Late afternoon I noticed the air conditioner was running, but no air was coming out of any vents. It was 94 degrees outside, so I called Climate Pro, and got ahold of Nick. He was actually at the hospital with his wife who had just given birth. He listened patiently to my concerns, but was not able to make a service call until the next day. However, he did discuss possible reasons for my problem, and I was immediately suspicious of the air filter. He explained how to access the filter, and I was able to remove the old filter, and replace it with a new one. He went on to explain that likely, the unit had 'frozen' up, then walked me through how to turn off the unit, and turn on the blower in order to help thaw the lines. He promised to call the next morning to check on the status, and see if I still needed a service call. It didn't take long for the unit to thaw out (water was going everywhere), and begin circulating air throughout the vents. As per instructions from Nick, I was able to turn my AC back on, and soon was cooling off nicely! Nick did indeed call the following morning to check on the status. He said he was happy we had figured the problem out. I will call back to schedule a service on my furnace/AC unit when it is more convenient for me. All this was done without any charges. He could have easily made the service call, charged me to change my filter, and even charged me for an emergency call! The fact that he was willing to help me troubleshoot over the phone and then promptly followed up the next morning just tells me this is a quality company that I will not hesitate to call again for services, and will be recommending them to my friends!
