Description of Work: Mr. Devaney added 2 rooms to our home and re-did the entire roof. While he was doing the outside work, his work was good, but his clean-up efforts were horrible. He had his son and 3 of his son's friends take the old roofing off the roof. They were told they needed to clean up the mess and leave the site as they found it. After paying them, I found that they had not done this. I had to pay another 2 people to clean up over 200 pounds of roofing, nails, etc, My husband took a magnet to our north lawn and found a 5-gallon bucket of nails with it! Mr. Devaney is very good at design and does good work outside, but he has an eye condition (macular degeneration) so when he comes inside, his work is very inferior. He left the doors to our closets outside and a bird "pooped" on one, leaving a large streak of feces. My husband told him it was there and it needed to be cleaned off. He brought the doors inside to be hung and we discovered that he had painted over the feces! In the sewing room, he was painting the ceiling. The paint was streaking, with a black substance streaking across the white. He put 4 coats of paint on it and only THEN decided there was something wrong with the paint! When we looked at the paint in the bedroom, there were large globs and drips all over the walls We decided we had enough and asked him to get his tools and leave. When we got through with the painting (having it re-done, etc.) we had paid over $3500 for 2 rooms to be painted, then re-painted! He took all the tools he charged to us at the paint store, without ever giving us a chance to keep them. We are considering suing him for damages and for having to have the work redone.
