Excellent! We first called Gus to get an annual furnace check-up. He and his assistant arrived early and did a thorough cleaning of our unit. Shortly before Christmas, we smelled natural gas (the added sulphur) in the basement. When we called Cosmos, they said they would be at our house in a few hours since they were so far from our location. They actually showed up within the hour. A cap had come loose on one of the gas lines. It hadn't been installed properly, so Gus and his assistant fixed the problem correctly and brought it back to code. $200. On Christmas Eve, our water heater stopped working. Once again, Cosmos showed up promptly and replaced the old thermocouple. $200. The Cosmos sticker will remain on our heating and cooling systerm. We will call them again for any future repair.

We called Cosmos when our heat pump stopped working properly. They came out the same day a few hours later and diagnosed the problem within a few minutes. They provided us an estimate for the work and replacement parts and returned the next morning to replace the blower motor and capacitor. They fixed the unit and had it up and running again soon.

Gus arrived the next day on schedule and replaced the evaporator coil and condensing unit and charged up the system. The AC worked well during the first season. My only complaint is that Gus did not seal the sheet metal enclosing the coil with the result that air is that conditioned air is escaping into the mechanical closet. Gus promised to schedule a return visit but has not done so during the last 4 months. This is the reason for my "B" overall rating. I am concerned that he will not be responsive if the new unit malfunctions. Gus did finally return to seal up the indoor evaporator coil enclosure to prevent air leakage.

The representative called me quickly after the initial contact was made and provided the information I wanted. I am simply waiting until after the holidays to make a decision on which company to use. However, since they were so professional, and responded in a timely manner which is important to me, I hope to go with Cosmos.

The experience was excellent. They had an opening two days after I called and came promptly on schedule. The worker immediately went and inspected the heating pump and identified the problem. After a few minutes, he came in with a quote setting out the various costs. I agreed and then he quickly replaced the part and inspected the system. It worked well. He was polite and efficient. Most importantly, he did not push us to purchase a new system but advised us on how to maintain our older system.

The job went fine. I called on Monday and the work was completed on Wednesday.

The two men who helped us out were utterly professional, responsive, courteous, and able to help us out in a pinch (we'd lost heat during a pretty cool spell). We'd hire them again in an instant, and recommend them to anyone.

They came out within an hour of our phone call, and performed a complete inspection of our current air conditioning system. We were given estimates for 3 different units that would work for our home. After we made our selection they returned within a day with the new unit and had it installed within 4 hours. We were very impressed with their efficiency, courtesy, and punctuality. They put tarps down over my floors and rugs to protect them from any dirt and debris. Would we use them again.....absolutely!! We've already recommended them to friends who have also used them to great satisfaction.

Off and on for the past 3 three years, when we've turned our heat on, the furnace has made this horrible squeaking noise. We've been putting up with it but decided to deal with the problem this year. I called Cosmos on 10/16 and they said they could have someone at the house the next day, between 11am and 1pm. George arrived at 11:30am and was able to diagnose the problem quickly. He gave me several options for addressing it but didn't push the more expensive options or their service plans. I opted to go for diagnosis and repair rather than replacement as he said that the parts were still pretty new. He tweaked the induction motor, cleaned the condensation trap, vacuumed up around the furnace and put everything back into place, all within an hour. If the problem comes back, he said to call them and they'd be back out to fix it the same day. Very pleased with how efficient he was and the cost. I would highly recommend Cosmos and will use them again.

They did good work and I ended up buying a warranty through them as well.

George was prompt, courteous, and very professional. I'm a new home owner, so I followed him around as he did the tune up of my AC & furnace. He helped answer all of my questions and taught me a lot about our system and how to maintain it. I really felt like it could trust him. A+ overall!

They are priced very well. They also went over all the advantages of doing the replacement in the spring, like rebates and tax exemptions. The $7500 was after I received a rebate. He was very good at explaining all the options to me for my house (which is an 1800 sq. foot ranch house). About a week later, they came to install my system. They did a great job with the install and cleaned up any messes. Everything has worked great all summer.

