+ -1 morePoor craftsmanship. Patchy carpet job.. shows lines and you can see the mistakes. Had to quote several times to get the square footage correct. They also blew out my drywall while installing the carpet. It ruined my handrail and ripped it out of the wall. After contacting CarpetLand, they told me they would fix it repeatedly and ended up ignoring me. Ignore the decent pricing and go elsewhere.

+ -1 moreGreat. They actually came earlier than I expected--two days early. Fortunately, I was home and able to move the furniture.
Description of Work: Needed our master bedroom carpeted. There was no prior carpet, so they had to put down tack strips and take out some other moulding.

+ -1 moreThe original installation seemed to be all right, but now the upstairs carpeting is buckling in 4 places. While it isn't within the 1-year warranty period, NO new carpet is expected to buckle that quickly (my previous carpeting lasted 20 years with no problems). The repair was estimated at $400, and Carpetland had the NERVE to require a 50% deposit. This is for a repair job that does not require the advance purchase of any materials--a repair that I should not have needed in the first place! The proper response to my call would have been, "We're sorry this happened, and we will make it right at NO charge to you."
Description of Work: Three years ago, Carpetland Alexandria installed new wall-to-wall carpeting for the entire second story of my house. Now the hall carpeting is buckling in four places, keeping doors from closing, etc.
