Absolute Tree Inc

The tree crew arrived 15 minutes early and checked in with us. They started work immediately. Both trees are very large and one was hanging over another tree and our internet wire. The tree that was hanging over another tree and over the wiring was removed in an efficient manner, causing NO damage to the other tree or wiring. The second tree, which is about 60 years old, was trimmed back and dead branches removed to make it safer for us. All debris was cleaned up and the yard was spotless when they finished. The tree crew did an excellent job and I will definitely call Absolute Tree Inc when I need my trees trimmed, removed, etc. in the future. Thanks.

The crew with Absolute Tree Service did an OUTSTANDING job with removing what was possibly the largest maple tree in our neighborhood. I was thoroughly impressed with the SKILL and PROFESSIONALISM of the tree cutters and crew - they absolutely knew what they were doing! A member of the crew commented that the tree they removed from my backyard was one of the largest trees they've ever taken down. Absolute Tree Service was highly recommended by my neighbor - he has used them exclusively for the past 5-6 years. Despite my neighbor's recommendation, I still received 6 other quotes before selecting Absolute Tree Service. Not only were they the only ones who provided evidence of insurance with delivery of quote, they also came in with a reasonable price quote. When evaluating comments from other reviewers here on Angies List, focus on the ones who actually had work performed. I've recommended them to another friend, and I would definitely hire them again... in a heartbeat.

I had scheduled an appointment for the company to come to my house and give me an estimate for some tree work I needed done. They were very quick to repond to me through Angie's list email to set up the appointment. The appointment was set for Monday between 8-8:30 (this is the time they requested, I agreed). At 8:45 I had not heard from them so I called their company cumber. The lady that answered the phone said "they just must be running late" and nothing else. I told her that they had my phone number and should have called me if they were running late. She wasn't very proactive, so I asked her to contact them to see where they were and if I didn't hear back from her, I was leaving at 9:00. I did not hear back from her or the company. I did send them a followup email through Angies list saying they had missed their appointment and were they still interested in giving me an estimate. They did not repond. Moral of the story is..it doesn't matter that you have 400+ "A" ratings, if you don't treat your cusomter right, you might as well have 400+ "F" ratings!

Overall quality and price was great but communication was a challenge. I had to reach out after accepting the estimate to find out if they had scheduled something. There was rain the day of service and a few hours into the scheduled timeframe I called to confirm they were not coming. They said they would follow up later in the week to reschedule. The next day I was surprised to find men show up to my house to complete the job. When I called the company the owner's wife was not even aware that they were planning to do the work that day. While I'm glad they were able to complete it quickly after the rain delay, zero communication and obvious lack of internal communication was frustrating. While the price and quality were great, I'm not sure I would use them again as it felt like a lot of work on my end to make sure it got done.

The arborist (Mike) made an immediate diagnosis of our Japanese Snowbell patio tree. It had been planted too deep 4 years ago, and was stressed and probably dying. He suggested 2 alternatives; 1) raise the ball too proper level and hope to save the tree; 2) replace the tree with the same species from their nursery. Both alternatives were very reasonably priced. There was no pressure to make a sale and no charge for the visit and advice. All in all, a very pleasant vendor experience!

Absolute Tree, Inc. did a fantastic job removing a problematic tree from my front yard. The tree had many large above-ground roots that were spreading all over my small front lawn. The tree was also surrounded by underground utility lines. Absolute Tree followed all safety precautions to effectively remove this tree and its unsightly roots. I had fully expected that my front yard would be bumpy and uneven when the tree and its large roots were removed. Instead, Absolute Tree left my front yard in great condition. It was smooth and even, with only a small brown patch in the lawn where the trunk had been removed. There was no debris anywhere. The staff who removed the tree were courteous, efficient, and extremely good at what they did, and the office staff was very helpful, especially with my concerns about the underground utility lines around this tree. The price was also very reasonable. I would definitely use them again.

I called Absolute Tree on Monday 5/11/2015 to setup an appointment for Friday 5/15 to look at some of my trees. I asked what time the estimator would come by so that I could be home. The service rep stated that since their estimators work "all over Northern Virginia" there would be no way to know when they would come until the day of the appointment. I took off work on Friday to be home for the appointment. I called right when they opened on Friday at 8:30 to get the approximate time. The service rep didn't know the time, but stated that they would check and call me back. At 12:30, I called Absolute Tree service again to find out what time - the service rep had no record of my appointment. It's very frustrating to be mislead about an appointment, toe take off work and then to be blown off without consideration. Later that day, Absolute Tree rearranged their schedule to come out and provide the estimate. I appreciate that they changed their schedule such that I wouldn't have to take another day off of work. In addition, the owner of the firm called to apologize for the lapse in the appointment.

Absolute Tree was responsive, courteous and professional. They did an excellent job of cutting down 2 trees and removing a number of larger branches from 4 other trees. If we have any future tree removals in the future, we'll use Absolute Tree again.

