The crew from Cedar Run Landscaping were awesome! In addition to a hardscape installation, we also used Cedar Run Landscaping for leaf removal. We had a wonderful experience with the entire crew. Leave removal took hours and the crew never stopped working. The men who did the hardscape/stone steps were true artisans and the stone wall they created is just gorgeous. They also gave us some wonderful ideas for future landscaping projects. My husband is a bit of a DIY guy and does our lawn, but I wouldn't hesitate to use them for lawn service. One of my neighbors uses them religiously and I am always secretly envious as their lawn looks amazing! Terrific company in all facets of landscape and design!

We were really pleased with the service Cedar Run provided. We were gettiand ready to put our home on the market and this huge tree to deal with that fell over in our front yard. They were able to replant the tree quickly, and for a reasonable cost. This was summer of 2013 and a year later the new owners tell us that tree is thriving!

My exterminator recommended Ceadar Run to help us with our yard that has several areas of which water pools, the yard stays soggy, poor grass, etc. He recommended them because they have engineers on staff. I am thrilled with the service I get from my exterminator so was excited to get a reference that I thought would be reliable (so hard to find in this area). I called them twice , took name and number in case we got disconnected and was transferring me to owner, came back owner not available will give him msg. A week later I had no return call. I placed a second call, the exact same scenario, explained how I had not heard back from first call and I was interested in their compaw because of a recommendation, was told owner would call back. I did get a call but not from the owner as they said. Arturo called and came out on time. Intially did a quick look, after speaking with him for a few minutes he spent a bit more time looking at property but did not measure not take soil samples (maybe not needed). We liked what he had to say, it was different from the first estimate we received from another company, however what he said made sense, he told us he would email us an estimate. Three days went by, no estimate. Called the company simply to ask when we could expect one, told someone would get back to me. Heard nothing. Called a week later, asked them if they were too busy and just didn't need the work to tell me, same story give me your name and number in case we get disconnected I will transfer you to owner. I stated never mind I will be posting in Angies List and contacting exterminator not to recommend your company. Never heard from them. Took my time to meet with them, they spent time and mone to come out. Very unprofessional, cant get back to potential client for a sizable job, most likely not dependable on your property. Really, what it with northern virginia, so many companies do this or perform shoddy wotk. They are no different.

They did not use enough straw to cover the seed. My advice to people about this company is to keep looking and I will not use them again in the future. I called them back several times and did not get a response.

I've had many, many jobs with Cedar Run. They generally go quite well. If something is wrong, they make it right - consistantly. That's worth a LOT!!

It got worst each year until they were totally unresponsive. The owner and the crews did not seem to communicate, so our concerns were rarely addressed, or if they were, it was only temporary. They didn't maintain a good schedule, and often failed to perform work until weeks after it was supposed to be done. We fired them and went with another contractor, who was great.

They did a pretty decent job however they charged us for things that were not in the quote. They didn't tell us as they just went ahead and increased it with extras. It worked out to be 1200 more than estimated. I would have preferred better communication and understanding of what to expect of the total charges.

Cedar Run has always done an exemplarly job in providing landscaping services. In those very few cases when I have had to give them a call, their personnel showed up the next day to make corrections. Cedar Run has designed the landscaping as well as performing the landscape installation. Their crews are always on time and very thorough in doing the work. A complete landscaping company.

Cedar Run did an excellent job. The head of the company, Daryl, came right away to give an estimate. Since he is a trained engineer, and since they have done this kind of job before, he was able to describe exactly how to get it done right. The finished product reflects the quality, pride and effort they put into their work. My only minor complaints are that the price seemed a little high, and it sometimes took over 24 hours for someone to call me back. Otherwise, I highly recommend Cedar Run.

I SAY THAT THE WORKERS WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL. I THINK THE SERVICE WAS EXCELLENT. THE CREW WAS VERY POLITE AND THEY WERE ON TIME. THEY WORKED VERY HARD.
