I can really recommend Cosmos. It's a small, dedicated company and George and his staff were very responsive to us from getting the estimate to completion of the work. We did our homework and got three estimates. Cosmos was exactly where I thought it should be for the work we were getting done. The thing I like most is that he did not try to oversell us- he evaluated the specs of our house and system and made a recommendation on what kind of equipment would greatly increase the airflow. It did not have to be a complete replacement and that saved us money. The work was very good and we are happy with the system. Will use them again.

Very professional, phone answered by one of the principals at 6:20 AM! Showed up on time, but didn't do the work as another company (my husband had called earlier) had shown up and was just finishing up. Very knowledgeable, fine people to deal with, will call them again!

The service went very well. The son ( I forget his name) showed up about 40 min. after calling me to say he was coming over. He was friendly with a firm handshake. He asked where the thermostat was, checked it, and then asked to be led to the outdoor unit. When he came back in, he told me I needed a new capacitor, which was not a surprise, since after 2 storms ago, it had blown then. He looked at the heating/ac unit and explained a few things. The ticket was for t he new capacitor, 2 lbs of freon and labor. The price is a bit high, but for good work, immediate service, and friendly people I am willing to pay a higher price.

Given the 100-degree temperature, and the demand on a/c firms' time, we were grateful for how fast Cosmos responded. The replacement unit cost more than we had estimated, but we did not go with the cheapest option. To his credit, Cosmos did not engage in any high-pressure tactics to get us to spend more money or to have additional work done. He outlined the options and then let us decide. The replacement took several hours, and the crew was very neat. I feel that we got our money's worth in terms of quality and professionalism. We would definitely use Cosmos again!

He was terrific. Gave accurate pricing for the visit prior to arriving. He didn't make any extreme promises. He managed to fix the relay that was burned up outside. He never came into my residence. However, he warned me about the rather extreme age of my unit and told me to be prepared to replace it in the near future. Several days later we began having difficulty with the distributor fan on the indoor part of our unit. The problem was intermittent. I called him. He said to call back if the problem worsened. It finally stopped working and he said to turn off the unit immediately so as not to burn out the piece he already replaced. He came the same day and managed to jury-rig a fan to fit my furnace so that I wouldn't have to replace the entire unit at this time. I'm happier with this company's service than any provider I have used in the last 30 years.

My AC went out while I was out of town. Came home to a VERY hot house. Cosmos came the same day, even though I had never used them and had no existing contract. (Found them on Emily's List). They were great!! Very professional, efficient, and fast. Will definitely use them again, and highly recommend!

I had recently replaced my thermostat and the AC wasn't working. George at Cosmos was able to arrive at my home within hours of my call and walked me through the process of solving this issue. He determined the temperature of air coming out of my system was 20 degrees below acceptable levels. He then verified if the new thermostat was compatible (it was) and determined the issue (I needed freon). George gave me the costs up front, which I appreciated, and swiftly provided his services, giving me pointers regarding what to look out for in the future and how to tell if the freon is low./if I have a leak. He also showed me that the AC was working as the air temperature had indeed fallen to acceptable levels. I would absolutely go with Cosmos in the future. George is an exemplary professional with excellent communication skills. I felt comfortable about the resolution and am enjoying my AC once again. I also like that this is a family business. I have had them come out twice. I thought it was great that he didn't charge me the labor to fix the broken pipe. The one thing that I love about this company is if you call them on a Friday, they will come that day if you need them. They are very convenient, good about when they will come, on time, clean up after themselves and they won't sell you stuff you don't need. Last fall they found some mold and offered a light that would take care of the problem. My husband decided to clean it with bleach and the technician told us that was an option too. I didn't feel pressured to go with his solution. Both times they have come, they have been excellent. They are cheaper than the company I used before.

Cosmo's was prompt and professional. They helped to discover issues that caused our AC to stop operating and then services the unit. They were professional and helpful.

They team was very courteous, on time and didn't leave a mess. They gave me advice, without pressure on additional work needed in the fall.

When I called him, he came within a few minutes to do the job. He finished the job within the hour. The price was reasonable. We haven't had any problems with the unit since he repaired it. I would give him an A++ for responsiveness.

The guys at Cosmos were awesome to work with from start to finish. I can only echo the emails of all the other writers - they were on time, they knew what they were talking about, and they did the work quickly and efficiently. The work area was spotless when they left. I actually waited several months to write this, because I wanted to make sure the work was done correctly. It was - it's perfect. I bought the most expensive system, and I'm not the kind of guy who normally does that. But I intend to live here a while, and I wanted to do it right. I'm very glad I did. The system is incredibly quiet, and the house has no weird "cold spots" anymore. Plus it's been saving us money compared to last year (true, it's been warmer outside, but I think the greater efficiency will be noticeable when the bills come around). If you are shopping around, wondering what distinguishes this company from another, I obviously can only comment on Cosmos. But you can't go wrong with them. Very professional and honest. They don't try to "upsell" you - if you don't need it, they won't tell you that you do. And if they tell you something's a good idea, listen to them! Oh, and very hard working - they didn't even stop for lunch! They had taken out my entire old system and put in another one by, like, 3:00 PM. Incredible.

