Cyprus Air Heating, Cooling and Fireplaces

I had called because my furnace was short cycling. The service rep arrived on time, but the furnace did not short cycle while he was there. He did a thorough check of the furnace and gave me several pointers on how to diminish the risk that short cycling would occur, including pointing out what I could do myself to service the system. He was very professional and helpful.

I have used Cyprus Air several times over the years and as always I am pleased with their work. A++ Thanks Cyprus Air.

I was very pleased the first time they came out I knew for certain that i would call them the next time. Well, after a couple years, the system broke down they came out yesterday, and the service was even Better! The tech who came, Jason, was outrageously knowledgeable. He explained thing thoroghly enough to satisfie even me. The A/C wads working again in minutes, the cost seemed very fair, and the professionalism was basically perfection. I can't imagine what could make me call anyone else now. I learned this time they are a family run business, and that's just how they seemed.

I have never taken the time to write a review about a company before. I have nothing but the best experiences since I found Cyprus Air. Very professional, great prices and technicians who care about serving and representing their company to the best of their ability. I had a new central unit installed about 6 months ago....Excellent personal service in the bid process and installation. They came out for another central unit in our house and I thought it was dead on arrival. They fixed it.. recharged it. tightened the valves correctly that another company had messed up 6 weeks earlier. The last time I had a problem with my unit. They were here same day. had a bad fuse..not part of their original installation, still covered it under warranty. They are about service and value. ..You can't go wrong in my opinion.

· On February 16, 2013 we came into the showroom in Alexandria and selected our Cyprus Log Set. Cyprus' ad stated that they would have everything installed in 10 days and since it was winter we decided to go for it. Our salesmen were very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. On February 28th, 2013 their crew came and installed our log set. We waited for someone to come install the propane and complete the setup. On March 7th, we called and were told that all the managers were in a meeting and someone would call us back. On March 9th we called again and spoke with Ryan who said our paperwork was on his desk and that we would get an email to schedule our propane delivery with Ferrol Gas. No email came. On March 10th we left a message to have a manager call. No call came so we called back after 4:00pm and spoke with Savvas who said he would leave a message for someone to call us first thing on Monday. It was now 22 days since we purchased the unit. On March 11th we did get a call from Gordon Glover who said that he sent an email to wrong address and resent us an application for credit with Ferrell Gas. On March 12th we called Gordon since we had not heard back from Ferrell. Ferrell called after that call to schedule for the 27th of March. Called back Gordon and thanked him for getting Ferrell to call us. He told us that he would come himself to install and connect unit on March 28th. It wasn't until April 15th the Propane Tank was installed and fireplace was running. On April 28th the Propane Tank was out of gas. We refilled the tank the next day, which seemed strange. On April 30th Cyprus came out and inspected the fireplace and the technician informed us that the original installation had wrongly installed a Natural Gas burner and that was the reason so much gas was spent. He replaced the wrongly installed NATURAL GAS burner unit for the correct Propane gas burner unit. That was why we basically went through the half tank of Propane that was originally installed. We spoke to either Ryan or Gordon who apologized sincerely for the fact that it took SIX WEEKS for the completion of our set up along with the wrong burner setup causing us to burn Propane at a ridiculous rate. They said that because of all this they would come give us a one year service contract at no charge. I have tried numerous times to get them to honor this and come out and service my unit but to no avail. I would strongly recommend staying away from this company. The only thing that was professional about this company was the quality of the actual people who came to our home.

My A/C broke and I was looking for a good a service company. I called several places and was not able to get an apt for 3-4 days. I found Cyprus online and gave them a call. I was very kimpessed with the level of customer service I got. I spoke with Vastyand she was very knowledgeable and I might say funny too! She answered my questions and she set me up with an apt that day. The technician Harry came out and after a thorough check of my system , he had me up and going in no time. The cost was reasonable, and he didn't try to sell me things I didn't need. Kudos to this company! I have and will recommend all of my family and friends, and I highly recommend them to you. I will not take my business anywhere else. I am a customer for life!

After Calling to get someone to look at our water leaking/ clogged A/C unit, the lady that answered the phone was very pleasant and could have someone show up today. After less than 3 hours, someone was at mu house and gave a welcoming attitude. He proceeded to walk me through all the issues he found and his recommendations. The tech gave a great representation and will definitely use Cyprus Air if I want to upgrade my ac unit or if I need any repairs in the future. I would also recommend Cyprus Air to any friends or neighbors that my have AC issues. Thank you for making the process of servicing my ac unit painless and at a reasonable price.

Their work was good quality. However, the coordination was a bit lacking. The job was complex as this was a conversion so I have to give some slack. I am very happy with the product, people and a fair price. Although the price quoted changed multiple times for adjustments they failed to see during the estimate. I had multiple bids they ranged from 5Kto 12K so CY was not the cheapest guy on the block. For those who need to work with Washington Gas watch out. WG is very hard to get a hold of. A job like this needed a general contractor to keep the 4 parties involved in sync. The job took 5 weeks to complete due to coordination. For those who are thinking of going to gas, this was worth every penny. The total conversion cost was about $31,000 since it required a new gas line coming into the home. The home did have existing ducts so that saved some cost. Part of the conversion was ?shared? or offset by promotions so be sure to do your research.

I called Cyprus Heating and A/C for annual service. Harry was the name of the service tech and he was here is about an hour. When he left me A/C seemed to be working more efficiently than before even though my unit is very old. Very Happy with service.

