Cyprus Air Heating, Cooling and Fireplaces

When they finished it, we thought everything was okay because we had cooling of the house. Within two plus weeks, my husband said that it wasn't working correctly. When my son moved in, he mentioned something was wrong as well. I personally saw that the system said malfunctioned. I called for a service tech and no one responded. It also stated that it could have connected to a WiFi, however there is no good WiFi available in my area. So I know there is no WiFi interference. The thermostat stated several times, "blower malfunctioned." I've called October 27th, 28th, Nov. 3rd, Nov. 7th and I waited the whole day to see if they would call me back and they did not. We've been good standing in the area for 30 plus years. Cyprus bragged that they put in the gas fireplaces at the new George Washington Library. They also bragged about their gas fireplace showrooms. I asked for additional help with and they wouldn't come help with that either.

Cyprus Air seems unable to send an estimator or even to have the common decency to call to notify me that they will be unable to send an estimator. Twice, last year and again this year I have set up appointments to have an estimator determine whether I can install a gas fireplace. Last year they missed the appointment and neglected to call to let me know that they would not be meeting the appointment. This year the exact same situation occurred, no call, no notification. When I called I was informed that I needed to reschedule. This is unacceptable and unprofessional. I have no confidence in this company.

They were fast to come out and did a pretty good job.

When the condensate pump kept running with no reason, I placed a service call with Cyprus. The appointment I got was next day. Technician came right within the scheduled time frame. Initially inspection fee and/or travel charge is $69. After 10 minute inspection and 10 minute warranty verification by calling back to office, they quoted me $150 to replace the pump. The entire repair job needs less than 15 minutes to unscrew 2 screws and loose two tubes. They basically charged me at $600 hourly rate. Since I have the entire AC/Furnace unit replaced by Cyprus almost 6 years ago (I still needed to show the technician the original invoice), the part is still under warranty. The pump was quoted at $378 without warranty. If I do not pay $150, Cyprus won't give me the new part. Cyprus knew I am definitely on hook. Any price less than $378, I would have no choice to accept it.

It was okay. They should stop running fake reviews. Other members should make sure to read the real reviews.

The nightmare that I am experiencing with this company started last Friday. My credit card was replaced last month. I got a call to update it and approve a payment for $67.00 on Thursday. When I went my bank on Friday, I was wondering way I had a minus account. Cypress Air took $847.00 out of my account. I was told to call on The next day(Saturday) at 8:00am. I spoke to customer service and the to Accounting. They said their computers were down and I would get a call back. No one called. I posted my frustrations on their website also. No one could tell me about their mistake unto Tuesday. Now someone called me when they read the post on Monday ( at the end of the day). I asked for refund. I was told it would be taken care of. I filed adispute with my bank on Saturday also. I was told that it would take 7 to 10 days. I am still getting the run around. Lies and deceit is what this company is about. I would no do business with them.

Call out went very well. Lovely young man serviced the system who was informative and arrived promptly. We've used Cyprus Air previously to install a gas fire in the basement and they continue to give very very good service.

They have been out twice. They were here once for the initial work and then there was a follow up.

The first time they installed they were not very professional. The service was very good.

The front office is an answering service. They never returned my calls. I never got the chance to speak with a representative from the company despite the efforts. I had to ask Angies for a refund and call a serious company. I'm afraid Angies is becoming too big and doesn't check on the promotions they sell. Every time I call for support They just wanted to sell me the upgrade membership. Loosing my trust.

On February 18, 2016 we purchased a gas fireplace insert from Cyprus Air- Heating and Cooling Alexandria location. Our home inspection was set up for March 7, 2016 and was completed on time as scheduled. The fireplace installation was then scheduled for March 28, 2016 (39 days after purchasing the unit) between 8-12pm. We received a call at around noon to see if the crew had arrived- they had not. We then received a call around 3pm stating that the crew had been held up on another visit and we would need to reschedule our installation. The 2nd appointment for fireplace installation was scheduled for April 9, 2016 (51 days after purchasing the unit). The crew showed up on time and we thought they did a pretty good job. The Fairfax county inspection was on April 25, 2016 and we FAILED! There was no interior gas shutoff installed! We then made another appointment...on April 29, 2016...71 days after purchasing the unit!!! The crew showed up on time and installed the proper gas line and shutoff valve. They also fixed the improperly installed logs and embers. They were quick and efficient and we were happy with this crews service. On May 4, 2016 the Fairfax county inspector came out. We finally passed! It took a total of 76 days from the time of purchase to have a properly installed gas fireplace!!! On May 5,2016 we spoke with the office manager Rhonda and they offered us a $10/month discount on our maintenance plan. I told her this was not acceptable reimbursement and asked to speak with some one above her. No one got back to us. On May 23, 2016, after calling again, we finally received a call from the Operations Manager- Vasty. She said she was "sorry we had trouble with our service and that sometimes things go well and sometimes things don't." She was unable to offer us any other discount or reimbursement until she "did her research" and spoke with the higher-ups. I called back on May 26, 2016 and left a message- I have NOT RECEIVED A CALL BACK! I am fed up. We have taken 3 days off of work and 3 days off early to deal with this company, We feel some sort of reimbursement should be made and do not see any settlement in the near future.

The installers did a great job and took care of any concerns we brought to their attention.

I was not home during the install, so I can not comment on that. We let our contractors work with Javier. When we got home, everything was installed and cleaned as we expected. The fireplace works well and we are pleased! Also, we had to reschedule a few times last minute and Cyprus Air was very accommodating.

I was pleased from the beginning to the end with both John and Fredi. They are very professional. John made me feel comfortable in my choices. Fredi came out very well mannered and showed professionalism. Overall five stars at least, no less. Thanks Guys

Roberto F did a great job installing my air conditioner, I recommend highly. Also Michael J was excellent in showing and explaining what needed to be done about my air conditioner, I recommend him Highly too!!!

All Aspects of Service were stellar.

The Technician called ahead to notify us if his intent arrival time and he arrived on time. He was polite, professional and competent. He wrote down the symptoms, his troubleshoot, and the required repair. He also indicated some recommended actions. The heat stove is now operating and should provide comfortable heating all winter long. We recommend Levi to anyone wanting an efficient technician.

I appreciate the professionalism of your company. When I have had complaints, you have handled them very respectfully and quickly. I feel your company appreciates my business and I appreciate your professionalism.

The best technician I have ever had. I will be requesting him from now on. He is very meticulous in his work. He patiently answered all my questions. I believe he is a great ambassador for your company and I hope you are showing him appreciation for his great work ethic.

Fred Rodriguez was very professional and helpful in explaining and answering my question. A/C and heating replacements aren't a process done on a routine schedule. Technology and Government rules are the most changing part. He showed a lot of diplomacy working with me. Over the next 10 days I hope to review several proposals to arrive at a product selection.

The Technician did an excellent job on inspecting my heating system. He was very friendly, courteous and very knowledgeable.
