It did not cost more than the big deal of $40. The service guy who came out was very friendly. I was not so thrilled with the inspection. I’m not quite sure but I think they didn’t do everything that was on the coupon. There were some things like allergy something that they didn’t do. But he walked me through other things and he did a fire check and he explained the whole humidifier system to me. I just don’t know if he didn’t know that that was part of it because he did go above and beyond explaining other parts of the system care. Overall it was a good experience. The only thing maybe was they didn’t call me the second time because we had to re-schedule and they didn’t call before they came. Other than that, they were good.

Service went well. A part needed was not available the first visit, but the service person returned the following week and completed the service.

He did well. What ended up happening was he gave us a quote for a larger repair, but then, he also told us that we can do it ourselves and save money. So, we ended up doing the overall repair ourselves. We really appreciated his honesty. What stood out was the honesty in his assessment. We actually do need to hire them again or somebody like them to clean the air conditioning duct. So, we plan to hire them again in the future.

I had Cyprus air install a totally new HVAC system in my house in 2010. So when my basement flooded due to the condensate pump leaking, I felt that I needed to call them again. In March 2015, my basement flooded and I determined it was coming from the condensate pump. The repairmen came and determined that it was the pump and replaced the hose to pump water to the outside of the house. They didn't really seem to be bothered to make sure it wasn't anything else. This cost me $550 plus the $1500 to clean up the water damage that I paid another company to perform. They left about 2 feet of hose just sticking out of my house running uphill, so that water could flow back towards the foundation! I had to dig out a channel to put the hose in, so that the hose was at least level! Then on June 26th, my basement flooded again in the same spot. I saw that it was again coming from the condensate pump. I immediately called Cyprus because it had only been 3 months since they supposedly "fixed" this issue. The dispatcher told me that they would send someone out sometime that day (and would call 1/2 hour before), this was at 11 AM. At 5 PM I was still waiting and decided to call them. The dispatcher I spoke with had no idea of my issue - it was not in their system! I was then on hold for 20 minutes until they figured out who took my original call. They told me someone was now on the way. When the repairman arrived, he determined that the pump was broken! He told me that they were going to charge me $89 for a service call, even though I paid them$551 in March to fix the same issue. He recommended replacing the pump, putting in a water sensor which shuts off the system if water is on the floor and determined that my condenser unit was very dirty/clogged and needed to be cleaned. He talked me into their service plan for $24/month, so that I could get 15% off of all the work he did. I feel as though I was screwed over a little! I have to pay $24/month for at least a year ad that gets me 1 annual inspection, plus 15% off any work they have to do. I need to find another company who services Carrier HVAC systems who are recommended by Angie's List. I do have to say that the repairman did do a thorough job, but typically in my experience with this company, I don't get a repairman who really knows what they are doing. I would not recommend this company. I didn't use Angie's List when I originally chose them and will from now on!

Used Angies List deal for service visit and 1 lb. of refrigerant. Technician showed up within the window and took a look at the system. He found it to be leaking and suggested Easy Seal for $325 and refrigerant at $100/#. He said that this would have a seven month warranty - if the system was leaking again within seven months, they would give the full credit for the amount of the service towards a further repair or new system. He also said they could have an estimator come out to estimate a new system. I took that route and had an estimator come out a few days later The estimator gave me an estimate but suggested I take the offer given for repair and the seven month warranty. I called that day and the technician showed up the next day, repaired the system, recharged the refrigerant, and even did a small electrical update on the inside unit for free. The whole organization seems very professional and understanding of their customers - attempting to work with the customers so that everyone is happy - much different than another company I originally had look at the system. I'm hoping that the system continues to perform well or that they will stand behind their seven month warranty. So far, everything is great.

I purchased a fireplace and mantel in the middle of January, and the installation was finally finished on June 6! From the beginning the communication and customer service has been horrendous. My understanding was that the first appointment after the pre-site inspection would be to install the fireplace and mantel, but that was not possible for several reasons that were not explained to me. First, the gas line needed to be inspected by Washington Gas before the fireplace could be installed. But it didn't really matter, because the fireplace they brought had a big dent in it. AND, the mantel was the wrong size, even though they measured the space during the pre-site visit. The guy who ran the gas line ended up drilling a hole in my floor, so that the gas line was visible. I won't bore with all of the details, but suffice it to say that I have given up hours and hours of my time waiting for their people to come, and then when they get here they don't finish the job. Each time I have expressed my displeasure with the representative on the phone, but not once has anyone in a supervisory position called to offer me an apology or any compensation for the amount of my time they have wasted, other than a 1 year maintenance agreement. DO NOT use this company, they are very unprofessional and do not understand the meaning of customer service.

