The new finish needed to match the rest of the house (especially those floors that they touch). IT DID!!! The work was done expertly and at my convenience. Joey Garzon, MY Sales Manager, took care of every detail. The work was done with minimal mess and the inconvenience was insignificant. And, the crew were flexible, as they had to work around my house painters. We were also in the process of replacing our living room carpet having received a quote and installation date from Home Depot when Joey quoted a much better price for a nicer carpet and better pad. How could we resist? The carpet was installed just after the floors were completed. It's beautiful!!! Just like the crew that refinished my floor, the crew that installed the carpet was thorough. The work was well done and the work site was clean at completion. It feels like I live in a new house! Many thanks to Joey Garzon and his Team for doing such awesome work!!!!

Felt the estimate was way oo low, not realistic, just trying to win the job, then would the price increase as the job progressed? Made me uneasy about the quality of the finished project.

In addition to the installation of hardwood floor for 3 customers in a condo, Dominion also installed a beautiful ceramic tile in the foyer. The tile was installed exactly to measurement and matched beautifully with the floors. It complemented the decor and the color of the floors. Excellent work!

Sam Lahlou and Dominion Carpet set the bar for professional, cost-competitive and quality flooring contractors. From our first request for a bid they were responsive, respectful and accommodating. My husband is a contract professional and requested a number of detailed modifications to the proposal- all of which Sam either included or explained why they were not necessary. The work proceeded on time exactly as was described to us, the workmen were extremely professional, friendly and hard working and the resulting product- our new floor- is stunning! I had a number of questions for Sam throughout the process and he was always available and very clearly interested in our satisfaction. He said to me on three different occasions, "We will do whatever it takes for you to be satisfied". We are not only satisfied, we plan to use Dominion as our exclusive flooring contractor for all our future flooring needs. The price was better than the two other contract bids we requested and the results superior to that of the "exclusive" hardwood flooring company which installed the original kitchen floor 15 years ago. Well done Sam Lahlou and Dominion Carpet!

Joey (Salesman) was great - personal and professional -and we arranged to have it done Thursday, Friday and Saturday. He strongly recommended that we do the entire living room and kitchen, even though I only wanted to do the kitchen and the hallways. They came and moved all the furniture, sanded the floor, and put the first coat down. The second day they came to put the 2nd coat down, but didn't tell me when they were leaving or when they were coming on Saturday. I assumed it was between 10 and 11, since that was the arrival time for the first two days. They were very late and I had to call Joey the salesman and the owner to see when/if they were coming. After Sam's intervention, they finally arrived late and put the third coat on. There were a few areas of uneven sanding (around the edges) and a few areas of bubbles in the coating, so they had to come back, re-sand by hand, and recoat those areas. The owner, to his credit, offered to come back again and again until I loved the job but, at that point, I had enough. The area right by the kitchen door still looks like the sander came within an inch of the door. The worker tried to tell me that the wood was a different color, but I know it didn't look that way before he started. It was a lot cheaper than the $4K estimate I received. Update! Sam and Joey contacted me and are very upset that I wasn't a satisfied customer. They came over and agreed that the area of concern didn't turn out the way it should have and are really trying to make it right. They are coming over Friday to redo that area and offered a gift certificate for my trouble - and a refund if I don't love the job afterwards. This is a local merchant that I hired precisely because I want to support my neighborhood businesses. I am truly impressed with their professionalism and pride in their craft. I would hire them again. Update! Never followed up on the promised gift certificate! Too bad - all the personality in the world doesn't make up for broken promises!

Dominion Carpet came to our house based on our availability. They responded to our calls and concerns. They gave us options: unfinished, pre-finished, or fabricated woods, and they explained the differences. We wanted to assure American made wood and American manufacturers, and they honored our request. Which is why i have recommended them several times. Yes, there was a glitch. We had selected a wood and a finish for our lower level floor. When the wood arrived at Dominion, they noted it was not an American product. That evening, there was a knock at my door, and a very, very apologetic employee, informing me that the selection board had incorrectly included this sample. She offered additional choices, and although the job was delayed, we had the materials we wanted. Dominion could have installed the other product (same price) and I may never have noticed the difference. Yet, they did the right thing, and they meet their commitments. And that is a difference I noticed!

Sam arrived on a Saturday to give us an estimate on refinishing our hardwood floors. Sam arrived on time and was very polite and professional. After we accepted the estimate, he set up a time for the floor team to arrive. The team arrived on time and over a three day period sanded the floors, applied a coat of stain, and applied two coats of polyuerothene. Floors looked great. The fllors looked so good, we asked Sam to come back and install a new hardwood floor to an adjacent room that had old carpet. After receiving a good estiamte for the work, Sam's team came back out and installed the new floor and exactly matched the color of the new floor with the old floor. After the floors were complete and furniture moved back into place, Sam sent his team back out to fix a footprint in the clear coat created by one of my tennagers. Great service, great customer service, a company I will use for all our flooring needs.

The work was done professionally and during the job they cheerfully answered all of our questions. The furniture was handled very carefully during the initial moving and when it was moved back. The kitchen floors were in bad shape with major scuff marks, scratches and stains. The other two rooms had some stains and uneven fading due to sunlight. When the job was complete all the problems were fixed to our satisfaction. The only two things we think could be improved are that they did not place a drop cloth in our foyer resulting in dirt tracks and some polyurethane residue (which came off after applying some mineral oil); secondly, they did not place plastic covers across the doorways to reduce the dust flow to the rooms elsewhere in the house. We are very happy with the results and overall give an A rating.

It went excellent. I have hired them again to do three more rooms. I thought they did a very excellent job. They did it in a couple of days. They gave me a selection of several different stains. It was just a great job.
