A most disappointing experience with a firm I thought would provide good service. Such was not the case

The estimator and in-store sales personnel were very helpful and provided good advice. Installers did an excellent job and left the job site clean, with furniture back in place. They even ensured there were no carpet scraps on the road or driveway in the front of the house.

They were fine and overall, the job went very well. They did the work very fast. The quality of their work was fine although there were some minor things. I don't remember how much I paid for their services.

Excellent selection and service - when I changed my mind after initial selection, no problem. The appearance of the floors was a major factor in the quick sale (5 days on the market) of the condo. I recommend this company.

The work done by them was very good. I would recommend them. They were very professional, quick and efficient. There was nothing to complain about them. I felt that they were expensive.

WE ordered carpet on a Tuesday and they were here to install on Saturday. Work was very well done and the feel of the new carpet is great.

I started my search by visiting the store. I worked with Jim, who quickly made the carpet buying experience easy and FUN! It was very easy... he told me about the different products available, showed me samples, and then set up an in-house appointment to take measurements for my estimate. Jim was on time and extremely professional when we met. About two days later I had my estimate in hand, and it was a bit high compared to another estimate I received from a competing company. I really was impressed with Alexandia 1 and wanted to use this company, so I called Jim and was able to negotiate my bill down to a more competitive price. We set up the installation, and that was it. On installation day, I received a call from the installation manager asking if we could R/S becuase one of his workers wasn't able to come to work- I was pretty upset about this, having made arrangements with my moving company based around this install. However, they were able to find someone else to do the job, delaying the install by about 1.5hrs. The two installers were fabulous, and worked incredibly hard. I was very grateful. The carpet still looks great- no stretching needed!

We had Carpet One come and do a "Carpet Patch" in our home that weaved a remenant carpet piece with our exsisting carpeting. They were great from start to finish. Great price as well.

The sales person was extremely helpful. She was very knowledgeable and understood what we wanted immediately. She pointed us in the right direction and answered all of our questions. She was very good. The installers also did an excellent job. Their prices were very competitive compared to other places we looked.

Excellent experience start to finish! I worked with Sean Flannery on the commercial side who showed me a lot of options and explained in detail the pros and cons of each type of flooring material that I was considering. The installers showed up promptly and completed the work in a professional manner, cleaning up behind themselves, and just doing an excellent job. I definitely will use Carpet One again.

It was okay, it wasn't out of the ballpark for anything. They were punctual and answered all of my questions. I changed my mind on the project and that's why I decided not to use them.

I needed 20 year old nasty/stained carpet replaced in a guest room (motivation: guest coming in two weeks). Rather than sweat it out and hope new carpet could be ordered, arrive and installed in that time, one of their salesman showed me their vast remnant collection. I happily picked one out that would work beautifully and it was installed within a week. The installers were prompt, courteous, professional and cleaned the area beautifully. They even vacuumed the new carpet before they left. Carpet looks great.

I thought they were quite good. They had very helpful designers in terms of helping to pick different tiles out. I had not purchased anything from this store, but I thought they were quite helpful. Each time I had went to the store someone was very responsive. I had also thought that their prices were very good according to other places.

The interaction was very nice. They were nice people and they were prompt.

They came back to fix something that was incorrectly done.

I selected this vendor because I knew from past experience that they have a nice supply of remnants in their warehouse, and they allow you to go into the warehouse and browse through them. The salesperson was very helpful, and steered me from one selection to another that was higher quality at a lower price. The rug itself was really inexpensive, but the binding seemed a little high. Still, I decided to have it bound. They cut the remnant and bound it, and it was ready in two days (ahead of the promised time!) The workmanship was very good.

In general, they were quite professional and provided a free estimate. The sales people that worked with me on the floor were very professional and the people that actually did the installation were equally as professional. They were prompt and courteous. I was pleased overall. I think the price was fair. They actually made a suggestion. They had an overstock of a particular type of berber carpet. I was looking at some berbers. The one that they had an overstock was a little bit different than the one that I was originally looking at. Because they had an overstock they suggested that maybe I wanted to take advantage of it and gave me a good price. They did a good job. The degree of difficulty was a little bit higher just because it was a loft. They had to wrap the carpet around the platform upstairs. I wouldn't say it was a big job for them, but I thought they did a fine piece of work.

There are too many moving parts at Carpet One. I had to deal with the saleswoman, the guy who does the estimate, the guy who schedules installation, and the installers, none of whom seemed to be communicating with each other and each of whom could only answer specific questions. It took a couple of months before the tiles I chose arrived at the store. Courtney was a good saleswoman but seemed to be almost too successful - she had so many customers it was hard to get her on the phone or get more than 5 minutes of her time in the store. Once the tiles came in it was really hard to nail down a time to install them. I kept waiting for the scheduler to get in contact with me but he never did, even after I complained to Courtney. Finally I had to threaten to forfeit my deposit. then he finally called. the installers did a great job on the floor but not as well with the backsplash, which looks crooked in places. Plus I had to call them to come back to finish the job (ie sealing the grout) because they just left without doing it.

Overall, we're happy with the installation and the carpet. Carpet One rolled out the carpet for us in the factory before bringing it over. We chose Carpet One because they were the only company we felt sure could accommodate a member of our family who has serious allergies and chemical sensitivities. We were satisfied in that regard. The Kool Glide seaming tape system worked as advertised with no perceptible smell. The carpet looks good and seems to have been installed well. They did an initial free estimate, with a salesperson coming out to measure the area. The cons were that they initially quoted us a much higher price ~$7,800, which was far higher than any other company. It was a bit hard to get a hold of them at times, and the salesperson didn't always know all of the details we needed, which meant that we ended up dealing with the owner, Chris, most of the time. This made the process go longer and was frustrating at times to the point where, at one point, we decided to go with a different company. In the end, however, we didn't know if they would be able to do the low-VOC installation so we called Carpet One back and told them that if they could bring their price down we'd go with them. They eventually did. It then took a little while to get the carpet in, allow it to role out, and get back to us about installation. A final con was that the workmen didn't speak English very well, so it was difficult to understand them when they tried to tell us anything or give us options when things came up during the installation. They did good work though. Another reason we went with Carpet One instead of the other company we were considering was because of their lifetime guarantee on the carpet installation.

The end result is exceptional. The installers were very professional, neat and very careful. They stained all the base molding a perfect match to the floors. I'm very pleased. While the job was not inexpensive, I feel the money was well spent. I plan to continue patronizing this merchant and highly recommend them.

Initially I worked with the son and then the father came and finalized the quote. They had a lot of varieties and options. The price was a bit expensive.

I was looking for carpet from here. Immediately they put me in the remnant room. I told them I wanted a Berber carpet for stairs. The salesperson told me that Berber would be need to be replaced a year later. He recommended the wool carpet and told me that was what I should use. I ended up leaving since that is not what I wanted.

Everything went perfectly. We couldn't be more satisfied. As an Angie's list customer, we received an upgraded carpet pad.

They had an excellent price on carpet. The same brand and style of carpet was much cheaper here than at other stores. The installers were professional, came on time, and did a great job.