Contractor had to come out twice. Original work included in agreement was not done either trip. Staff seemed to not want to complete promised work. Different staff gave conflicting reports. Communication from office was not consistent.

The first technician they sent had no idea what he was doing. Despite my detailed explanation of the issues I was experiencing, he insisted there was nothing wrong with the unit. When the same issue repeated itself two hours after the technician left, I had to call them back to schedule a different, more experienced tech for another day. The second tech was very good...providing a comprehensive diagnosis of the issues along with pricing for the repair work. He also provided a quote for a new system, which I opted to go with. The installation went well, but the company totally ignored the credit card info I provided them and instead charged an old card I used for work I had done more than a year ago. This caused me all kinds of banking issues. I called them immediately, but their customer service representative didn't seem bothered by their error at all and refused to address the issue until the next business day.

Cyprus worked with me on scheduling when I wasn't available for the first hour of my scheduled window. Levi showed up, explained what he would be doing, and got to work checking out the indoor unit. He explained what he was testing as he did it and asked questions about what had been previously been done. He discovered that both the indoor and outdoor capacitors were bad based on some odd wiring done on the fan which he straightened out. The unit was also down 2 lbs of coolant which would have been $600 just on it's own without the deal. If I wasn't moving out of state, I'd make Cyprus my go-to HVAC service.

After contacting Washington Gas to start the process of switching from oil heat to natural gas, I contacted Cyprus Air to set up a quote. A technician soon came out and offered us a quote for a new high efficiency Ruud furnace and air conditioner along with some duct work for ~$10,000. This price was similar to the other quotes we received, but undercut by a few thousand so we decided to go with them. We chose to delay the install until early spring and continued through the winter with our current 28 year old oil furnace. When that furnace broke at Christmas time, I called Cyprus air to move along the switch ASAP and to repair the broken furnace. A technician came out to our house, 3 hours after they said he'd arrive and said it would be $1,475 to fix the furnace because the blower motor was broken and the control board needed to be replaced. Since we were already on the line for a $10,000 new system with them, I was very hesitant to pay this and decided to buy space heaters instead and wait until gas was installed. After he left, I began to research HVAC blower motors (normally I don't touch HVAC, but most other things I'll fix myself) and having taken electrical engineering courses in college, quickly realized this was a simple problem that I could probably fix. Since it was already broken and we were getting a whole new system I went for it. The control board was fine and I replaced the blower motor for $85. Back in working order. I understand a mark up for labor and insurance costs, but not to the tune of $1,400. After stating very clearly that our house did not have heat in December, it took two weeks before Cyprus got back to start the gas conversion process. Then they wanted to redo the quote, so they sent a new salesman. He said he'd get back to me by the next day to get things squared away. I never heard from them. Since I had fixed our heat by then and we had oil to burn, I waited for his call for two months before I contacted them. Then they wanted to come out to the house AGAIN with a duct specialist. Cyprus scheduled a time with me between the hours of 11AM and 1pm on a Friday and confirmed it by phone three separate times. When friday came, no one showed up and I got a call from the salesman at 1:15 saying he was an hour away. At this point, I was fed up with their business and fired them. I hadn't yet signed a contract or paid any money so I was free to walk. On the phone I told the salesman that I had another comparable offer and he told me to go with that company. I called the other HVAC company after getting off the phone with him and had a contract date set up for the following monday and they started installing within the week. The other company was more expensive, but I couldn't be happier that I switched from Cyprus. The lack of concern for my business by nearly everyone I talked to at Cyprus (beyond the salesman, he was nice and honest) was astounding. $10,000 is a lot of money and it took me weeks of deliberation before even deciding to do the conversion. On top of that, I told them I wanted to do a gas fireplace in the future for another $5,000. All in all, terrible terrible service from Cyprus. Do not use them. Spend a little more and go with a quality company that will do the work correctly and is interested in your business because it's obvious that Cyprus had no care for mine.

Of course on one of the coldest days out and snow falling rapidly our heater stopped working. We called Cyprus Air and they were able to come to our house within a few hours. The tech was able to fix the motor instead of replacing it. He saved us hundred of dollars. We will continue to use them as long as they continue great service like this.