You can not go wrong with using this company. We have been Cyprus and Aire for over 25 years. They are fast, honest, and the back up their work. We have never had a problem with them. From the call to office till when the service man leaves. They answer all your questions and they explain step by step what they are doing.

We were looking for an honest A/C company that will fix my A/C right, and not try to sell me parts or service I didn't need. I called the office to make an apt and right off the bat the service was very pleasant. The service tech came out my house the same day and got us back up and going. He was knowledgeable, friendly and professional. I have finally found an honest, reliable A/C company. I would recommend this company to anyone looking for the same service.

It appeared that the installation went fine until the county inspector arrived and would not pass the installation because a reflector hood was not installed. We we surprised that this was the case because we had supplied Cyprus with the measurements in advance thinking they would know if the reflector hood was required. We contacted Cyprus at 425 pm the afternoon of the failed inspection and was told everyone had gone home. We found this very surprising since their ads state they are open to 6. We were told someone would return the call the next day, Thursday. Having not heard from them by 4 on Thursday we called them and the individual who sold us the logs told us some one would call the next day, Friday. Having not heard from them be 330 on Friday we contacted them. After a very unpleasant phone conversation wherein their sales person told me they had already installed the hood we were told a technician would be at our home at 8 am on Saturday morning. Having not heard from a technician by 1100 am on Saturday we contacted Cyprus and was told the technician was running behind and we were the next stop. I then went into the showroom in hopes of receiving an explanation as to why we were lied to again. After receiving no apologies or explanation we were assured the technician was on his way. He did finally arrive at 1200 noon and installed the hood. Now keep in mind that Cyprus had already charged the balance of the installation to our credit card even though the contract did not permit them to do so until installation was complete. I would not recommend this company to anyone and will never use again. We used them because they are located in our area and we wanted to use a local business. This is a decision we regret; we should have stuck with the company that installed our first set of logs.

I would say Cyprus Air is my new A/C people. Very Nice service guy, and honest prices and service. I would recommend this company to anyone looking for someone to take care of there homes air conditioning. Perfect for me!

I had Cyprus out on Friday(rain and all) and Jason the technician had to replace a motor, capcitor, and other stuff. He was professional and explained everything to me and showed me the parts. I would recommend them to anyone they are Honest, dependable, and reasonable. I was truly impressed and I will have them back in January to replace my unit! I can't go wrong with them they are Great!

When Cyprus leaves you will know the work they have done is done perfect and there prices are low and will fit your budget. And the give people over the age of 60 years old a 10% discount. Now what company now day's offers a discount for work done? Do not take my word just call them and I will bet you from the moment the phone is answered until you hang up you will be so impressed that you will not even think of calling any other company.

I found Cyprus Air to be efficient and professional. When something broke I recalled them and they came in time. They did all service and everything goes well. I recommend them.

These guys are nice enough but in hand doesn't know what the other is doing. First they never called to confirm my appointment- so I finally called them this afternoon. I was told my appointment wasn't in their system because they had a new system and it wasn't transferred correctly to the new system. They said someone should come after 5. I finally call at 5:30 to confirm, and they tell me that no one's coming. They had a hard time keeping schedules straight last time I used them. I'm done. My time's too valuable to waste it on a company that wastes it. I do NOT recommend them.

Cyprus Air Conditioning really came through when we needed it most. Our Central Air Conditioning Unit went out when the temperature was over ninety degrees and the humidity was about the same. Our unit was fifteen years old and I was given a great price to replace since the system was so old. They installed a Carrier system and the system is much more efficient and works better than the old system.

The serviceman, Jason, was polite, quick and efficient. He came out the same day I called, and returned two days later for the fix. He insulated the AC pipe, and dug a small trough outside to allow the drain to function properly. I had no idea what to expect when I called, and the house is 60 years old, so I'm happy that the problem was minor and easily fixed. All the HVAC companies I called had a fee just to come out to the house, which does not count towards the repair bill. Cyprus did too, though it was slightly lower than others, at $89. Overall, I was very happy with the quick response and repair, and I would recommend this company.

It was a nice surprise to find a professional, honest and knowledgeable firm as Cyprus Heating and A/C they were on time. Efficient and no B.S. In 6 hours they replaced my old(13 years ac) at a very honest price. I will recommend this firm.

Cyprus Air is different from others by there service. I called them at 10 am and they came within the time as told. These guys are nice, honest and provide the best service. Everything is working great after the repair.

I called this company for a repair this afternoon> Andy arrived in a few short hours, inspected our AC system and couldn't have been any more professional. He diagnosed the problem and our AC unit was running before the end of the day. I was pleased with the amount of the service charge. I will be recommending this company to my friends and I will not hesitate to contact them again. Thanks Andy and Cyprus Air!

When my air stopped working they came right out and fixed it they were fast and very professional. JD was the name of the Tech he represented himself and the company very well. He Performed a maintenance on the AC and installed an electric part.

I called Cyprus Air to fix my A/C and they had it repaired within 4 hours of my initial phon Very impressed with their professionalism. My AC works better than ever.

I Called Cyprus Air Conditioning to fix my Trane Air Conditioner. They arrived when they said they would and checked my air conditioner. It needed a good cleaning and some adjustments. The air conditioning technician was very informative and got it fixed. I highly recommend this company.