They were fantastic. I called them early in the morning and they responded within 15 minutes to me. They came out to the house within probably an hour. They were the only heating and furnace company that told us that despite the fact our furnace is 18 years old, that it still has a good amount of life in it since we have replaced so much in the past that a lot of the furnace is now new. Most people had been trying to convince us to buy a new furnace because of the age of the furnace.

Everything was great. I would be comfortable calling them again.

Our 10-year-old whole house AC unit stopped working in 90 degree August heat on a Saturday. We called Cosmos based on positive Angie's list reviews, and they did not disappoint. They were the only service available to do a weekend estimate for non-contract customers. The owner himself came to our house Sunday. He initially tried to repair the old unit, but once he determined that it was beyond economic repair, he did not charge me for the parts he had used in the attempted repair. He supplied me with several estimates for replacement units. I did not decide on the replacement unit until early Monday morning but once I did Cosmos was there in 2 hours and completed the entire job within 4 hours of my call. I will call them for future maintenance and would highly recommend them.

We received his bid (the final bid) on Saturday, accepted it on Sunday, and the units were installed on Tuesday. We had questions about permits needed, service calls, warranty, etc. and Gus was always available to answer our questions. It helped that we had received two other bids and through that process had become familiar with the different types, models, and features of the heating/air conditioning units.

They were fine. I think it was a reasonable price, because one person who had come out a long time ago said that it was $2000 to fix that, which was ridiculous. They seemed competent. I liked them; they were friendly. They cleaned up their mess.

Our 16 year old AC system broke, and with it being mid-August in DC, we needed a replacement quickly. They had a whole new system installed and running within three days of our first calling them. They were friendly, knowledgeable, professional, very neat and tidy, and very low-pressure. They did not try to sell us on bigger / better / costlier equipment, just what we needed. The were quite punctual and did quality work. No complaints at all.

I spoke directly with Gus throughout scheduling. He was flexible and accommodated time/date changes when I needed them to come sooner than originally planned. He and his helper came on time and promptly fixed the problem. He explained what's going on, gave recommendations for the future, and answered my questions about my ac system. He ddin't try to upsell me. In terms of price, i'd say he's comparable to what others have charged for a similar job.Overall, I had a pleasant experience. I feel like I can rely ont hem on the future if something comes up.

A/C stopped working on Saturday. I called to schedule an appointment, they answered on Saturday and asked if I wanted emergency repair or to wait until Monday morning. I said to wait, so they scheduled me for 9am. They arrived promptly at 9am, immediately started to diagnose the problem. Quickly confirmed what needed to be done and provided an estimate for repair and service maintenance. They completed all of the work, including cleaning up the work area, in about an hour. Both technicians were friendly, polite and respectful of our house. I was very impressed with their work and would highly recommend them.

We came back from vacation late at night to a hot house and my entry level troubleshooting only determined that the A/C unit was getting power and it wasn't the fuses. Signed up for Angie's list that night and saw that Cosmos was very well rated. Called at 8am on a Sunday morning, Gus was here by 9. It seriously felt like a family member (who was extremely knowledgable about HVAC) came over to help me. He found the problem quickly (a switch which seems to have melted over the years) and had a replacement part for my 20+ year old A/C unit in his truck. Once running he noticed that the outside A/C unit was blowing much hotter air than he expected (it being a mild morning) and asked if I had a hose nearby. He proceeded to use the hose to spray the bottom of the unit (which I had no idea should be cleaned) and dirty water just poured out. After turning the A/C back on the outside unit blowed noticably cooler air. He also saw the metal filters inside our house had a few months of buildup and urged me to clean them monthly and suggested it would likely make a noticable change in my cooling/heating costs. I would use Cosmos again in a heartbeat and would recommend him to all.

George arrived at precisely the time the appointment was scheduled for and looked clean and professional. He diagnosed the problem quickly (the pipe from the A/C pan to the register on the laundry room floor was clogged), fixed it, and also performed much-needed maintenance on the outdoor A/C unit. The whole thing took under an hour and I was pleased the repair didn't cost thousands of dollars. He also told me ways to prevent this from happening in the future - which is the primary reason I called in the first place (having read he did this for another Angie's List customer). I also received $20 off the bill by mentioning the Angie's List coupon. George genuinely cared that I was happy with the service he provided!