Cyprus Air Cleaned our Furnace and we are very happy. The crew was very professional and polite. They looked after my home and made me feel very comfortable. Will use them again in the future.

We had a water pipe burst and our basement was flooded! We called Cyrus Air and they were able to consult us over the phone to stop the leaking and stop even more damage. When they came out it took them one hour to repair the pipe. They were also nice enough to extract the water. Thanks Cyprus!

They said that they don’t have the type of cleaning utility that can service my space pak air system. They were polite and professional. I would use them in the future for something that they could do for me.

Please read all previous reviews regarding PURCHASING and installing gas fireplaces. I wish I had. Many reviews with fireplace good reviews are for SERVICE on excisting systems - All bad reviews are for purchase and installation of NEW units. Purchased my new gas freplace Heat and Glow system on 2/21. Inspection took place 2/23. Then nothing. No calls. I called on 3/9 to get the unit installed. Installers to come on 3/20 between 8 - 10 am. Crew #1 Came at 10 am - worked until 430. Did not finish. Told me someone from office would call to reschedule. No one called. I called and insisted on first available. Promised date of 3/25 between 1 -4pm. Crew #2 arrived at 4:15 to install ducting. Crew #3 arrived 5:15.. Crew $2 left at 6:00 Crew #3 - 7pm still working. 7:30 finished. Now need county inspector to approve. Will wait for another call. All crews very polite but I never thought this would take 11 and a half man hours to complete so far.

They told me they don't work over three stories. I explained it was a wall unit inside a third story apartment in a ten story building. That killed it for them.

There was no charge today because we signed up for twice-yearly service calls. We pay $18.80?MOnth, sort of like an insurance policy. It really is a win/win for both of us. During spring and fall they porobably don't get as many service calls so its a good time to check equipment before it gets heavily used. I think of it like going to the dentist twice a year, to avoid trouble later on. We have been on this plan for 5 years now. If I am really lucky I get my favorite technician, Matthew. He is extremely knowledgeable plus it's nice to see a familiar face. The other great thing is he came on the early side of the four hour window. That made me very happy. If you are a member of the Cyprus Air Plan and you have a Heating or Cooling emergency, you are given priority. That is a big benefit. Another good thing is the fact they have an actual Brick- and- Mortar showroom, they are not just a phone number. I like that.

I was happy with the service they provided. They were informative about the process and we would not have known they were there if the machine wasn't running. They were quick, efficient and friendly.

The person who came out said I did not need the service at the time. They advised that I get the service done at a later date. The technician who came out was very professional. I had no problem scheduling initially.

The logs are great, however, we have had multiple issues with scheduling the installation and subsequent inspections. Worst customer service I have ever experienced. Issues: 1) The team that came to install the gas logs (after the line had already been installed) were over an hour late after they had given us a window of 0730-1600. The team was very rude and not apologetic. I actually asked them to leave and have us reschedule with another crew for installation because I wasn't comfortable with them in our home. 2) This one deserves its own category...we have had multiple issues with scheduling the final inspection. Multiple reasons have been given by Cyprus. I have taken off two days of work after scheduling the final inspections through Cyprus. Both times, nobody has showed to conduct the inspection. When calling Cyprus to see what happened, the first time I was told that the inspector saw that I had a "Beware of Dog" sign on my yard and that they were scared of dogs and thus didn't even try to complete the inspection. We were never called by the inspector to let us know. The second time, we were told that the inspection was cancelled by the inspector and we were never notified. Two days of leave wasted. Again, neither time were they apologetic and was told, "there's nothing we can do." 3) Cyprus was supposed to wait to charge the final payment for this installation on my credit card after the final inspection was completed. I checked my statement last month, and they ran the final charge on the installation was made even though they had not completed the final inspection which is a violation of their sales agreement/contract. I discourage anyone from using Cyprus Air mainly related to how many days of leave I have wasted and the stress of having to deal with their poor, unapologetic customer service. Otherwise, I love the logs but I regret not going with another company.

Mike S and Marcellas came and diagnosed issue very quickly and explained the issues very well. Needed parts replaced but was able to get at 15% discount due to signing up for yearly maintenance (which I had already decided to do prior to their arrival). Very happy with Mike S and Marcellas and would welcome them back to service the fireplace again next year! Thank you gentleman!

Servicemen were very professional,prompt, courteous, thorough and informative. Cyprus air has always been very responsive and scheduled someone to come out quickly.
