We bought the Angie's deal and when he arrived for an estimate the area was bigger than what we bought for. He provided a fair quote and we went forward. We couldn't get to the property (it's a rental) and trusted his judgement on using the natural color. The floors look fantastic, and our only regret was not doing this 8 years ago. It took years off of our house and updated it. We got a lot of "bang for the buck!". The natural color added so much light to the property, we'd definitely use this service again!

Joey and his crew were prompt, friendly, and did a beautiful job on the floor. They came back on a Saturday to apply the second coat of polyurethane.

Very responsive and willing to accommodate my tight timeframe. Competitive pricing. Reliable and friendly. I would definitely use Dominion Carpet again.

After replacing the carpeting and bathroom tile in my home, it was time to give my hardwood floors a facelift too. Without hesitation I called Joey at Dominion carpet to see what they could do for me. Joey came out and was pleasant and helpful as usual. He explained the process to me, gave me a quote on the spot, and made arrangements to get the work done. He offered several color and finish options as well as his expert advice. The workmen arrived when promised and the work was completed ahead of schedule.I would recommend Dominion Carpet for any of your flooring needs.

Joey gave us the lowest quote, gave us upgraded padding and installed a beautiful carpet in our basement. It looks amazing.

We were not happy with the end result or the customer service. The floors were done very quickly without attention to detail, and did not live up to the quality Joey, the manager, promised. They did not use multiple grits of sandpaper to smooth out the floors, so the sanding marks are visible and the floors were very rough. The patch job between a newly installed doorway is 1/4 orange glue which looks awful, and the piece of wood they used to patch it had a large splinter. They left a large foot print in the stain, which is unacceptable. Each day the installers were in our house we never received an update on the job and I had to call Joey and the office multiple times to ask if the floors were finished, and never received responses. It wasn't until we said we were withholding payment that Joey finally returned my calls. He was very apologetic that our floors did not turn out well, but even then we were unhappy with his customer service. He said they would come out right away to apply more poly so they floors weren't so rough and would fix the footprint. Since my husband and I were already at work that day, we responded, asking him to give us a day and time that they would be stopping over. Joey responded a few hours later saying they already went to our house, LET THEMSELVES INTO OUR HOME without our knowledge or consent, and fixed the issues. This made us very uncomfortable. They did apply another coat of poly and fix the footprint, but the patch job, the sanding marks, the risers they were supposed to install on the stairs, etc, were still not completed as promised. Joey said he would not rest until we were happy with the result, but after they would not schedule a time to come to our home as any professional company would, we are not comfortable working with the company anymore. We are extremely disappointed with the floors and wish we would have just refinished them ourselves. It's a shame because we have been very happy with others we have hired off of Angie's List, but we felt Dominion Carpet's "dedication to customer service" was disingenuous and they try to get away with very poor quality service when they can.

Dominion carpeting was pretty good in the work performed in repairing the carpet, installing new carpet and fixing "squeaks" in my floors. Joey was helpful and responsive in the work performed. I would call them again and give them an overall B for their work.

Sam and his crew were punctual, and responded well to our comments about correcting mistakes. My wife had made some changes which they worked into the project at no extra charge. We are happy with the finished work and would consider using Dominion Carpet again.

First of all, I don't write many reviews, but my experience at Dominion was so great that I find myself writing this review right now. I met with the sales manager, Joey from Dominion, for an estimate. He arrived right on time and was extremely knowledgeable throughout the estimate process, and he even came by on a Saturday afternoon due to my busy schedule. Not only did I receive a very fair price on my floors, but I was also given a large discount on tile and counter tops that were being done by a different company I happened to be working with at the time due to Dominion's connections. The refinished floors came out fantastic. They were even better than we expected. At the end of the day I received top quality work, some of the best service I have ever experienced, and I was given over $450 in discounts off of other work being done on my home. I won't be working with any other company from now on besides Dominion. Fantastic experience.

Excellent job. The floors turned out beautiful. They even fixed a section of floor that looked terrible from a former wall. I would highly recommend Joey and his team! They were professional, responsive and timely!

The vendor came to the house to quote on the floor refinishing. The vendor quoted "screening" the floor and putting down a new coat of polyurethane at $980. The work is less involved than sanding, staining and sealing but more than the big deal price. I have absolutely NO INTEREST in further contact with this vendor and do not want to be asked that question again. Please refund the big deal purchase for $577.50 for 350 Sq. Ft. of Hardwood Floor Sanding & Refinishing!

The guys did a great job. My floor looks great. I have no complaints.

