Cyprus Air Heating, Cooling and Fireplaces

The product that we purchased had some issues over the last year but they were good at servicing it. They did everything they could to get it operational especially during the winter season. Their pricing was the main reason why we went with them. They were always quick to get someone to help us.

Went to the showroom in Alexandria to look at gas fireplace options for my all-electric home. The sales person was very informative, patient and professional. Answered all my questions and was asking me questions about what I wanted and needed and expected from a gas fireplace. Explained the various models, options and pricing. No pressure and low key. He spent a lot of time with me. Gave me an estimate on a couple of potential options for purchase and install. I took the information home and did some online research and spent time thinking about going forward. Returned to the store a couple of weeks later with my decision. They worked with me to provide all the required information so I could get approval from our homeowners association for the installation of the exterior propane tank. Scheduled installation and that went smoothly, although the original edterior placement of the tank could not be used due to county restrictions on required distances from doors and windows. New location was found which proved to be even better suited. The installers were careful of the existing shrubbery and hardscape in the area when placing the platform on which the tank would sit. They were neat and explained what they would do. Drilled into the wall of the fireplace for the gas line and sealed that opening with morter. Gas line was run from the tank to the fireplace interior in a very neat manner and supported with brackets as appropriate. Interior gas line and burner installed very neatly. Company arranged for Ffx County inspection prior to final testing. Company also recommended propane company to fill tank. That company filled the tank and instructed me on it's operation as well. The installers explained what they did, showed me all the shut-off valves and how they worked. One of the connections on an interior gas line needed to be tightened and the company was very quick to respond to my phone call. They are appropriately concerned about safety and ensuring that the homeowner understand the operations of the unit. I've thoroughly enjoyed having the new fireplace and the convenience it offers. Worth every penny! Would recommend Cyprus Air to anyone considering the installation of a gas fireplace.

We have spent thousands of dollars with this company. The company and service is well good & bad... the installation for one of the units was not so good. Had to have them back 4 times to get it almost right. The second system & water heater went well. A lot depends on the workers that they have come out. They have some not so good workers and some very good workers. I would say that there biggest issue is communication. We had 2 appointments where they never showed up, and 1 appointment where they were 3 hours later than expected. I have spoken with the service manager/managers a number of times to make them aware of this. I was told that they would indeed follow up on the complaints.I see from some of the other reviews that I was not alone on these issues. I think that overall it is a good company- but they do need to work on a few things. I would definitely confirm things to make sure that everyone is on the same page. Hope this helps.

We just had installed a gas fireplace from Cyprus. We were pleased with the entire experience. The process took some time because of the permits and inspections but that's what we expected. We love our fireplace and use it all the time. We love the function where the remote control adjusts the flame height.

Our fireplace installation went very smooth. After the system arrived Cyprus was able to install the unit within a few days. The installer were very professional and knowledgeable. They really respected our home and kept it very clean. The install process took several hours but once everything was done the fireplace looked gorgeous. Good Job!

We have 5 gas fireplaces in our home. They have not been serviced for a couple of years. We called on Cyprus Air to service all five. They were willing to get us a discount because we have so many. After Carleton, the tech, was done he showed us how to light and operate all the fireplaces. He was very courteous and our fireplaces look great!

We were getting ready to sell our house and we needed our fireplace to get inspected and serviced that same day. We called on Cyprus and they sent out a technician. He did a very thorough cleaning of the fireplace and all went well.

Not great. From the beginning I should have been concerned. They missed a scheduled appointment. While the installation went well service has been average at best and the fireplace has required several services already. Not working currently 4 months after installation. First time they installed the remote box in the fireplace and it burned up making it impossible to turn off. Now we've had consistent pilot problems. This time the pilot won't stay lit and we find that since it's now 3 months past installation they're charging us 195 to just come and repair it. A new fireplace should not have these problems. Their scheduling is poor. They've missed several appointments. And customer service is Luke warm at best. I would not recommend them for gas fireplace installation.

