I feel I was over charged for the work done. I wasn't quoted a price before the work started. I just figured I'd pay for parts plus the $49 for the first hour then the $120 per hour for each additional hour. The $49 per hour coupon didn't save me anything. When I called to complain they asked if they could compensate me with a gift card. I agreed but the gift card never came. I wouldn't recommend.

The ESCO plumber gave us an estimate for the pressure regulator and the one shower valve. He did not charge us for the visit and did not use our $49 Angie's List coupon. We called another plumber. We thought it good to have a second opinion. Before he arrived, a second shower valve stopped working. The second plumber replaced the pressure regulator valve and installed cores in the two shower valves. The ESCO plumber, even after being told our budget was limited and would be strained merely by paying his estimate for the pressure regulator valve, did not suggest replacing the core in the shower valve. The plumber who replaced our pressure regulator valve and installed new cores in the two shower valves did all three for substantially less than the ESCO plumber quoted us for the pressure regulator valve alone. Looks like our $49 purchase of the Angie's List is going down the drain. Full disclosure: I have not contacted ESCO about this

Outstanding service from start to finish!! From the salesman to job completion the next day was extraordinary. One small glitch with pricing that was solved immediately to our satisfaction. Would work with them again in a second!! Best contractor ever!!

The job didn't take long. But even with their club 10% discount they charged 4 times the normal rate for the job. I did get same day service (within 2 hours and on a Saturday) which was nice but the price turned me off completely. I will cancel my club membership.

The tech that arrived at our home, Joey, get's all A's. Joey was competent, courteous, efficient, and punctual. My rating would have been higher had it not been such a hassle to get the work scheduled. When I purchased the service, through the Angie's List website, I was asked to identify 3 different dates from which one would be assigned for the service call. All those dates passed without so much as a phone call from ESCO. I attempted to call ESCO on 3 separate occasions only to be put into phone-tree purgatory (their system requires you to dial an extension - I didn't have one - or press "0" for operator, which resulted only in being asked again to enter an extension. No human ever answered) I finally contacted Angie's List for help. The AL intervention finally resulted in a call from ESCO when a date & time for the service visit was agreed. When the agreed date arrived no technician showed up. To my surprise, my call to ESCO was actually answered, but I was required to set up a new date. This was particularly aggravating as I had taken the day off work to accommodate them in the first place. At least the person on the phone was pleasant and helpful. Finally, more than 3 weeks after my purchase, the technician arrived at my home. I didn't mind that he came at the end of the agreed upon appointment window because he had earlier called ahead to confirm that he was coming, offered details about his arrival time, and then arrived at the time promised.

He was very fast & efficient in getting the job done. He answered all my questions & inspected all of my other plumbing. He did a great job.

They cancelled on me twice, after I had already taken time off work. The first time they called the day before to confirm, then waited until 30 minutes into my window the next day (after I had already left work 4 hours early) to cancel on me because they didn't have the part that was supposedly ordered two weeks prior when they came for the estimate. Annoyed, but rescheduled and they canceled on me again because they were overbooked that day. And again, they waited until I had already left work before letting me know. They were nice and tried to offer gift cards to make up for it, but that's way too little too late. Not comfortable giving them $300 of my money when they treat customers this way.

He showed up on time and quickly installed my pre-purchased toilet. He needed some extra parts to complete the install and was willing to use the parts I had on hand from my remodeling project. He was very professional and friendly. He also spent a few minutes putting the anode rod in my RV hater heater as he was leaving. Very helpful!

We know if we have a problem, they're going to com, they're going to come rapidly.

The technician arrived right on time. He finished the work promptly even though one of the parts that I purchased from Home Depot would not fit. He had a well stocked truck and was able to replace the wrong part on the spot. I was impressed with his knowledge and professionalism while at our home. I will definitely call them the next time I need any electrical work done.

Hit us with a 300% price increase. I had already pre-paid through Angie's List for a drain cleaning and camera service. After spending 15 minutes walking all over the house, he insisted on gaining access through a toilet in our upstairs was his only option. That would triple the price. When I said I've cleared this clog myself 3 times and had 2 plumbers do it for less than his new (bait and switch price) quote. The man was abusive, called my 85 year old mother "You're a cheap customer". Not to mention that he said several other derogatory comments to her and myself. Then he had the nerve to call me abusive when I asked him to stop abusing my elderly mother. There are several easy places to access this drain line without pulling a toilet and he knows it., because I showed him all of them. As he left our home, yelling and causing a scene in front of neighbors, my mother pleaded with him to at least snake out the drain for her so she can use her kitchen and so the upstairs resident can use their toilet. He refused. When I reminded him that I had already paid for this service in advance through Angie's List and that I will leave an honest review he said, "You are not a plumber, so you don't know what you are talking about. I can easily counter your review... We know what come back to use for anything you can throw at us." Even knowing that my mother (the homeowner) is old and living on a fixed income, did not move him. He drove away without performing any service, even though I have already pre-paid. When a promise is made for a price and the promisor accepts money in exchange, a contract is made. The offer becomes the contract terms, and the purchaser has fulfilled his obligation. They don't seem to get that point. He claimed the quoted amount only applied when there was "open access". Nonetheless, the offer doesn't state "open access" anywhere including the fine print. We have open access, as they well know because I already had removed the pipes and obstructions in the kitchen when I tried to snake it out myself by hand. There are several access points upstream from this clog that don't require pulling a toilet or going in from the roof.

Everything went well. The price was a bit expensive but the quality of work was great so I think it was worth it. I did get a coupon so that helped a bit with the price. Check the company website for coupons before you decide to hire.

Since we are in the middle of a huge remodeling project everything is pulled out of place and he had to work in chaotic circumstances. He was very patient with the insanity and did a great job. Beforehand, he fully explained the price of the 2nd faucet (not eligible for the $99 coupon) that I had asked him to replace. It cost $254 - so I saved $153 with the coupon on the first faucet!) Afterward, he walked me through and explained everything he had done. He also advised me of a water pressure issue we have from the city line that needs to be reduced to avoid water heater blowout. He was polite, friendly, professional, and sympathetic of our remodeling project.

The furnace tune-up was the only service actually performed. To my knowledge, the parts added were needed, but I really do not have a way of knowing that to be true. Upon inspection, there had been no attempt made to remove dust from the "innards" of the motor either.

The electrical work was great, however we did not appreciate the "manager" coming with the electrician trying to sell us other services. We didn't ask to have a high pressure salesman come to our home.

I paid $49 for an hour of electrical labor from an Angie’s list ad. When the technician arrived (late - they keep changing date and time one me) he charged me an additional $100 to put in the outlets plus parts. He wanted to charge an additional $200 but I said no. I believe the ad to be deceptive because I paid for an hour of labor and then had to pay an additional $100 for labor during that hour. He was only here for one hour and no additional time.

I lost 49.00 and I don't plan on buying anything through Angie's List again!

I ended up paying much more than the $89 because the service man said he couldn't pull the wires from adjacent outlets.....didn't have a drill bit long enough because of extra support beams in the crawl space. So he pulled it off of the circuit breaker box and that cost a lot more. I went ahead and had him do that because I really wanted the outlet. While he was here he also took down a light fixture that needed to be taken in for repair so I appreciated that.
