Went well the lead plumber had an helper/ apprentice with him. He observed / supervised him closely. Pointed out a caution we could take to prevent leaking into other units( we live in a condo) many of our neighbors have this fail safe. We had installed at a very competitive rate.

Went well. The big cost was 10 pounds of refrigerant.

George, owner's son, serviced it last year with hopes of limping it along and required 4 lbs Freon. Should have replaced it then, but we were in the middle of much needed renovations after purchasing the house and didn't have the money. Asked Gus, the owner, a lot of questions about how to lower my electric bill without breaking the bank. We have the typical split level issues, cold downstairs, hot upstairs. He answered all of them (while instructing his new employees) and they were thankfully economical. He also explained how to use the thermostat properly, yeh! I will be calling him later to install attic fans. He stressed the need to register with Carrier for the 10 yr warranty and how to ensure we get that full 10 yrs. I purchased a 5 yr maintenance contract for 2/yr service. $125 Angie's List discount. Paid half at free estimate visit on Friday, the rest with $625 maintenance after installation on Monday. Although he wanted to schedule Tuesday originally I explained my daughter's HS graduation and he accommodated. He had not deposited my 1st check. I definitely recommend him!

I picked this provider because they were not located that far from my employer which isn't helpful considering my employer is in Alexandria but I live in Woodbridge. The person I spoke with was knowledgeable and so very helpful. I would use this company in the future for sure.

Great and they they found a mouse nest with wires chewed through. Not only did they go back and get parts for same day replacement but the also went a got some mouse repellent. Above and beyond! Will be using for calls going forward

Call Cosmos in the morning and they were able to come to my house in early afternoon, diagnose problem and solve the issue (bad capacitor) all on-site. They provided a quote before starting the solution and ended up coming in $80 under the quote once the work was complete. Very satisfied and would definitely recommend and use them again!

First, when I called to book an appointment he tried to help me fix the problem over the phone - FOR FREE! Unfortunately that didn't work so made the appointment for the next morning. Arrived 15 minutes early, found the problem quickly and successfully repaired the unit. All work done in about an hour.

George can within two hours of my call. He was kind, diagnosed my problem (frozen system due to excessive debris), and stayed until the system was blowing cold air. I will definitely call again!

This company never contacted me as stated after I purchased their coupon. I waited until after my requested appointment days had past just to see if they would contact me. Only after contacting them did they schedule an appointment. Appointment was set for 3-4pm, and they showed up at 3:45pm without calling. The technician took pictures of my AC handler and told me I needed a new one. This is most likely true because it is very old, but regardless I ordered this coupon so he would clean my old unit. At some point he or his technician associate dropped a toolbox or something else on my hardwood floor which chipped it. I found this after the fact and no one said anything. I ended up with a quote for $5k to replace my AC, no idea if anything was cleaned, and a chip on my one year old refinished hardwood floors.

I called at 945 on a Saturday, and George was here by 1130. He diagnosed the problem, explained the fix, repaired the issue, and was courteous, friendly, patient, and fast. You can't ask for better from a service provider. Great work.

Never had problems, they're great. They have integrity they will not sell you something unless you really need it.They do what's best for the customer.

I am friends with the co-owners, Gus and George and they are amazing; they are great. I have used them twice a year since 2014. George is the son and knows his stuff. They do what is necessary without talking you into more stuff than you need. That's what I like. They came one time and had to do something extra. I can't remember what it was, but it was very affordable and George explained why it needed done. It was one of those things that if we spend $100 now then we won't have to spend $10,000.

Never had a problem with them. They care more about what I need than making a one-time sale.

They have good punctuality and are just nice guys in general.

They're genuinely nice guys. My system is in a closet that has a bunch of other stuff in it.They helped me move the stuff, so they could get to what they need to they helped me move it.They do a lot of extra things that they really don't need to do because they care about me as a person.

Setting up an initial appointment through the AngiesList.com website was painless. The technician, Gus, arrived the next day and provided us with a well-written estimate. As I am extremely busy at work and personal things, communication via the AngiesList.com website was a great plus, especially trying to handle it during my own time. I received quick and written responses to all of my inquiries from Cosmos Heating and Cooling. The technicians arrived to install my new heating and A/C unit the morning of a major snowstorm. The unit is working great and much more quieter than my previous unit. We would definitely recommend other individuals to Cosmos Heating and Cooling!

