Beginning with installation of these fire-place units and the build out of the fire-place on my ground floor, Cyprus's Air service, professionalism, pricing, quality and timeless were exemplary. Their design and execution of the fire-place build out were spectacular, converting my ground floor family room into the most beautiful and comfortable area in the house. Since installation Cyprus has performed exemplary annual servicing of the units it installed. On this most recent visit, the Cyprus Air technician arrived when scheduled and called me in advance of arriving to alert me to his imminent arrival. While here he performed his work very professionally, laying out a canvas tarp to ensure that any ashes that he might stir up while cleaning out the fire-places would stain nearby carpet or furniture. When he left, both fire-place units were fully functional, both looked clean and ready for another winter.

Because Cyprus Air was aggressively marketing its new Falls Church location and offering significant discounts, we stopped in the showroom to speak with a salesperson. We received a ballpark estimate but left a name and number for a call back to schedule an in-home visit for a detailed estimate and explanation of how the gas line would be run. We never received the promised telephone call. A couple weeks later, we saw that they were running and even better special and called the 1-888 number. The person on the telephone was rude and instead that we needed to come into the showroom to receive the advertised discount. I explained that we already had visited the new showroom and were supposed to have received a call to schedule an appointment. Reluctantly, the person on the telephone scheduled an appointment. Again, the person was unbelievably (and irrationally) rude in explaining that they were only doing appointments on Thursdays and Mondays and had received a lot of calls because of the sale. So, fast forward about 2-3 weeks (today) when someone was supposed to show up for the estimate. After the window given (11-1) expired, I called Cyprus Air to find out when the person would be arriving. I suppose I should not have been surprised that Cyprus Air had no record of my telephone call or appointment. When I expressed my frustration at having been blown off (a second time), the person on the phone was kind enough to offer to make another appointment. I questioned how I could be sure that someone from Cyprus Air would show up this time? She did not really have much to say and made little effort to try to keep me as a potential customer. I would not recommend this company to anyone. If only more fireplace companies would come to DC!

The service professional was very courteous and punctual. He was unobtrusive and respected our space. He maintained a clean environment and picked up after himself. One could not tell that he visited other than the fireplaces had a clean look which was the purpose. He was focused on his job and performed it in a timely manner. I felt comfortable leaving him to his work and not having to be there to watch. His professionalism is something I suggest others emulate.

Cyprus air called a month ahead to schedule the appointment. They arrived on the date scheduled and within the time frame agreed upon. There was a main technician and a man in training. They were both friendly and wore clean uniforms. When they first arrived the fireplace would not respond to the remote starter. The technician trouble shot the problem and had tge unti operational within 8 hours. The technician performed his work very professionally. He laid out a canvas tarp to prevent the ashes from staining the carpet. I had purchased a new electric carbon monoxide monitor and he took time to discuss its importance and where to place it. The fireplaces was fully operational when he left. I was impressed!

I have a contract with Cyprus air for several years for this maintenance. Cyprus calls to schedule a date, calls the night before toi tell me the window of time the technician will be arriving the next day, and then follows up afterwards to make sure the job was done to my satisfaction. The same technician has come for several years and he is very efficient, friendly, and able to explain or train you in how to use the fireplace features. My fireplace has various setting using both the remote and manually so if I forget anything he can show me what to do. I feel secure knowing it is checked every year so it will operate safely and last a long time since it was expensive to install in the first place. Usually the service takes less than an hour and the technician brings his own drop clothe to keep the area clean.

A shady operation. A technician came out to inspect and repair our fireplace, and reported it was inoperable and that we should come by the showroom and pick out a more reliable fireplace! Are they serious??! After one year of use??? Was the technician trained to say that? We have tried for four months to have someone return our calls to resolve this matter, with no success. I am prepared to report this to the Better Business Bureau. I recommend potential customers stay away from Cyprus Air.

It went very well. Technician was very thorough and pleasant. We will certainly call again...also renewed contract.

Cyprus air performed my routine fall/winter water heater and furnace maintenance check. They arrived around the time that they said they would(someone from the main office called to let me know they were on their way).. They did a thorough check and provided a detailed description of all the services performed. This time everything was fine and they did not offer any additional services. I have used Cyprus air for many years and am happy with their services as well as with the polite maintenance people that they send over.

They were Prompt and very professional. After checking the problem they determined and corrected the problem.

The Technician performed all that was needed to assure me that the fireplace was in excellent condition for proper functioning this winter. Happy!

Julian Provided excellent and courteous professional and thorough service of all 24 points of the maintenance plan. It included excellent explanations of the operations of the fireplace such as the flues of the fireplace and any needs of chimney sweeping. Cyprus air and Julian are to be commended for such an excellent service!

I've been with Cyprus for over 5 years. They are always professional, timely and helpful. Their Technicians are polite and well trained.