We called Cyprus Air to our home to swap out our oil furnace and replace with an electric furnace. The initial team came and sized the unit and then replaced it as per schedule. After they started the new unit we noticed it was not heating up the house very well. They sent another tech who came and did some diagnostics. His service report stated that the capacity of the new unit was lower. The installed compressor size was not sufficient. Based on that report the company sent another team after two weeks to replace our entire furnace unit. They increased our furnace BTU capacity to the next size, changed our return ducts and tested out the new configuration. The new config worked much better for our house. They did not charge us for the rework because their initial capacity analysis was incorrect. But I found it very surprising that the company voluntarily noticed their error and replaced the entire unit. They had already installed another furnace for us before which is also working well. Now we have two cyprus air units and they are fine. The teams which come and work onsite work really well. Our second unit install was really difficult duct work due to the previous oil furnace but they did not charge us any extra installation costs. Raj

Cyrprus Air's prices are reasonable but working with them is frustrating at best. In our last home they put in a new heat pump. We were not thrilled with the work as the pad they put in under the unit was not level and looked cracked and messy but they would not fix it without an additional charge. We had a service contract with them for years for that unit and they never kept one appointment on time. They would cancel the night before, switch time windows without telling us, etc. This led to numerous instances of my husband or I taking time of work and having no one show up to perform the work. Their billing department is also inept and made mistake after mistake. They also have a tendancy to call and leave messages asking for a call back but with no description of why you need to call back or who you need to speak to and since the people who pick up the phones make little to no attempt to help it has led to numerous calls that are a waste of time and then more messages on our home phone for reasons we do not understand. We should have found another company to do the service on our heat pump but since our warranty was with Cyrprus we felt that it would possibly cause problems if we switched companies. We recently moved and needed an estimate for a new furnace and AC unit in our new home and decided to ask for an estimate from Cyprus. I was given an 8-10am time window and told a note would be added to ask that I be first on the list of appointments because I had to get to work as soon as I could. At 9:30 no one had come or called so I called Cyprus and they told me my time window had changed to 9-11. I told them that was unacceptable. They did manage to get someone there by 10:15 which still made me incredibly late. The person who came had no material on the products offered and suggested a size unit that was not the same as the one I had and that disagreed with the suggestion of the other 3 companies who came for estimates. He also was not able to provide a thorough estimate onsite unlike the other companies and had to email me later to provide me with final figures. Even if Cyrprus had been the cheapest we knew we could not hire them again. Horrible experiences for years and I'm happy we will not need to work with them ever again.

Cyprus Air installed a new fireplace on our wall. We thought that this project was going to be expensive and take forever to get done. We are so delighted that we found Cyprus Air. We spent half of the money that we expected and it was finished within 30 days.

We were in the market for a new fireplace in our basement. We wanted a very specific type of mantle and gas fireplace. We looked everywhere. One day we saw a flyer for Cyprus Air Showroom. and decided to drive up. We are so glad we did, there is a sales rep by the name of TSENGEL. Within 15 minutes of our conversation he showed us about 20 options, then we found what we were looking for. I wish we knew this place existed a long time ago. We are very pleased with the new system.

Our gas fireplace was about 9 years old and just did not heat in our room. We decided to start looking around for a new system. We went to Cyprus Airs showroom and they had so many fireplaces on display. If anyone decides to go to the showroom... DO NOT TAKE A COAT! It gets hot in there. We went through several systems in the showroom and decided on the campfire. It looked so natural plus it provided heat. We were told that the system would take about two weeks to arrive and when it did the install went without a hitch. We really like our system and will recommend Cyprus Air. Two thumbs up!!

Cyprus Air serviced our gas fireplace. We thought it needed a new burner. Cyprus Air tech said all it needed was a good cleaning and now our fireplace works just fine. Good job.

