They never called back to set up an appointment.

I left a voice mail message with the provider, but the call was never returned. I did not call again.

First I called several times and received a call back and scheduled an appointment. Never showed up for appointment. Called and emailed again and came out on 11/6 Wednesday. Said he would call me by Friday the latest to schedule time to be done. Never called me back. Have called 2 to 3 times a week. Sent several emails and no response. If how Christian's Painters treat their customers is any indication of the work they would perform, no thanks. There is no excuse for ignoring customers.

Chris was quick to initially follow up, came by the house to look at the job. I wanted a bit more than the $100 Big Deal included, so we agreed up on the price for some additional work. He also provided some helpful advice about wall preparation and the best type of paint for me to get. (I was removing the wall paper and didn't want him to do the job until I had completely removed all of the wall paper and residue.) He said that this would not be a problem. The last contact was October 8th. I finished the surface preparation and put on a coat of oil based primer and bought the paint for the walls, trim and ceiling before calling, as I promised I would do. I have repeatedly called and emailed over the past month, but have heard absolutely nothing back from him. After repeatedly hearing nothing, I left a final message. I was quite clear that I much preferred to give him a strong rating on Angie's list after he had done the job and completed it as promised, but that if he continued to fail to respond, I'd have no choice but to give him a bad review and ask for my money back. I also made it clear that I was not pressing to get the work done on a particular date, I just wanted to talk with him and get a date scheduled so I could block off that date. I further told him that I could be flexible, since I often work out of my home and if he had an opening and wanted to come over on very short notice, the odds were good that I would be around and he could use this fairly small job to fill in if something I never heard back from him and have instead requested that my payment for the Big Deal be refunded.

I have called and emailed the provider several times since the purchase, with no response. I understand that he may very well be quite busy, but his failure to contact me over a two-month period is entirely unacceptable. My only recourse at this point, it seems, is to get a refund.

It was terrible. I bought a Big Deal from the provider for an interior painting job, based on the high number of A reviews. However, I have contacted them 3-4 times over the last month to set up a time for the service. I have never received a return phone call or any communications from the provider. At this point, I just want my money back.

He came by to do an estimate and disappeared. I have called several times. Nice guy, have no idea what to do.

Provider came for estimate within a few days from purchase and we agreed to schedule for 11/18. I left messages to him a few times to reschedule but never heard back. On 11/18 he didn't call or show up.

Member had contact with service provider, service provider was a no show twice and this member would like to have their Big Deal refunded or have a similar/equal deal found for them to have this work done.

I thought he did a good quality job.

Christian provided a comprehensive painting and repair job to my daughter's 12x11 room. He moved furniture in the room away from the walls, removed an old wallpaper border, patched and made minor repairs to the drywall, applied 2 coats of paint to the walls and painted the trim and ceiling. When finished the furniture was returned to its original location, the blinds were reinstalled and the room was vacuumed. He and his assistant arrived on time and were completely finished within 8 hours. They were very professional, and the results are perfect. I would definitely hire Christian's Painters again- their work is excellent and the price is very reasonable. A great value all around.

Chris and another painter showed up on time and completed the job over 2 days. He spent a lot of time making sure the job was just right. I have worked with many painters because I am in property management and Chris is an excellent combination of fair price and top notch work.

Purchased, responded to purchase and visited home, never provided further estimate, never responded to communications.

We agreed to have him come out in November. He didn’t respond to my telephone calls and emails. I couldn’t confirm whether he was coming or not.

Chris and Ronald from Christian's Painters painted the bathroom, re-attached a large bannister to a staircase wall, and repaired a large whole in one of our basement walls. They accomplished everything in one day, and it all looks great. We're very happy with the work, and will use them again in the future for some more upcoming painting jobs.