Bought a coupon for a service call from Angie's, and completely forgot about it until it expired. No problem, one call to Angie's they contacted the company and owner agreed to honor it anyway. Called them and scheduled appointment. They were a little late because of the traffic. When arrived they were courteous and professional- checked the unit and it's performance and did not charge me anything above the coupon price already paid. Also, recommended a contractor for another job that I need to be done. Very positive experience overall. Peace of mind for a $50- not bad.

Excellent! Very impressed with Cosmo's. Extremely quick response, fair price. Called in the morning at 8 after checking out Angies List. Received call back within minutes - showed up at 930. Replaced igniter and cleaned furnace. Professional and high quality. Great experience. After 10 years of low quality service - Cosmo's is our new "go to" company for furnace repair.

Excellent service, would recommend Gus to anyone. Called at 10:00 am Saturday, asked for same day service, got it (on time and very professional). Gus explained what he was doing as he did it (nice touch), and proposed a fix that only required maintenance and not new parts (I'm no expert in heating systems, but I think someone else could have proposed a more costly fix that required new parts and more service). Very reasonable price. Go with Gus.

Gus was punctual, competent, professional, and responsive (on a day when the streets were icy). He checked and cleaned and serviced my units (with me asking questions and watching). He was good at explaining things, giving me advice, and seemed to do a fine job. My sense is that he is a thorough professional and knows what he's doing. He gave me advice about things I had to watch for. I liked the work enough that I paid in advance for A/C service in the spring.

I can't even begin to describe the difference that it has made in my home to have had the air ducts cleaned by Cosmos as well as having the humidifier installed. I used to suffer from allergies and congestion all the time and now I hardly ever get sick or feel this way. Cosmos and Gus have made my home a better place to live!!! I also called Gus from Cosmos as an emergency call because my tenant was having a major leak out of the water heater in my rental home and Gus and his team immediately responded and helped me solve the problem in a professional, courteous manner and within my budget! I can't tell you enough how grateful I am to know Gus and his team. I highly recommend them to anyone that needs his services.

Mr. Christofi and his team were most professional and quick! After it was determined I needed a new unit, I was presented with a no pressure estimate, which was as equal to or more competitive than other competitors in the area. Once I signed the contract, they were ready to install within a day (though bad weather delayed the project by two days). Mr. Christofi and his team were at my home on time and completed the work very quickly. They were quiet and cognizant of their surroundings as they worked and cleaned up the entire area once they were finished, which was very much appreciated. All aspects of the installation were explained very clearly to me, including the warranty, service information, thermostat programming, etc. I would strongly recommend Cosmos Heating & Cooling to others as I've had nothing but good experience with them. They're a family-owned and operated business, and do great work!!

When I called I was treated with courtesy and professionalism. I was told that he could have a technician to my home between 1 and 3 and they arrived at 3:10 (not bad since we were coming off from a 3 day weekend!) The 2 tech's were extremely polite and went right to work. Within 45 minutes they had the problem corrected and even went the extra mile and vacummed the standing water on the garage floor! When they finished they presented the bill to me and it was lower than the other companies wanted to charge JUST for the privilege to come to my home! They explained when I would need to do preventive maintenance on the unit again and were just extremely polite! This kind of service is sorely needed by the public - the other 4 companies I called did not even have the courtesy to return my call! I have recommende them already to my neighbor and will continue to do so in the future! Thank you for taking such good care of me!

Overall, my experience with Cosmos Heating and Cooling has been stellar.

Contacted Cosmos around 9:30 a.m. and described the problem. Gus told me he could be there within an hour and also explained the fee structure, which was $100 diagnostic fee and then additional hourly fee. He and Douglas arrived as promised and surveyed the unit in my closet. At first Gus thought he may have to cut the coolant line in order to remove the coils, so he climbed a 36' foot ladder to get on the roof of my condo building. After surveying the AC unit and seeing it was in good condition, he decided that a thorough cleaning of the coils without removing them from the closet was the best choice. He started working right away and identified the problem: coils were covered with drywall dust from construction I had done previously. They got to work brushing and rinsing the coils with a chemical solvent and water. Afterward the coils looked much better and and the leaking stopped. Two weeks later and everything running well. I called on Wednesday evening, requesting an estimate. They arrived on Thursday morning, evaluated the situation, and provided me a verbal and written quote for $400, including discounts. I requested that they perform the repairs the next day - in anticipation of Hurricane Irene - and they did so. The end price was precisely as quoted. The repairs are - so far - working, as my AC vents did not leak during the storm this weekend (and they most certainly leaked during previous large rainstorms).

My a/c was blowing warm air and I called Cosmo a/c on friday. Very prompt and professional. Gus was able to come out on a saturday in the morning and repair the unit. Turns out one of the fuses was burnt out and now it's replaced.The a/c blows nice cool air. Very happy with the service
