Bud showed up and I didn't have the room ready. He helped me figure out where the socket would go. There was a dresser in the way. He was kind and helped me move it. No complaints from him at all. It was a good experience. Thanks to Bud and ESCO. My husband now will have our outside decorations for Christmas without the extention cords. Thanks again Bud!! I would hire them again for sure! While I'm glad that their business is hopping, I had bought the deal because the cold weather is arriving and my furnace needs servicing now. Outstanding work, attention to detail, courtesy, cleanliness, and reasonable efficiency. (No, I'm not being compensated for the review. They were just that GOOD.) From the first person to the last they were on time when they were expected or I was called and given reasonable explanation. I was never made to wait for unreasonable delay. The electrician was thorough, efficient and I never got the feeling that he was rushed. He was willing to answer all of my questions and as precise as he was with his answers, he never talked down to me. better.The estimator was highly experienced and when in doubt about the size of the equipment that would be needed or the cost of some aspects of the installation (highly customized), she quoted me prices for the lower cost equipment and services, but in two instances she gave me better quality equipment but never the higher prices accompanying them. I guess that she spent 3 hours (or more) with me quoting each of the variations I asked for and answering all of my questions. The only thing she was mistaken about was the time required for installation (very complex as I said), but I was not charged additional for the extra time and I had gotten what I believe to be an "offer I couldn't refuse." Because of the complexity of the installation I did not believe they could really start the following day, but the install crew was on time and ready to do the job. Apparently they had a hole in their schedule that I was happy to fill. From the first person to arrive to the last to leave, They all were very sensitive to keeping the interior of my home as clean as possible. Without having to ask them, they all wore booties over their shoes in my house and were very careful to lay out the tarp runners in my house and remove them carefully. The last man to leave even vacuumed the length of my house on his hands and knees, getting the baseboards and any debris that might have been otherwise missed. Likewise, the installation was done with precision and attention to detail. They did not hesitate when I interrupted them (many times) to ask questions, but took their time to explain to me everything as we went along and changing or adapting some things as I felt necessary in the process. I could go on, but I expect this is enough to give you a sense. I feel I got excellent value for the expense.
Description of Work: ESCO was first contacted to send an electrician for a comprehensive evaluation of my home's electrical systems. I was impressed with the detailed manner in which it was done. I was offered a free estimate of installation of central a/c and scheduled it. The salesperson was extremely well-trained. She was able to do the measurements and load calculation to my satisfaction - something several other vendors had not done - and quote me right then. I asked for a duct size upgrade, for the ducts to be sealed and to have a high performance air filter installed. I also wanted one of the registers relocated and an air return for the crawlspace provided (there was none before). I asked for them to notify me of any potential problems in any of the systems of the house should they encounter them.

The tech showed up, had a look at my furnace and wanted to $900 worth of work or replace my furnace! I have a home warranty, so I got in contact with them and had them come out. None of the work that the tech said I needed needed to be done. It cost me another $60 dollars to find out I was getting scammed. Not pleased!

IT DID NOT GO I cancelled do to misrepresentation on the contractor part.
Description of Work: I scheduled this service and they called at the last minute and rescheduled 3 different times. They came out today and the hose bib that the offer was for was not a freeze free hose bib. It would have cost me an additional $100.00 to get the equivalent of what is on my home currently. This is Utah placing just a fauct instead of a freeze free hose bib would cause problems. The offer said hose bib not a fauct. So they did not do any work I cancelled the job. I would appreciate my money back.

I signed up for an appointment with them to get my furnace tuned up. I called to actually set the time for the appointment and they said the latest I could set the appointment was to be home a 2PM for a 2-5PM timeslot. I like many people work and cannot do that. I said I could be home at 3 or a little before. That was not ok with them so. I said I will have to cancel. The said ok as if it made no difference to them. If you can not conform to their wishes then they are perfectly ok with that. That tells me something about their attitude toward customers

Here is the Webster's Dictionary definition of a tune up, "a process in which small changes are made to something (such as an engine) in order to make it work better." So if you are sold a tune up, shouldn't there be something done other than trying to up sell more services? I think that this service should be sold as a diagnostic, not a tune up. I am very disappointed and feel that it was a waste of time and money. Not to mention that it took close to three hours for the service to conclude.
Description of Work: The service was sold as a furnace and air conditioner tune up. The person showed up and looked at the unites. Tried to sell us more items and that was it. There wasn't any tune up done.

I responded to the special offer for $99 because my outdoor tap was leaking. However, when the technician came, he told me that the type of tap I had was different from the type specified by the special offer. Mine was a much more expensive tap. The irony is that the type the offer included is not practical for an outdoor tap because you could never keep it from freezing in the winter. The special offer was very misleading because it offered something that could not work and the buyer was forced to pay a high price for something that was probably properly priced but turned out to be something less than a special offer. The technician, by the way, was knowledgeable and very skilled.

They came out on the appointed time. They came out to put one plug in the wall it is for the $99 and then when they showed up I mentioned to him that I would like another plug over here and they said they could do it right there at the same time and they would honor the same $99 component. He was very professional. He was quick. He wasn't too talkative. He cleaned up all the furnace and gas pipes, showed me pictures of what it looked like after he cleaned it up. What a difference!!! Inspected the thermostate that it was working properly. This is the second system I had installed by ESCO in the last 12 month. I inherited an old house last year and they changed that system out completely and it works better than anything in that house up to that point. This system I'm review was installed in my house and in the end, everything went really well and the system is working great. The installers put everything in quickly and were amazingly clean in the house always putting on booties and putting down cloths everywhere they went. They hooked everything up correctly but weren't familiar with how to start up the multi-zone systems so it took an extra couple days to have everything running. By the time the tech came, we had decided to try adding zones one at a time instead of turning them on all at once and we got it all working. It turned out that was the startup procedure and we just happened to stumble upon it. The original installers kept trying to turn everything on at once. My only complaint is that I had originally signed up for a three zone system and was told I could add a fourth zone later. I decided to add the fourth right away and ESCO changed the size of the main unit without saying anything. I turns out that with the size the main unit was bid, I wouldn't have been able to add the fourth zone later without changing the main unit too. The salesman had brought in a person who specifically was supposed to know how to configure these systems but he didn't get it quite right. They ordered the right stuff according to the spec sheet and installed the biggest unit they could put in a 4 zone system but they should have told me they were down sizing that main unit because of the limits on the outdoor unit. I asked for a small refund but didn't get anything. I am mostly nervous because I had this installed after the hottest time of the year had past so I won't really know if the downgrade will have an impact until next year. While the specification process and the startup process were a bit confused, ESCO guarantees it will work and it probably will but I like things cooler than the guaranteed temperature delta so we shall see. Overall, they are a bit expensive but I still think they are worth it from a quality of work perspective despite the issues. I still think they should have paid something or offered to do some routine service calls or something for changing the specs. Even so, I would use them again based on how well the two systems are currently working.
Description of Work: I had a 4 zone mini-split system installed. I have hot water heat so I don't have ducts. They bid to add ducts in the attic and put in the mini-split. Both were about the same price but the mini-split option also cooled some of the basement.