I purchased a Big Deal for $99 for one room of interior painting. I purchased it late in the evening on October 6. I awoke the next morning to find an email from Chris contacting me to set up an appointment. I called him that day and we arranged for him to come out to my house to look at the space. He was at my house a few days later (appointment was arranged at a day/time that was convenient for me). The Big Deal fine print clearly indicated the $99 was for walls only and did not include trim. I did not need window trim or base trim painted but did want a chair rail around the room painted - I was told upfront that would be an additional $25. We picked a date for the work - Chris was in high demand because of the deal, but when I asked if we could get the painting done by the end of the month because I had guests coming the first weekend in November, he readily accommodated me with an October appointment. On the day of the appointment, I got a call from Chris at 8 am saying he was about a half-hour out. There had been a bit of confusion about whether I was supposed to buy the paint or whether he would, so I did not have it. He asked me for the name/address of a local paint store and he went to pick up my paint (I had a sample I was able to give him so there was no confusion) with no hassle at all. (I had to go to work but he told me just to leave the sample outside my front door and he would take care of it.) Chris came by himself and spent the day painting. (My babysitter was home and told me he was right on time, and she was also totally comfortable with him in the house.) I was going from a darker color to a lighter one, and Chris had a great eye for how many coats were required to make the walls look great. He had estimated I would only need a gallon of paint (it's a small room) but he ultimately decided a second one was necessary - I looked at the walls and completely agreed with him. We might have been able to get away with one but 2 coats was definitely the right call. He went right back to the paint store to get more and came back and finished the job. This happened to be on Halloween day and I have young kids - once they were home from school there was definitely a lot of activity and commotion in the house, but Chris was great - it didn't bother him at all and he was pleasant and friendly. Ultimately, we were thrilled with the job Chris did. He was right on time, was very flexible about getting the paint, had a great eye, was easy and pleasant to have in the house, and the room looks wonderful. I will absolutely use Chris again in the future. The only suggestion I would have is that Chris do a phone call a day or two before the appointment to confirm. I had some confusion about whether I was supposed to buy the paint and sent him an email a day or two before the appointment to ask but did not get a reply. Had I heard from him I could have cleared that up and had the paint ready to go. (It also could have potentially been an issue as I wanted to have a color match done from a Restoration Hardware paint color, and there was a chance that the paint store might not have had the right color number to do it - had that happened I would not have been able to get the paint without more of a hassle, so again, it would have been good to be able to pin that down with Chris a fews days in advance.) While not hearing from him disturbed me a bit before the appointment, Chris was so prompt on the day of the appointment and did such a great job and was so flexible about getting the paint for me that it ended up being only a minor point that didn't impact the job at all. This was a GREAT deal - for the room and the chair rail and 2 gallons of paint it only cost me about $175 dollars - yet it looks as good as rooms I've had painted for a lot higher cost. This deal was well worth it.

No Show! We scheduled the work for 8:00 a.m., Friday, November 8th, I even sent an email to him confirming the date and the amount I was to pay extra for the ceiling, etc. I purchased the materials, moved the furniture from the room, took down the curtains and took the day off from work. Then I waited, he was a no show. I called the 800 number, no response. I have sent emails and no response at all. Now I have a room that is not painted all furniture is removed and it will be 3 weeks before Thanksgiving. This great "deal" cost me a day from work, $99.00 and a huge mess in my house.

I purchased the offer for $99 for a room. They called to set up an estimate but I wasn't available until the week of the 28th. They said they would call me back then to do it. I called every day the week of the 28th but no-one answered either number and no-one returned my calls. I gave them a D because they did make the initial contact but then no follow-up.

Bedroom walls, trim, closet and doors. It was a small project and he did it right. We'll definitely use him again.

Chris was very responsive to coming out and providing an estimate for additional work needed that was not covered by the "deal." However, after one call saying the work could be done sometime the week of 11 November 2013, Chris has not responded to multiple emails to confirm that he can do the work that week, and he has not provided the business license and insurance information required for us to schedule the work with our condominium association.

Called in a timely fashion and came out after cancelling once. Professional manner. I showed him two other jobs I would like estimates on. Said he would e-mail me estimates and would pick up the paint for the big deal job which I thought he could get to the week of the 23rd. However, I e-mailed twice as I was planning to have other work done and I called recently and never got a response back. I was very disappointed as I thought it would lead to me getting more painting done.

Christian made an appointment to survey the room we needed painting. He quoted the cost and told us what type of paint should be used and what furniture should be moved. He answered all of our questions and set a date and time to return to do the work. He arrived on time and thoroughly prepared the room for painting to include a whole room drop cloth and the repair of any holes. He also sealed the cracks between the baseboard and wall prior to painting the room. He applied 2 coats of paint to the walls and one coat to the ceiling. We provided the paint and had selected a ceiling white for the ceiling and a neutral color for the walls. Christian worked efficiently and cleaned up completely after he was finished. We were left with a brand new room.

I had a number of special requirements for this paint job. Because my wife is extremely sensitive to paint fumes, I needed the work done on a specific date (when she was away on business) and I needed to use a specific paint (zero VOC and odor). We also wanted to use three different (contrasting) colors in the bedroom and stairway. None of these requirements were problems for Chris. He and his assistant came on the appointed morning and were finished by late afternoon the same day. They did a great job with the painting, were extremely careful and thorough with masking and drop cloths and treated the house as if they themselves lived there. I am extremely happy with the results and will definitely call them again for additional work.

I called the company before I purchased the deal from Angie?s list, just to be sure the time availability meets my schedule, got response from Christian shortly and soon he came by to check out theroom and scheduled Oct 19 between 7-8am as the day he will come by and do the job. I cleaned the room and make sure everything was in order at the night before (remove all clothes, boxes, etc), and since the appointment was early, I purposely went to bed early on Friday night, so I will have the energy to keep up on Saturday, woke up at 7am and getting ready, 8am - nothing happen, assuming running late, 9am, no text, no calls..Nothing and finally I send him a text wondering if he is still coming. Few mins later he told me he will have to reschedule? can't you tell me the night before??? I assumed something came up and when I ask for the next available date, he said he will check and let me know, 7 days later, still not hear back from him. I'm not sure if this company still exists

Christian returned phone calls promptly. He arrived on time and did a very professional job on the bedroom.
