MIDWEST VINYL FENCING INC

To start out they were great. They came out 2 different time to measuer because I was unsure of the City laws. When I gave them my down payment all H*** broke loose. I had to call them to set up a time for them to start. I had to call them to verify the day before to make sure they were coming out and start the insatalation. They started the insalation and told me that someone from their office would call me in the next day or so to schedule the rest of the fence and that it would be at the most 10 working days. Two weeks later I called them to see when they would be coming to finish. I was told that it would be done by that Friday. NO ONE CAME! I called them again on Monday asking when. I was told that it would be done by Wednessday if their truck didn't blow up. I CALL them aging on Friday. I asked if their truck blow up becasue that was the ONLY way that my fence would not be finished. Ofcourse their turck was just fine. They said that they would be out no later than Wednesday to finish. They actually did make it by Wednesday. But there were still problem. They hung my gate crocked and had to came back to fix it. DO NOT use this compay.

It was a complete NIGHTMARE working with Midwest. Their salesman (I don't remember his name) was very good... good enough that we decided to pay a bit more with Midwest than go with a company who had a lower bid. They came out, did the estimate and said we'd be scheduled for a certain day. The day arrived, and they didn't. After several calls, finally got a hold of them and they said that it would be another day. They had to drill holes in our tinted/stamped concrete for gate posts. They filled it back in with concrete that wasn't even close to matching. Their equipment ruined our yard and several of our sprinklers (which, they informed us after the fact, was in the fine print and they could do nothing about). The fence was installed (a month late and over estimate because of "rocky soil") by a group of Hispanic gentlemen who took naps in my yard. They were HORRIBLE to work with. We shared concerns with them and they blew us off. I would never, never recommend Midwest Fence.

The opening is so wide (19.5 feet) we were concerned about what type of gate it would take to fit in that area. Their salesman came out and discussed options that would not cost us an enormous amount of money. They ended up putting double-posts on each side and then they could put in two 9 foot gates to fill the remaining opening. The installers came when we were told they would. They set the posts and then told us that it would probably take 10 days to have the gates ready. They were back in 10 business days and did a very professional job installing the gates. The gates only came with one drop-rod, but, the installer said on a gate that big there was no way he was going to only put one drop rod in. He installed it with two drop-rods to prevent them from having to come back and do warranty work.

The salesperson (Bob) and the people in the office were very good to work with - very professional and responsive. However, the installers they sent out were by far the most unprofessional people I have ever had do anything at my house. They caused us grief with the neighbors by destroying two of their rose bushes because of careless teardown of the old fence, and they spent an entire day parked in front of their driveway. There were a couple of times during the installation when they didn't show up when they said they would, and I had to call them to find out what the deal was (I was told they were waiting on materials). One of them asked if he could have some things in our backyard. Part of the job was to take down the old chain link fence and haul it off, but they left part of it the first time and I had to call them after the installation was finished to come back and get the rest of it. Finally, they damaged about $100 of landscape trim that we had just installed due to careless unloading of their trailer and dragging stuff through the yard. The installer has told me repeatedly that he would replace it, but it's been weeks now and he hasn't. Overall, the company seems pretty good to work with, but the installers they sent out were complete jokers. I can't recommend using them unless and until they get some better installers.

Dealing with Midwest fense was like a "breath of fresh air!" Their salesman Jonathan Hinckley was outstanding! He was on time, professional and very personable. I'd had some trouble with the neighbors for over a year, trying to convince them to not only get a fense between our two properties, but also to contribute towards a fense and pay their fair share! Every time I had a salesman come by, during this last year, they would give over priced bids, make appointments that they never kept and would show up late or not at all. Not to mention they all seemed extremely pushy and agressive. I have small children and was in need of installing a fense ASAP. But my neighbors on the other hand are middle aged and have no children. Their motivation for contributing toward a fense was not as high as mine and after a while they began to "stonewall" me. I was getting desperate, but I was resolute that I was not going to eat the entire cost of a fense, no matter what!! Jonathan showed up and made a huge impression on them and me. He has an easy way about him, he was on time and extremely knowlodgeable about his product. He resolved all of my neighbors concerns and had the contract drawn up and signed in less than an hour. It was a tremendous relief! Midwest fense finished up the work on time and did an outstanding job. The quality of installation and the product was first rate. They stand behind their product and workmanship with a comprehensive warranty... I couldn't be happier.

My overall experience is that they were great. They gave us an estimate that was close to the final cost. They were friendly, professional, polite, and courteous. I would recommend them.

We were out of town when it was done. They did a great job and it was all done when we got home!
