Carpet Outlet is FANTASTIC and if there was a rating above A, they'd get it. They removed the carpet from the living/dining room and stairs, restored the hardwood, and put in a stair runner. The work crew arrived on time, were polite and industrious, and swiftly cleaned up debris (to keep dust from spreading, they hung plastic sheets from the ceiling/walls). This is the second time Carpet Outlet has done work at our home. Now we need to carve out the time to get some rugs from ... you guessed it ... Carpet Outlet.
Description of Work: Carpet removal, floor refinishing, runner installation.

I'm not sure of the cost as it all went thru an insurance claim. It was not a smooth situation. It didn't go well at all. After all was said and done, they came out to try to correct the original problem, you reached a point in the carpet where you could hear crackle, crackle, underneath. There was no way I was going to bring them back in and rip it all up and try to figure out what was under there. When it's a party of the house that's not used on a continual basis, when you're on a limited budget, you are more careful with your money. The insurance company acted like they were going to handle the whole thing. It just cut off at the wrong time. If I'd been more vigilant, we could've said we don't like how this company works. When they had to replace the carpet and molding, that's where we ran into trouble. I don't know if we would have had any other options. Once the restoration company takes over, it's kind of out of your hands. This didn't work out well for us. With insurance claims, sometimes people are cutting corners. I don't know what they would be like if a customer just came in and hired them. It took a bit for them to finish. They didn't respond quickly. Mold had set in. It was interesting. There was only a certain amount of money allotted for the baseboards and carpet. I'm thinking the cost was around $1,000. Of course the deductible had to be paid first. The workers were nice guys but what they thought they were supposed to be doing was different than the man that came out and orchestrated the whole thing, you know you're in trouble. The workers even said that he never should have said things could be done that way.

Excellent. I needed to get the wood stairs carpeted because our aging dog was slipping on the wood. Mona helped me choose the carpeting and was very patient with me when I changed my mind and then changed it back again! The person who installed the carpet was extremely competent and very professional.
