excelent! couldnt ask for better service
Description of Work: we had a faulty remote for our Dish Network box, so we couldn't watch telivision in our guest bedroom. I called Dish and they mailed me a new remote via next day air. at absolutley no cost to me.

He was very efficient with fixing th problem. The only issue I had was that I had to wait 2 weeks to get my cable fixed and they charged me 15$ for a technician to come out.
Description of Work: Readjust my satellite dish.

The satellite TV service worked well until June 2013 and now it doesn't work at all unless Dish is called and after 20-30 minutes on the phone, it finally works. We asked why this needs to be done now and the person was very snotty and sounded exasperated to have to explain it to me. She said it was to prevent piracy of the signal and we would need to call them each time we hadn't used the satellite TV service for 2 weeks or more. This is not acceptable as we or renters do not use the home that frequently and we will discontinue the service at the end of the contract in November if this is not changed. It is not a good value to agree to a 2 year contract and then the terms are changed during the contract.
Description of Work: Satellite TV in vacation home in the Black Hills. Doesn't work when we or renters arrive and need to call Dish to reset the service if not used in 2 weeks.

I am stuck with them unless I can afford to pay massive fees for unsatisfactory service. I love my DISH TV. and have 4 TV"S which I pay for and have for about 15+ years... You'd think that would or could be a factor in my satisfaction, but no.
Description of Work: I hooked up their "High speed Internet" what a mistake!!! It is very slow, they don't know what is going on as far as my usage! The first 2 months, I used barely any of my allowed usage. The next month without changing any of my usage, I supposedly went over and had to UP my plan. Their service technicians are great, they go above and beyond what they need to, to make you happy. Also, they don't explain to you about all of the HIDDEN Costs that are there when you are subscribed. I tried to disconnect from them because I had 6-7 tech calls in about 2-3 weeks and things weren't working at all. I had outages, delays, everything that can irritate you. When I asked to be released from a service that was unsatisfactory, I was instantly given a quote of all of the early disconnection fees and penalties which ran up into the $1,000+ mark. Fastest service yet!! Getting a reply of fees!

This review is all about quality and professional installation practices. One does not have a lot of choices, when having this service performed, however, hopefully this review will help others know what to watch out for. The "good": The installation took place on time and the outcome was what was expected...HDTV installed and working. The "bad": This installation occured after we had snow on the ground. So because the installer didn't want to get dirty and/or do a little simple digging, he ran the cable from the dish to the ground level...then nailed it to my siding all the way across the back of my house (just above the snow line - which without snow is about three feet off the ground), before drilling a hole in the sideing to gain access. The installer failed to get the remote working in one of my rooms...necessitating me to find a way to get it working In summary, the installation overall went relatively well. However, I am finding a culture of "half-assed" service in my new residency and this is just another example that is very disappointing. I highly doubt this sort of shoddy work would be acceptable if he were installing in a $million mansion.
Description of Work: Existing Dish Network customer needing hookup at my new residence. My expectations, when hiring a professional, is that I will receive a professional quality job. I expect that if the professional is unable to comply with this simple expectation, that he will indicate that and we will find someone more appropriate. I also expect professionals to do installs the same whether the house is a $million mansion or a $100k rambler. We "poor folk" like things to be done right as well.