Our interaction with Cypress on this work has been extremely disappointing, frustrating, and lacked professionalism on their part. A sales representative came to our house on 8/13/13 to give an estimate of the work to be done which was to remove the current gas log system in a vented fireplace and install a new gas log system, and close the vent. The price was fairly high - $7117.30 but the sales rep specifically stated that installing the new firebox would require removal and reinstallation of the wooden mantle, and removal and replacement of all of the existing granite - to include the hearth. He also specified that work or materials not required would be deducted from the price quoted us. We were told the job would be completed by the end of September and I would get a call within a few days to set up the work. I never got a call so by the middle of September I called them. I could not get anyone to return my call. When I finally reached someone, they set a date to come out. After installing the new unit, the technicians said that I could get a call from Cyprus regarding the inspection, within a few days. After a week, I called Cyprus, again having no one return my calls, and finally requested the inspection. I also requested someone to come out and look at the logs because it was not what I had picked out in the store. No one came. My husband and I finally went into the store, asked the sales rep to pick out what we had bought, and I showed him a picture of what Cypress had installed - which was very different. A technician came out to re-install the logs. I asked when the granite would be installed as now it was October, and I had a gaping open fireplace. Again, I called and called and got no calls returned. I finally called one of the owners, and he did nothing. So I was ABSOLUTELY APPALLED to find out that on 25 October, with the work still unfinished, Cyprus had made the second, final, UNAUTHORIZED charge to my American Express card!! I NEVER checked the box that authorized this and the lady I spoke to in billing was quite rude when I called them to take the charge off. She did, but I also took the precaution of calling American Express to put a block on all future charges from Cyprus. This STILL did not generate any action in getting the granite put on!! The granite was finally installed in mid-December, four months after the contract was signed. I asked Billing to send me a new bill based on the fact the mantle did not need to be removed, nor did the granite on the hearth have to be removed or replaced, which was the biggest piece of granite. Again I never got a return phone call until I finally reached them to pay this bill. She verbally told me over the phone to deduct $400 from the bill. I was shocked that that was the amount they would deduct from a $7117 installment that didn't require the mantle to be removed or the biggest piece of granite! I said I needed a bill in the mail. I never got one until this week, dated 21 February, with an added $176.88 Late Finance Charge!! For a bill I never received!! Again I called one of the owners, and sent him an email. No response. I have paid the final bill to Cyprus Air, will never work with them again, and would never recommend anyone I know to work with them. We have never worked with such an unprofessional team as Cyprus Air.

Our family decided that it would be a good investment to purchase a new gas fireplace. We were so delighted with Anthony's approach with the sale of our fireplace we decided to purchase right then and there. Fast forward 10 days... The installers show up. It took about 7.5 hours to finish the job. The first day they ran all gas lines and installed a pressure test for inspections. The following day the inspector passed the work and Cyprus came back and fired up the system. Everything went as expected and we are pleased with the fireplace and work.

Cyprus Air just installed our gas insert fireplace. This system throws out sooooo much heat. We recommend Cyprus Air to friends and family.

Our living room has always been a bit chilly when the weather got below 45 degrees. We started looking around for a new fireplace when we ran into Cyprus Air with on of there ads. After speaking with Anthony, a sales rep, he was able to lead us to a direction that no other company was able to do. @e are so happy with Anthony...he was able to save us thousands!!! The experience with the coordinating and the installation process went as expected. Thank you Anthony and Cyprus Air.

We purchased a gas fireplace last month and we use it all the time. Our experience from the booking of the call to the county inspection went very smooth. They actually exceeded my expectations when they actually called me one week earlier to install the system since it arrived earlier.

Throughout the process, they explained all the steps, explained some minor pre-existing issues, trouble shot an oder from a tiny piece of paper burning in the furnace, and cleaned up some dust/debris where I asked them to. They did a good job even helping me with moving a piece of furniture. The only issue is that it would have been nice if they had cleaned up afterwards around every vent - it was quite dirty (I guess a good sign that the cleaning was effective).

Cyprus Air installed one of their gas fireplaces in my home last week. WE LOVE IT! Great heat, great service and the install team was very courteous to us. Highly recommend.

The company just serviced my gas fireplace. After the blower part arrived, they installed it the next day. The tech (Carlton) was very professional. My system works as expected. Thank you for being prompt and providing a great service.

We went to Cyprus Showroom and had a great time in there! The staff was very courteous and professional. We went over several options before we decided to purchase our second gas logs from Cyprus Air. The sales and Install process went great and exceeded our expectations.

Shoe covers and drop clothes I luv that. All are cozy, and warm in what was all ways a cold basement. The technician JASON WAS VERY CLEAN DROP CLOTHES SHOE COVERS HE EVEN FOUND A WAY TO RUN GAS LINE THREW CEILING WITH NO HOLES. THANKS JASON WE WILL SEE YOU FOR A CLEANING IN THE FALL.
