I was given an estimate over the phone (there is a $200 minimum) and I was a little worried about the ultimate cost but the individual who came knew what he was doing and went right to work with no issues. I was very impressed with the thoroughness and quality of the job and there was no unexpected mess or cost.

We called American Powerclean to get an estimate for cleaning and staining our large, multi-level wooden deck, which we had neglected for several years. Mike Corbett returned our call promptly and set up a time to come by. He was extremely knowledgeable and quickly assessed our needs, which included replacing several rotted boards. Unlike other deck-maintenance companies we contacted, American Powerclean offers carpentry services, so we didn?t have to do a separate search for someone to repair the deck. Also, as noted in other reviews, Mike gave expert advise on the type of stain to use, given the age and weathered condition of the deck (solid vs. semi-transparent). He promptly worked up the estimate and, once we accepted, coordinated the work. A two-man crew spent a day carefully power-washing the deck; several days later, a three-man crew and carpenters came to treat the deck and make the repairs. The quality of the work was exceptional. The work took two to three days to complete because of the deck size, but the team took it all in stride and did not rush. When all was done, we noticed a couple of out-of-the-way spots that needed a bit more work, and Mike promptly sent a team to address them. We are completely happy satisfied with the work, cost, and turnaround time, and we?ll definitely use American Powerclean again. Highly recommended!

Have used American Powerclean for years to wash my house and sometimes my deck and basketball court. This time, we went for the full service and included the deck treatment. Placed a call to Mike and he was out in less than a week to do the estimate. After we signed off, it was about a week and he did the power washing. Six days later, his 3-man staining crew returned to treat the deck. Work was completed in a timely fashion, and the quality and care when staining was first-rate. Also want to note that Mike helped guide us to the best solution for staining our older deck, (Behr Solid Color versus Semi-transparent) so it would look its best. Very happy with the outcome and would recommend them again. BB

Everything went without a hitch. I scheduled an appointment. They called to confirm. They showed up and did an excellent job. I didn't have to be at home for them to power wash the deck and that was very helpful to me. I would use them again.

We purchased a deal on AL that was a power washing and sealant of deck for $250. We had some Behr Deckover that we had planned to use but never got to it. They came and gave us an estimate for doing the Deckover instead of just the sealant, and it almost doubled the price. The provider (Mike) explained that it was much more time consuming to apply the Deckover since it had to be applied by hand and not sprayed. The guys that came and did it did a wonderful job. We're please with the results. It was worth it to have professionals apply that particular product. It could have gone very wrong. Overall, the scheduling and communications were the only thing that weren't a home run. Would use again.

Arrived on time and cleaned all four sides of my house as well as one set of exterior stairs. Job was completed efficiently and crew were polite.

Mike and his team were excellent and made the entire process quite easy for us. Since we were not able to meet Mike when he was going to come by for the estimate, he took measurements and left a detailed cost estimate along with color samples. While we did get other estimates, American Powerclean was somewhere in the middle, but we were already leaning towards using their services based on Angie's List reviews. We did end up requesting their services - they pressure washed the deck and also the shed, and then came back later to actually stain / re-seal. The quality of the work was excellent; both currently still look brand new. Given that American Powerclean stained our entire deck (rails, spindles, and lattice work in addition to deck boards) I feel like we got excellent value and it was very easy to work with them. From here on out we will use American Powerclean for any pressure washing or resealing needs.

Called to set up an appointment. The crew came earlier than expected (not a bad thing) but was unable to perform the work due to our dogs being on the back porch. Received a call from the owner who let me know that the crew moved on to another job and would swing back in another 2 hours or so. That happened and the crew got to work. Finished in about an hour. Well done.

American Powerclean, owned and managed by Mike Corbett, have always done outstanding work. Other companies have damaged the wood surfaces- Mike's crews have just the right "touch". I've used American on several homes in Northern Virginia. The prices are always fair. I patiently wait to be put on the schedule and the crew completes the job, all without my inspection. The result is always great.

Mr. Corbett is a straight up guy and very accommodating at various staging where I made changes. The cleaning and re-staining of the decks and even staining the deck closet and large wooden storage chest. VA had various stages of rain during the month of July so they couldn't finish as early as stated but they moved fast professionally as possible. A definite keeper. Great job Mr Corbett ad his team.

Mike was extremely professional. I had to reschedule twice once due to the other contractor who is performing the face lift. They were behind schedule. The second time was due to weather. Mike came out very quickly to get me an estimate. He communicated extremely well with me to coordinate the time, location, materials, and he was extremely responsive to my questions (phone and text). His team was on time and extremely professional. This was all new wood and they sanded all the corners and edges so it was ready for the stain. They did several things I did not ask them to do to ensure the job was done right. He came to the job site and it was clear the wood needed a second coat. He left his team working and went got additional stain. The work was done to specifications and exactly when he said it would be done. I could not be more pleased and I have not had luck recently with other contractors. I would not hesitate to recommend Mike to others and would absolutely use him again.

Mike Corbett's showed up on time to do the power washing, and I was not at home. I few holidays were left when I returned, but I chose to not report them as they were small. He had to delay the date the stain was to be applied because the previous job ran late. Stain was applied properly.

We highly recommend Mike at American Powerclean Inc. He is very professional, knowledgeable, prompt, and a pleasure to do business with. His estimate for the work done wasn't the lowest we received nor was it the highest. He was happy to break the estimate down so we could see how everything was priced. The work was top rate. Communication was great throughout the entire job which encompassed several visits due to the nature of the job, weather etc. He made sure everything was done well and completed as promised. The crew that worked on my home were respectful, cleaned up when finished, and did a great job on the work. We intend to use American Poweclean Inc. for more painting/improvements as soon as they can fit us in their schedule again.

We were away from home the day they came, so I was concerned that they wouldn't be thorough. However, I was pleasantly surprised at how nice the house and gutters looked.

I purchased a Big Deal from this provider after reading other customers' reviews as it met a need to have my house power washed. We set up the date of service with the owner online through the email client. The night before the date of service I went to turn on the shut off valve for the rear hose and was met with a broken pipe that leaked. I thought the appointment would have to be rescheduled but the team of 2 men showed up on time to look at the job. I explained the situation to the workers but they were able to still set up and start the job. They did great work. The house looks like new. I had just had an addition put on and while the new siding was exactly the same as the old, before the cleaning you could easily tell the old from the new siding. After the power washing, you can't tell. I would recommend this provider and will consider using him again in the future.