I purchased a deal on January 6 from Angie's List. The provider originally scheduled for their crew to come out at 10-1 on January 12. January 12 came and I called them at 10 to verify they were coming out. They said they may be a little later than their given time due to a meeting running long. To cut to the chase they kept telling me that their crew was running behind due that meeting and they were just finishing up the job before mine. I heard that excuse from 1:30-4. At 4 the office said they could arrive at 5 and finish the job by 7:30PM, but that wouldn't work with my schedule. We had to reschedule, which would have been fine if they had let me know hours before so I wasn't wasting their time and mine calling to find out where the crew was. When the crew did arrive on Thursday January 15 they were polite and this time arrived within the scheduled time. We paid the extra fee to have the dry vents cleaned and they did a good job, however the calls to get them there were a little much.

Knowing how some contractors make money off of customers, I was worried that when the technician comes, he would come up with a list of items to replace. However, I'm happy to say that it was not the case. Brandon, the technician, was professional; he spent close to an hour and patiently checked the circuit board on the heat pump, the wiring in the air handler, and the thermostat to find the source of, what I thought, was the problem. There was not anything wrong. I might have put too much pressure on the system, but whatever it was, everything started back on. He was honest with me to say that nothing was wrong. Heating and cooling systems are not cheap, so he could have easily overcharged me over replacing a few unnecessary parts, but he didn't. I'm very glad that I called Cyprus Air, and they're surely the company I would call for any services that they would provide.

We were interested in having a gas fireplace installed in our home. After visiting the showroom, we scheduled Larry Riche, a comfort specialist, to visit our house to go over options the following weekend. When Larry failed to arrive at the agreed upon time and did not answer his cell phone, we called the showroom. We were told that Larry was still in the showroom and did not have any appointments scheduled for this morning. We wasted an entire morning waiting for Larry. We'll take our business elsewhere.

I cannot say anything good about this company and truly question how they can continue to stay in business for very much longer. I used them based on the heavy advertising they put out. The fireplace installers came out and I noticed that they were installing pretty much the same system they were removing, when I was paying for a more efficient system. If I had said nothing I would have paid over $3,000 for nothing! I called to speak to the salesman who sold me the system and he decided that the installer had been given the wrong burner. They installed it just to give me a working fireplace and promised to return with the correct burner. They came a second time and still had the wrong part! Good thing I was watching very carefully because I caught the mistake again. I spoke with the salesperson again and he could not explain what was going on. He sent me a picture of what the burner was supposed to look like and I assured him that the one installed looked nothing like it. The third trip out produced the correct burner. The fireplace is putting out more heat than before but nothing worth $3600. On another trip they cleaned the air ducts. While doing that the tech showed me some "mold" around the duct cut-outs on the second floor. He recommended UV lights to be installed in the HVAC units and I went with his recommendation and another $800. When my usual HVAC service company came for the Summer service they showed me how the upstairs UV light was installed on the wrong side of the unit. If left uncorrected it would have severely damaged my filter. Cyprus sent the same tech back to correct the problem. When my service company returned for another service they noticed that the downstairs UV light was not operating. The ballast was not providing power to the bulb. The ballast is under a one year warranty but Cyprus wants $89 to come out and replace it. So every time a warranted item fails I have to pay another $89 to have it corrected. That is not how a reputable company operates. They are passing their problems (bad parts) to the customer and making them pay for their poor choice of parts. My HVAC service company, who I trust very much, also commented that the UV lights installed are not doing much at all as they are way too small for the HVAC units I have. They said these types of lights are used in small apartments and condos, not large detached homes. When I had issues with my windows I contacted the window company (a large, well known company) and they sent out a technician to fix the problem on approximately 30 windows and it did not cost me a dime. Buyer beware!

It was fairly straightforward. I bought an Angie's list deal for an inspection and 1lb of refrigerant. Everything went smoothly

The quality of the work was excellent. However, one of the two techs constantly tried to talk me into additional services, which would have more than quadrupled the price, and continued even after I repeatedly asked him to stop and even threatened to ask them to leave. Based on my review of the prepared price list, where each service was available at different levels and where, apparently, eveything was negotiable, and by the carefully chosen language the tech used (I previously managed contracts and, in my opinion, his sales pitch was carefully designed so that it sounded like I really, really needed this work, but I could not accuse him of harrassment or factual misstatements) this appeared to be their way of doing business - get in with a low price, then jack it up with additional work. I did negotiate a much reduced price (compared to the price list) for cleaning the air handler and, as a parting shot, the tech offered to return to seal the ducts, again at a price that could be much lower than what they advertised. In summary, they did excellent work, but behaved in a very unprofessional manner. Unless you are willing to have a constant argument with someone who keeps trying to sell you more and more services, I recommend not using this vendor.

They came out to check to see why the hosue wasent geeting coll it turns out the unit out side was turned off, so they said they wouldent charge me becasue they did't have too do anything. and he would rit that on the ticket so I can call back and use the service at a later date.
