YES! Heating, Air Conditioning, Plumbing and Electric

One of the reasons we selected this vendor is that they are listed as a local Park City vendor. When speaking with their office after the first cancellation, they confirmed they are located in Salt Lake City with frequent visits to Park City. We initially contacted them for a plumbing repair a few weeks in advance of Thanksgiving, with the request that the repair be completed for the arrival of our guests for the holiday. They committed to an appointment to do so. Two days prior to the scheduled appointment, they contacted us to cancel and reschedule. Subsequently, we were contacted in advance of the second appointment to cancel and reschedule again. On the day of the scheduled third appointment, we were notified that all plumbers had called in sick. At that point we chose not to work with this company as we feel they are unreliable.

ESCO was great. Very professional and knowledgable. They even fixed a problem with my furnace that a previous HVAC company had overlooked. They're rates aren't particularly low, but it's worth it to get it right the first time.

Prior to my scheduled appointment I received a call to ask if it would be ok if the serviceman came a little early. This was fine and I appreciated the phone call. Our serviceman arrived, we reviewed the work, the locations of our equipment and he answered several questions for me about the filters I've been using. We discussed alternatives with pros and cons of various filters/sizes which I appreciated. Then he went to work on the tune ups. He need a ladder for the attic unit and was careful bringing it up the stairs. He completed testing and tuning up the upstairs unit and then turned to the main furnace in the basement. Again, he took his time and completed his work without any problems. At the end, I asked if ESCO did work on gas fireplaces as I was having a minor problem with ours and he said yes, then took a quick look at my issue. He showed me an easy solution to the problem and I appreciated his advice/help with this. We discussed several other services ESCO provides in response to other HVAC questions I had, and our serviceman shared what ESCO could do for me as well as some of the products they have available. Our serviceman was very professional and knew his "stuff" in my opinion. He was very customer oriented, courteous and represented ESCO very well. He treated us well, did the work we needed and was very helpful with answers to my questions. I was impressed with the service and wouldn't hesitate to call ESCO again.

They canceled 2 appointments the day of the appointments, with no sense of caring about us as potential customers. On both occasions we had made provisions to be home at the time of they appointment. Again, the LACK OF PROFESSIONALISM AND COMMON COURTESY made us glad to have nothing further to do with ESCO.

Provider completed the job as promised in a very professional manner.

My ac unit for the upstairs was not working and had a tech come out and investigate the problem. After checking everything twice he concluded there must be a short in the wire somewhere. He gave me my options and what it would cost. He didn't charge me for this visit because it was part of my yearly maintence agreement. If we wanted them to do the work, we could have them rewire. The tech also said my husband could do some looking himself and told me specifics of what he should do. I don't like to be the relayer of technical info, so the technician gave me his cell phone and said my husband could call him anytime and he would walk him through some things he could do to take care of it himself. This is a great option for do-it-yourselfers that just need a little guidance. Anyway, my husband was just way too busy with work to get to it. So I called esco back and had someone come out again and take another look. They actually checked all the same things the last tech did, ( I know this because I watched both of them each step of the way), and he found that some wires were just not connected exactly right. He fixed it and didn't charge me a thing because the last tech has somehow missed it. These people are prompt, responsive, honest and every time I have had work performed, they have done a great job and the price was great.

Came on time for all visits, used booties faithfully, listened to our requests, developed a bill and finished the service quickly.

Called ESCO on 6/14 as condenser fan was not turning. Told them that I had two units that had never been serviced and were approximately 5-8 years old. They committed to have a tech on site between 2-5 the next day (Sat.) On Sat. they called at 11:30 to tell me that the tech would be there in 30 minutes. At 1:30 I called and was told that he was delayed but would be there next. He arrived at 2:15 and spent 5 minutes to look at the condensor, put meter on the capacitor and verified that it was good. Pushed a manual override and verified that the fan motor was in fact bad. Spent the next 15 minutes writing up the bill and informed me that there was nothing he could do on a weekend. Asked for the cost of a fan motor and was told approximately $370. So I have paid $80 to be told something that I already knew, bad motor and told that a new motor would cost 4 times what I could purchase if for on the internet. I understand that there is a cost to install it but how difficult could that be, a few screws and 4 wires to unplug? Never use this company, don't trust them to tell you the straight story and will be late when they do get there. The last contact was with Ashley and she was going to have the tech contact me with the details of motor and what he would be installing. Have not heard back from either. They did indicate that there would no charge to install the motor and that the return trip was covered under the original billing. it is my opinion that they are covering the cost of the installation by inflating the motor cost. I resent being told that they were coming out to service my units and then was told by Ashley on Monday that they don't do service on the weekends. If there are no parts available on the weekend then why do they bother? They knew what type of system I had prior to making the call. Not professional and have not concern for the client.

