The entire transaction from start to end was excellent. Excellent correspondence up until the move, took great care of packing the refrigerator for transport, and very friendly to work with.

Mr. Lamont responded first among the half dozen movers I contacted (after two days, only one other has responded, and well above the quote Mr. Lamont gave me), and he scheduled the job the next day (on Sunday, even). He offered to do the move for a very reasonable price, kept in communication, and promptly arrived exactly when he said he would. He and his fellow mover were very professional, courteous, and did an outstanding job. I will use them again, without hesitation.

I first used Lamont when I moved to VA and needed my pod unpacked. When it was time to move from my apartment to my condo, he was my first choice for movers. Scheduling Lamont was easy - I just dropped him an email with what I needed and the date I wanted. He came back quickly to confirm availability and time. On moving day, Lamont and his assistant were on time, took a look at everything and got me packed up in about two hours. They followed my over to the condo and got everything unloaded quickly. They even folded all the blankets when they were done. Lamont and his crew are very careful with your possessions and pack and wrap things carefully. They also work nonstop from the moment they show up until the moment they leave. I hope I don't have to move again any time soon, but wouldn't hesitate to use Lamont again the next time I do.

We hired Lamont and another person from his crew to help us move from our townhouse to a house. We had a good amount of stuff and, as recommended by Lamont, rented a 26 foot truck. Throughout the entire process, Lamont and his crew were professional and courteous. Everyone on his team (he cycled people to keep everyone fresh and moving at a good pace) cared about doing a good job and preventing any damage to items or walls. Lamont loaded our truck like a master Tetris player with everything secured. We drove the truck to our new house and the team unloaded everything to the specified rooms. I can't recommend Lamont's Small Moves enough. Forget full service movers if moving locally. The process was simple - Rent a truck - Hire Lamont's team - Save hundreds while receiving excellent service from a genuinely nice and professional guy.

I have moved my mother three times in three years, so I have had a variety of experiences working with movers. This was by far the easiest, most economical and most efficient move. We rented the Uhaul truck and had it ready at the first apartment. The team of two men loaded the truck with a studio apartment's worth of furniture and belongings and followed us 12 miles to the new apartment. They unloaded and completed everything in the three hours anticipated. Very friendly and helpful in every way. We will definitely use them for any future moving needs.

This was by far the easiest move I've ever had. Lamont responded to my phone message very quickly. He accommodated my schedule and came to the storage unit during his lunch hour from his other job. He called to confirm about an hour before the appointment. He showed up on time, went right to work, got everything loaded very professionally in half an hour, and I was on my way. I will definitely use his services in the future if the need arises and will refer my relatives to him also.

Excellent. Lamont and Matt were on time and very, very carefully moved my furniture back onto my newly finished wood floors. They also offered to help me relay a heavy rug and pad. When they finished ahead of schedule, they asked if they could help move anything else! Needless to say we were delighted with how smoothly it all went.

Lamont and his assistant arrived on time and did a great job. At the storage shed, they worked diligently to load the items onto the truck to transport to the new storage unit. They were able to quickly empty the truck and organize the numerous boxes and items into the new storage unit. At my home, they were very careful when moving the appliances and furniture, making sure that nothing was damaged. At our final destination, delivering an appliance and furniture, they worked patiently with my sister. Considering the last destination required a 1 hour drive, I was very pleased that everything was completed in 4 hours. I would highly recommend Lamont's Small Moves and plan to use the company again.
