Scott and Joshua showed up just on time and were polite and professional. I had guests at the time and was trying to get breakfast for them and also supervise the electrical work. Both guys were very understanding and only asked me questions when they absolutely needed to know something. The work was done quickly, cleanly and very well. Joshua even got a map out and showed my guests a few places in the DC area that he recommended they visit! The price was reasonable compared to some of the other quotes we got, and they cleaned up after themselves without any fuss at all. I highly recommended Becker Electric and also their employees Scott and Joshua.

a fantastic company!! Another contractor had replaced paneling with drywall and must have twisted the plug when they put everything back together. I called Becker about 11 at night- left a message that I had a short and they called me back the next morning and had the problem identified and fixed by 8 am.

We had a fairly simple list of items from a home inspection that we asked for an estimate on. Becker was referred to us by a builder friend. We were also impressed by the ratings on Angies list.Our initial experience was positive. They sent an estimator out who went through the house. We had provided a list of exactly what we wanted done. The estimator provided an estimate that we thought was far more than reasonable. I have done much electrical work myself, but the purchaser wanted a licensed electrician. The estimate included several items that were not on the original list. We had a difficult purchaser and did not want to bring attention to anything else and of course we did not want to pay for unwanted work. The estimate was $920. We called and emailed Becker about the estimate and over 5 days received no response. As we had a closing deadline we chose another top rated Angies list electrician. He came out very quickly - worked the list exactly and presented us a bill for $245. Then we received an email from Becker stating that they would not do any less than what was on their estimate and further we now had to call with a credit card and pay the amount in full before they would schedule the work.

Came on time, worked very quickly, and did an excellent job at a very reasonable price. We were very pleased with their service.

They were great, arriving early and working very quickly. Two electricians came together so they were able to knock out several small projects fast. All the work was completed in less than an hour and everything was fixed perfectly. I would highly recommend them.

I am completely satisfied with Becker Electric Co. The people were responsive, competent and professional. At the site inspection the representative recommended the fixtures required for the installation; Becker Electric could provide all indoor fixtures and advised where I could purchase the outdoor light fixture. There was no cost for the estimate visit. A project proposal was sent the next day and the project was scheduled as soon as I returned the agreement. The electricians were punctual, understood the requirement, and completed the installations quietly and neatly. Follow up service was required for the outside lamp; it was fixed in five minutes. At that event, the electrician showed me how to adjust and test the lamp settings; information I asked but was not provided by the first electrician. Regardless, I will use the Becker Electric Co. for future electrical needs and recommend their service.

It went great. They showed up on time and prepared and I didnt have to re-explain what I wanted which was good. They were like two attic commandos with knee pads and immediately fixed damage wires that had chewed through. I like how the dispatcher was Quick to understand what I needed on a first call. Other companies Were like huh? Or wanted to charge $175. I would definitely Use these guys again. They were fast and efficient with No drama and they didnt go fishing for work Once they were up there.

I would use these guys again. The workers were prompt and on time. The estimater was responsive to changes in the scope of work. He disagreed with me on the number of recessed lights I needed for the room though. He recommended six fixtures but by my calculations using the charts supplied by Lightolier I needed eight fixtures. Since the room is on a dimmer if the amount light were too much the intensity can be turned down. Better to have too much than not enough I think. I saved some money in the quote by buying my own lights to install in the fixtures. Becker did a good job and I will use them again if I need other electrical work.

Becker Electric Company exceeded all expectations. The person answering the phone was super courteous and extremely helpful. I explained that there were 4 electrical outlets that did not work. He asked me two questions: Had I tried the circuit breaker? I had. Had I tried the reset button on one of the outlets? I had not. I tried it, it worked. I cancelled the appointment for tomorrow and saved $95 for a service visit. I couldn't be more pleased with the experience. I will definitely use this company in the future, and recommend Becker Electric Company to friends and associates. Honesty, professionalism, courtesy. Thank you Becker Electric Company.

I live in South Carolina and needed electrical work done in a condo I own in Alexandria, Virginia. I found Becker on Angie's List and called them up. I described what I wanted and when I would be in town to have it done. Becker said it would have Scott at my condo the first thing in the morning on the date I requested. Scott and Joshua arrived at 7:45 am, and were done by 8:45 am. They wired up a micro range (installed outlet), replaced a balcony exterior outlet that was not working correctly, reinstalled an outlet in the guest bedroom that had been installed incorrectly, and added an outlet to one wall in the living room. Scott also gave me advice about running TV cable lines into the condo so they wouldn't show. He also gave me valuable advice on the pros and cons of installing ceiling fans in the two bedrooms in view of the fact we had concrete ceilings. Scott and Johsua were highly professional, thorough, and excellent representatives for Becker Electric. I would definitely hire Becker again and also recommnd the company to others

I had the best experience in the universe. They are excellent. They did everything right.

They are number one in my book. They come and know what they're doing and don't waste any time. They are easy to make an appointment with... the people answering the phone are so nice and helpful. I have recommended Becker many times. I give them all A grades.

It went great. Becker staff gave us a quick quote via phone and were very easy to schedule around our calendar. When the day came, the electricians finished the work quickly, explained what likely had led to the issues (special plug for old window unit, flipped an interior outlet to the outside of the structure), and did everything that needed to be done. Our plaster walls were undamaged and the house is now safer and more useable. We plan to call them again to help with a few newly uncovered "oddities" (a likely short) and swapping out lighting fixtures.

Technicians came on time and did all work as requested. However they did not have a ladder long enough to work on the outdoor lights. They spent over 30 minutes running back to get the proper ladder and we ended up paying for this time. I would not use this company again.

The two contractors came on time, worked hard all day, took few if any breaks, did near-perfect work, and left us feeling really good about the work they did and the hard-earned money we spent.

I hired this company to replace one exterior light fixture and to potentially repair one other external fixture. Although they were not able to get to my residence at the earliest or most convenient opportunity for my schedule, I nevertheless employed their services based on the good reviews of other List members. The employee who did the work was very helpful, very effective, and quick. The price was reasonable. Overall, I was very pleased with their service; and I will probably call them the next time we need minor electrical work.

T'was a simple enough request; install a ceiling fixture after I'd sheared off the wires (by twisting off the previous fixture incorrectly.) The instructions for installation seemed straight forward enough, but I'm no electrician and I didn't want to risk an entire 15 floors worth of residents on said assumption... so I looked these people up, they set up an appointment pretty quickly and even charged me less than original quote. It is just as well, as the guy who'd done the work removed a couple of the old wires which I had not thought to have done myself.

Electrician was on time, efficient, and friendly. He found the source of the problem quickly, put a new cover on the outside electrical outlet, cleaned out the debris in the light on the pole by our outside stairs, and replaced the bulb. I was so impressed I hired Becker to replace the electrical cable that came down after the summer storms.

Very very well! Sy was the senior rep and he and the other electrician went to work sharing the load as they snaked new wire through walls. High marks in every respect! All A+++s!