From start to finish, Absolute Tree, Inc did a better job communicating with us and taking down one of our many trees than any other company we've had in the last 20 years. The company president, Ashley Davis, responded immediately to my telephone call asking for an estimate. His price was not only competitive, it was less than any of the drive-by amounts we'd gotten over time from individuals who may or may not have even had insurance. We agreed on a date for the job, and a team of three arrived right on time, ready to work. The oak tree being removed was huge and within 10 feet of the house. The workers lowered every limb and every piece of the trunk, using a pulley system and ropes, gently to the ground. None of the pieces were hurled down to smash into the yard, none threatened windows or doors or bushes in front of the house. When they finished, they raked the yard of sawdust and cleaned the driveway as well. They were polite, efficient and competent. They worked together smoothly as a team. We will use them in the future for any tree work we may need.

From the moment I contacted Absolute Tree for an estimate, through the completion of the work, my experience with the staff of Absolute Tree has been nothing short of outstanding. Company President Ashley Davis, office manager Jill Davis and Abraham and his crew were extremely polite, professional and efficient in scheduling and completing the work. And the price for the service was very reasonable. I previously used another company to trim the tree but after using Absolute Tree I never will call another tree service. I highly recommend Absolute Tree to anyone in need of tree trimming and related services.

I have seen so many trees look terrible after being pruned. I was nervous about my trees which I've been growing for 20 plus years. These workers listened to what I wanted done, were very conservative in how much they limbed up the one maple. They made sure I was happy with what they were doing and I encouraged a bit more pruning. They cleaned up and took away all of what they cut as well as limbs that had fallen from trees they didn't work on. I am very happy with their work and would recommend them to anyone.

There was an additional cost. They responded quickly and were thorough.

The crew showed up in a very timely fashion even though it had rained the previous night and I called in to see if they wanted to reschedule. I was assured they would come out but that they wanted the sun to do a little drying and that is exactly what happened. The crew was polite and efficient and did exactly what was listed. And - this is key - they cleaned up every single thing left behind. I was so happy to know I didn't have to follow up cleaning up small branches or leaves, etc. Very grateful and very impressed! Would use again without hesitation!

Received a prompt call on my request for a quote and the owner looked at my trees the next day. His quote was by far the best value. I was even educated on the types of trees in my yard which is always good to know. I was contemplating the removal of another large tree but I was told that the tree was still healthy and did not need to come down. The crew showed up early and completed their work before the end of the day. The front of the house looks much better now and many of the neighbors have commented on how well the trees look now and that the trees no longer look 'over grown'. I will use this company again in the future.

Four people came out, and they were not prompt. They were supposed to show up one day, and it was pouring rain, and I called after 2 hours, and said they were sorry they didn't call me, and then they showed up the next day unannounced. I was home because I was sick, and so I let them into the back yard. When I called, the owners wife said she didn't know that. They would have rescheduled to another day if I wasn't home. The communication was really bad all the way. I had to fill in the online form for the work, and then had to follow up for a quote. The work itself was great, I had no complaints. The price was fine. It took a long time to schedule and get done.

I called the office to get an estimate. The President, Ashley Davis, arrived to assess the job exactly when scheduled and submitted a proposal by email that evening. I liked his manner and was happy with the quote. The work was done about two weeks later and I was very happy with the result. The crew cleared up all the resultant mess and left the property very tidy.

This review is an F for failure to follow up. I called the company directly, spoke to a gentleman on the phone he took my address, name, phone number and email, and the Arborist, Ashely Davis would follow up with time to evaluate my property for tree trimming pruning, etc.. Almost 2 week later, no response or contact.

They were very responsive, they got to me quickly, they scheduled the job quickly and were very quick.

I just thought that they were very good. I had no complaints about them and I would use them again. They are efficient and worked quickly. I was very impressed with them. And they were insured and licensed. They used email to make appointments and return information. I was home when they did the work and they were just extremely efficient. I did get the Angie's List discount so it was like $585. The price was really good. They did a good job. They came at exactly the minute they said they were going to be there. They said they would be there at 8 o'clock, they were there at 8 o'clock. They were very professional.

Absolute Tree did a great job pruning three large trees around our home. When the crew arrived, they walked around the yard with me so I could ask them about specific branches we were concerned about. They were very thorough and opened up the trees quite a bit. We asked them to save one large branch for firewood and they left a neat pile in our front yard. The crew did a great job cleaning up as well. My only critique was their arrival time - we confirmed the day but the arrival time was never confirmed. The day of we called for an estimated arrival time which was not till mid-afternoon. Minor issue, considering what a great job the crew did.

Requested through Absolute's online form to provide a price quote for both the trimming of an existing tree and the price for possible full removal of the tree. Received an automate email response indicating someone would be by to provide an estimate. No one ever showed up. No further contact made to Absolute. I would not recommend Absolute. It went great! They cleaned up the area around them really nicely. I've used absolute tree twice now and both times they were perfect. A+++ Service. I will wait 3 weeks to use them if I have to.
