Preferred Roofing and Exteriors

We hired Preferred Roofing to re-shingle our roof. The owner seemed knowledgeable and he said it would take ~2 days. That was the end of the good experience. Then he sent someone who had never worked with aluminum siding before. The person working on the roof used what looked like curved garden shears to trim our siding to accommodate the additional layer of shingles. It looked like a hack job. He also chucked aluminum siding shards onto our yard and didn't bother cleaning up. We have young children running around. Because of my concerns, I specifically asked the owner to inspect the roof once it was done and confirmed that he would clean up the metal debris. He said he did. However, a day later, we noticed that our siding was bent and sticking out away from the side of our house. So much for the "inspection". He tried to blame it on how the siding was installed. Fortunately, we just bought the house and had the inspection pictures. We also found shards of metal still in our lawn. The owner promised to fix it, but sent the SAME guy out to fix it (who didn't know how to work with aluminum siding). What a joke. It looked horrible. So I called the owner again, beginning a 1-2 month long cycle of him telling us he'll fix it, sending someone out, us asking him to inspect, him saying the work was done and he did, and us looking at it and telling him the repair work was faulty for multiple reasons...rinse repeat. At least he finally sent someone who knew what he was doing. Why he didn't send this person to begin with is beyond me. At the end of the day, our aluminum siding is effectively ruined (you can't bend metal back and have it look the same), there are screws in our siding that shouldn't have been needed, one of the aluminum edge pillars on corner of the house is ruined, and I wasted 3 months of my life dealing with a nightmare situation. He eventually stopped returning my calls