Mr. Cosmos showed up a few minutes early, which was perfect for me! He cleaned out the units and found everything in working order. He reminded me of ways to keep them clean. As usual, he and his family are very friendly, hard working, very efficient, and very knowledgeable. I highly recommend Cosmos Heating and Cooling Co.

Called me the next day and came over to prefer. This is less than 12 hours since I paid via AngieList. I inspected the work and it's very well performed. He went above and beyond. The last guy I used had me make a three months appointment. HIs guy is very quick which really help for somebody trying to sell a house.

They arrived quickly to provide a diagnosis and estimate of repairs needed, including cost and time. Their price was below what I expected and they got the whole job done in just a few hours. The guys were very friendly and professional. I would absolutely hire them in the future, and will be scheduling our annual HVAC service with them moving forward!

For first call, the son came out to take a look at why the air conditioning was failing to turn on. He found the a.c. filter was clogged and removed the filter. He advised us to leave it off for about 4 or so hours and replace the filter. He charged us $95 which is their standard house call price. The second time we needed service, the father came out. This time the heat wasn't coming on. He said it was again the filter being clogged. He said the battery in the thermostat was low and changed that as well. This time the price was double $190, even though the father did the same work as the son with the addition of changing a battery. My son paid them and when I later called to inquire why it was double the second visit, the son couldn't explain why and said he would have his father return my call. The father never returned my call.

Mr. Cosmos came a little early which was perfect for me. He went down the back outside stairs and reminded me to keep the area clear of leaves so that the drain will be able to work properly. He cleaned out the heater and after checking it out said that it was still in good working order. He checked out the outside unit and also declared it in good working order, and also reminded me to keep it clear of debris. I was very happy with the service. The Cosmoses are friendly, efficient, very knowledgeable, and go above and beyond.

I had purchased the one where they come out and do the conditioning and inspection and all that. When they came out to do it, they wouldn't accept it. They said, "Oh we have work to do and it doesn't count." So I returned it. I haven't had a bad experience with anybody on Angie's List, this was the first time. The tune-up thing was $74, but they returned it for me. I needed a capacitor and he replaced it, which I had done with another company before. He charged me $496. So the service call, which he said was going to be $95, ended up being $200. It was crazy. I was like, "Oh, I hope nobody else ever uses these guys." He did the job, but, not what I expected. It was expensive for the work that he did. The quality of work was fine. He did come out that same day. However, he was very rude about it. He was like, "I don't even know how you got on my list." He did say between 1:00 and 4:00, he showed up at five minutes to 4:00. The professionalism was terrible, and he was the owner. If I had nobody else, I would use them.

George checked the thermostat, basement HVAC, then the outside A/C unit. Diagnosed it to be the capacitor, wanted to charge approximately $400 for the capacitor and approximately another $90 for labor, this does not include the $95 service call fee. After being told the capacitor price and me looking it up on a very popular website for under $25 NEW shipped (45/5 370V AC capacitor). I declined the service and accepted the service call fee. Sorry I can deal with a slight mark up, but that was outrageous. Wife will not be happy until she hears about the money saved. George was very nice about it, A+ for his attitude. He was running late which he notified by text, and left a screw out of the HVAC system, and closet door slightly askew, but these things I can take care of. Sorry, I just can't give a good rating due to the price of the part, maybe its a common price gouging mark up. But it's not one I wan't to spend another $95 to hear from another repairman.

Called Cosmos in a pinch based on Angie's list recommendations. This company is family owned and you know who you are dealing with. I explained that this is a rental property and I live 40 minutes away. George, over the phone, told me what to do in preparation for the service call. My unit had iced up so much it sounded like an ice maker when it started to melt. By the time George arrived the unit was ready the service. George checked everything and explained things to me along the way. The system was recharged up and running in an hour. The end results made both me and my tenants very happy. I will be calling Cosmos in the future and signing a service agreement.
