Professional, courteous, knowledgeable and did a great job.

I lost my keys therefore needed all doors rekeyed asap. Called company on 2/16/2016 and spoke to Robin. At first, received an estimate for work and date to be performed for next day, however, she called back and told me she could work me in on today. Service technician (Conrad) came, examined the work and doors to be done, confirmed the price and began work. He was courteous and very professional. I tried my new keys before his departure and they worked fine. I'm totally satisfied with the performance.

We had a new front door installed and wanted all the exterior door locks to have cylinders matching it (so that every lock opens with the same key). Called Area Safe & Lock. The ASL rep (I believe I recall correctly it was "Bob") was cooperative and knowledgeable. He told me directly the cost of a house call and the cost to change, per cylinder. Asked them also to review my exterior locks for wear and tear to see if any needed replacement. Bob suggested I send photos of existing locks, and he would be able to tell me with high probability whether anything would need replacement or not. Based on photos he determined it was very unlikely that anything needed replacing (subject to actual inspection onsite), but at my request he provided some rough figures for what a typical deadbolt replacement might cost. He stressed that the decision to replace could be made on the spot because their rep would have on his truck all the necessary locks, cylinders, etc. We decided to go ahead with having ASL do the job; I bought an Angies List coupon valued at $100. We scheduled for a few days later (we weren't in any particular hurry for this job). The service rep arrived on time, checked out all locks, discussed with us some points about types available. In the end we decided to replace one lockset/knob, not because it was defective but because the outside know had become so corroded. He started work and completed everything in about three hours. He advised that the lock we were trying to match (Pella) was not "fully compatible" with standard Schlage hardware - this required some tweaking and I guess took a bit more time but we tested all the keys before he left and all were (and still are) working fine.

Wasn't completely transparent with the price. I understand sometimes the pricing may be different based upon the difficulty of the job but I gave them details when I called in so when service guy gets there and charges me something different than what I was quoted well, I'm a little disappointed because what do you do in that situation. You need to get in. Makes you not trust the service provider.

From scheduling to the actual work, all went without a problem. Would use them again.

This was a great experience. On the day of closing, the realtors locked the only available keys inside of a friend's new house. I hopped on Angie's List, saw all the great ratings for Area Safe and Lock, and suggested she call the company for help. Because of all of the chaos related to moving, I ended up meeting the locksmith at the new house and the locksmith solved the problem quickly and efficiently. Robin in the front office was also fantastic. The company was on time and communicated clearly and up front about pricing and the details of its work.

It was great! From my first contact with Robin at the office. She walked me through buying their deal online here ( my first time) and then said that an appt. was cancelled and they could be there in an hour. Hurray! Darren, the locksmith, arrived in less than an hour. I explained and showed him the butchered job that had been done by two other locksmiths. He was here for an hour and fixed everything wrong! Highly recommended!

I used this company last month because of a problem with a new entry door lock installed weeks before by a contractor. The technician came and immediately knew how to solve the problem. I called and talked to their very nice and friendly scheduler, Robin. Daren was at my door within the hour. He was quick and very efficient. Now, that's what I call good service! I scheduled a second visit to re-keyed all my doors and storm doors. We got tired of carrying 7 keys for all the home's entry doors. We ended up with one key for doors and one key for storm doors. Vincent was courteous, polite and very friendly. Very clean work. I'll definitely use them again.

The two technicians came on time and explained why this safe was going to be hard to open (discontinued item), but they got the key lock part open. This safe has a combination lock AND a key lock. They were going to call me later in the day (but didn't). BUT, they did have a good reason; the company in CA wasn't being helpful. So, between the technicians and the secretary, Robin,, the CA safe company did come through with the 'card' to make a copy of the lost key. Robin was most helpful via phone and e mail. The 'techs' knew their business too. This company is an Angie member. Would recommend them anytime. Advise also to remember where one leaves a key! Still can't remember where I put it; there really had been no need to change its normal spot, but I did! Area Lock is very good and conscientious; they didn't take 'no' for an answer from the CA safe company!

My condo building referred Area Safe & Lock Service to me so that I could have my locks re-keyed. I had a great experience working with Robin to schedule someone to come out; She was very gracious in accommodating my schedule. The locksmith, Daren Nester, was on time and very knowledgeable. He answered all of my questions. He re-keyed both my condo unit and mailbox locks in about 30 minutes. I would definitely use Area Safe & Lock Service again!

One of the locks on my outside door did not work so I decided to get all of the locks rekeyed so that I could use the same key on all doors. I called on Friday to set up an appointment on Monday. Robin was very friendly as she took the information for my job. She told me who would come and the time that the service provider would come. Vincent came on time, and rekeyed the locks very quickly. The lock that prompted the call was broken beyond repair and he waited at my house while I took 20 minutes to run to Home Depot to replace the lock. He also told me how to maintain the locks so that they would work more

luckily, they were able to send someone out same day I called them. The locksmith showed up on time, did the work, no problem. Price was in line with what the guy quoted me on the phone. Very satisfied with their service, would use them again.

Overall, I was very pleased with the services that I received from Area Safe and Lock from my initial call to inquire about their services to follow-up to confirm my appointment to my on-site services from my technician, Jim. At every step of the way, Area and its employees were courteous and informative. While on-site, Jim walked me through what he needed to do to every lock, explaining what he was going to do, the approximate price, and how it related to my home's security. He was extremely kind and professional. He helped me to understand my options for various locks and to make the best decision for my home. Their prices were extremely reasonable. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again or recommend them to my friends. Area Safe and Lock was a pleasure to work with!

The representative locksmith who rekeyed my locks was prompt, professional, courteous and knowledgable about his field. He was also insured/bonded and licensed. While the company is officially open from M-F 8am-5pm, I was able to make a Saturday appointment. The only suggestion I would give to the company is to find a way for customers to pay with credit online or at the time of service - as opposed to having to provide credit card numbers or image of a credit card. I would definitely use this company again for any locksmith issues.

I first contacted the main number and spoke with Robyn/Robin (spelling?). She was polite and wanted to help with our situation to get the door rekeyed that day. She told me that one of their employees could be out within 2 hours and they actually arrived a little early, which was fine. Vince showed up to do the work and he was very kind and efficient. It only took about 15 minutes in total to do all of the work. He was clean and didn't make a mess. He even fixed a closet door handle that had broken off without charging me anything extra. Super nice guy and I would definitely recommend using ASL again.

We called around to a few different locksmiths and this one was the most reasonable. The woman I spoke to was very helpful and arranged for the locksmith to come out. He arrived quickly considering he was driving here from Woodbridge. He was very professional and worked hard to get us back into our house.

Locksmith was professional and very helpful. Worked quickly. There was an extra (unexpected) expense due to the type of lock that was needed.

It was great. Mr. Johnson called to let me know he was on his way. When he arrived he called to let me know he was on his way in. Once in the house, I sowed him the safe. He assessed the problem. When I changed my batteries, he believes my code was lost. He got into the safe with his tools, pressed the reset button and reset my passcode.

They did a really good job. The man was very nice and gave me some excellent advice.