***Update: The company contacted me about this review and asked what they could do to correct the problem. I am still working this through with them, but they have done everything they can from the management perspective to try to make this right. I am going to continue to work through these issues with them and then post a final update.*** Overall the company did their best to make this work, but poor performance by their tile sub-contractor spoiled the job for me. Carpet quality was good and the installation went great, short of a minor tear I found near one of the walls that was conveniently not mentioned during the installation. The company said someone would fix it, but I checked it after that point and it wasn't so much as tapped down. However, even with that the carpet looks and feels great and I am pleased. The real issues occurred with the tile subs. They just caused to much damage to my unit for me to recommend them and I had to tell Dominion not to let them back into my unit after they tried to fix their first screw up. After the installation they left all of my toilets disconnected, damaged walls when removing the over toilet shelving, did a horrible caulking job around the toilets, left one tile that was improperly cut installed in my bathroom, and damaged my sink during the installation. To their credit, the front office was amazing about getting onto their subs to get these problems resolved, but these folks just weren't very competent. When they went back to fix the toilets they caused a flood that damaged the ceiling in my kitchen. Again the front office graciously offered to get it fixed, but I insisted that it be done other individuals. I also asked for a few spare tiles during the installation process in case one of them cracked in the future, but was never able to get them to provide those. Thankfully I have one that I can match it to at Home Depot. To make a long story short, I would recommend them for carpeting, but be cautious on tile installation, although they hopefully have other crews that could do a better job.

It was a great experience. They were really about the best there is in this area but they are more expensive than anyone else but I was truly happy with their work. They charged more over $1,000 but I do not know the exact amount. I purchased the materials from them and they installed it. They took out the old carpet and took it away. They did everything when they said that they were going to do it. I was very pleased with them. I was aware of their reputation that they carry a flooring company. They are the only distributor in the area that carries nothing but that flooring brand but I would have done business with them anyway. I ended up forgetting that I had a coupon through Angie's List for them and so I did not use it. I lost a $200 discount but I would recommend them to anyone. They would not have been the lowest bidder by any means. I would definitely use them again in the future.

I was very happy with the service that Dominion provided. Their prices were extremely reasonable. Their accounts manager was fantastic to work with. They were able to fit me in right away and came promptly. There was a spot of flooring that needed to be fixed up and they came back right away to correct the problem. This is the second time we have used Dominion. They installed laminated flooring in our kitchen 5 years ago and it still looks great. I will definitely use them in the future.

The oak tiles were old and badly stained in many places. I first thought it would be best to purchase new flooring. The provider suggested that resurfacing would be a better option. I was reluctant to do the job as it was unclear if the staining could be removed. They offered to do a test and would refund the entire deposit if I decided that the stains could not be removed. They did a great job. The floors look new and beautiful.

There were a couple of bumps in the road ..we thought work would start on on Wednesday and office had us down for Thursday. There was a foot print in the floor but upon calling office and workman came out next morning early and fixed it. Joey was very responsive and told us any issue would be resolved ASAP and it was. Overall we would recommend and use again for flooring needs. All employers appeared hard working and prompt.

Mike came out for the initial measurement and estimate and was very professional and courteous. The materials were selected and the dates set for installation. The first to be done was the carpeting - the work was done in a day and the rooms looked fantastic! However the recarpeting of the open stairs was not as well done as I had hoped. Turns out that the amount ordered was not enough and I feel that the workers were trying to cut the carpet to get as much coverage resulting in minor gaps at the seams in the back edge of the stairs. The flooring for the main floor as well as the cork flooring was done the next day and again there was some confusion as to the space to do in the cork flooring. The cork was to extend into the downstairs bathroom and the installer was surprised at first to hear this but did a beautiful job. I believe since he did not realize the bathroom was part of it, he ran into issues taking up the toilet and then putting it back together. I was left to get replacement parts for the toilet and left to do it myself - which I have never done! Overall, the installers were very nice but I feel that there were communication gaps in what was expected for the job. All was resolved in the end but it did take longer than expected and while I love my new floors, I am only ok with the way the stairs turned out.

I was happy with their service. However, we had some issues with some stains that they left around the house and my driveway.

The estimate provided for the big deal ended up being the most expensive estimate of the 5 estimates i had. they added on all of these additional costs. such as they had to put down water based polyurethane because i lived in an apartment which was an added cost because it requires 4 coats vs 2 for oil. No other company required me to get water based but they also would not have charged extra. In any case I feel like they tried to rip me off and I went with another A rated company which did the job for 300$ less an it looks amazing. I will not do business with this company again. They are not honest.

The two men were very punctual. They worked non-stop!! Pretty amazing how quick and well they worked!

Since I am a repeat customer the process was even more pleasant. Joey knew just what I was looking for. He recommended dura ceramic since it fit my budget and exceeded my expectations. The installers were punctual,friendly, and knowledgeable. They had to remove and reset both of my toilets to get the job done correctly. They cleaned up everything and my home looked better than when they started. I would, and have referred my friends to Joey and Dominion Carpet. Five star service!

Joey came out quickly, gave us a quote on the spot, we were surprised at the low cost compared to other quotes we had gotten, we felt immediately at ease with him and signed contract with him. The material arrived on time, the delivery crew was carefull not to damage anything, a few days later the install crew came in and stayed working till the job was completed. We are very happy with the work and our house looks gorgeous, thank you dominion carpet. We will make sure to tell everyone about you