ESCO sent Gary to our house to take a look at the AC unit that broke a week prior. Gary was tall in stature and did not have a sense of humor. He had me turn on the AC and went to check outside. Within less than 10 minutes of arriving, he quoted me $500 to fix a possible leak or hole and pouring leak-stop fluid into the mix – or buy a new AC unit. That was on a Saturday. On Monday I had another gentleman come, and he asked whether he could see the furnace first. He showed me where the air filter was (this was not as obvious in this house than it was in previous homes I had lived in). He showed me how clogged up the filter was and that a good amount of dust had already gotten into the part that blows air throughout our house. He offered to clean the AC unit outside, especially the stuff that looks like a car radiator. He charged me a measly $125.00. The air was blowing cool and heavily, and he even waived the "make a house call" service fee. Perhaps other ESCO employees are nicer and more honest than Gary, but I won't call them again to find out. In my point of view, he tried to muscle his way to a hefty repair bill or a new AC unit. I had a bad feeling when he came out, but today I know for certain that he's a scam artist.

The service was rather comprehensive and I felt like they did a good job testing and explaining everything. Seeing things on their thermal camera was pretty cool and informative, but I wish they had taken more photos with it and offered to share the photos with me. They came back about a week later with three proposals for work to help seal and insulate my house. I nearly swallowed my tongue when I saw the prices/cost, but I guess they're pretty good salespeople because I'm actually considering hiring them to do the work. I've had trouble getting anyone to come do bids for me to compare pricing for services. Paul and Travis were both very personable and professional and helpful and informative, and that's one of the main reasons I'm considering hiring them. For whatever reason I feel (mostly) like I can trust them. The bids were a little on the vague side, but I expect to get some clarification on them soon. They also allowed me to combine a mailer coupon for the audit with an Angie's List coupon for 'any service.' :)

The install of the water heater required code upgrades which all where installed except for the roof of my house where it was overlooked that my old cap (chinamans cap) the kind birds can get into needed to be replaced with a listed cap and an extension of the flue needed to be done by 3 feet. I found this out from the gas company. I called and pointed this oversight out to ESCO and they came out and updated the problem to code. Overall I will use them again.

Their pricing was reasonable. People they send are not always great.

It went well. He arrived quickly, he wore shoe covers, and fixed the problem. Everything's been running great, since.

Furnace was not heating properly. I called Esco and they came witin an hour. they tested the system and determined that the furnace was shutting off due to poor air flow from a dirty air filter. He replaced the filter, and the furnace worked fine.

Professional installation no complaints, because of work load did not complete as fast as expected.

Job was very well done. Would call again.

Serviceman arrived after appt made 3 days in advance d/t extreme heat this summer. Had me turn system on and he worked on outside unit. Did start up system and waited 20min to ensure it stayed on. While waiting he used hose to wash out filterscreens.Answered my questions about age of system and future maintenance needed.

ESCO was able to schedule me in very quickly and once my HVAC system was reviewed - they pointed out a few things that were affecting efficiency. Pricing was very appropriate and i had them clean my AC condenser and purchased a maintenance plan with them. ESCO's pricing was half of what other vendor's were charging and they did not charge for mileage, since I live 20 miles outside of the SLC area. Great service, will use them again in the future.

Arrived on time and was finished in less that two hours. Very happy the the whole experience. Would use them again.

They called to let me know what time he would be in Tooele. The tehcnician (Stu) arrived on time and have the job done in less than two hours. Very happy with this company

We were having dinner guests on a very warm day and realized at about 4 pm that the a/c was not working.Called ESCO and they sent out a professional within the hour who had all the parts needed on the truck. It was fixed in about 1/2 hour.

We have used them several times, and they are a very good company. They are very reliable, nice, and considerate. I thought that the quality of work was great too.

Great people, wish I would get the warranty paperwork with out having to work for it, but the installers were a pleasure to work with. I would recommend this company.
