At first I was impressed by how quickly Steve got in touch with me and assured me he could fix this known issue. But once he got to the house, I was not so sure. He replaced the ice maker and never looked at another thing. Took less than 15 minutes. Then he told me to caulk it myself. Then his credit card payment system didn’t work. He was also very disrespectful about the ethnicity of the manufacturer of Samsung. Once he left, the ice maker made some ice but it was not totally frozen. It was a holiday weekend coming up so I waited to call him back to repair again until after the holiday. He came back and just brought another ice maker to install. I didn’t want that so I reexplained that the ice was not frozen all the way and water was coming out. He said oh you need a fan. But it is the sl county fair which he sells street corn at so he couldn’t get to us right away. Well the fair has been over for almost a week and I have never heard from Steve again. I don’t think he really can fix this. So I will have to find someone else. Very unprofessional in many ways.

My washer wasn’t spinning anymore, so I was looking for someone to come take a look at it and repair it. Over the phone, after a few questions about my washer, he determined what he thought was the issue. When he arrived, he didn’t start the washer or inspect it at all, he just installed a new pump. After installing the part, he started the washer and told me that my washer was completely broken and couldn’t be repaired. He wanted to charge me $250 for service and parts, without fixing the actual problem with the washer that I called about. I told him I couldn’t pay $250 for repairs and still not have a working washer. He charged me $140. I still have to pay for a new washer, whether he came or not. If he ran the washer or inspected it before working on it, he would’ve known that it couldn’t be repaired. I could’ve paid a $30-$40 fee for him coming out to look at it, but instead I wasted $140 to have a still broken washer. I shouldn’t have had to pay for parts installed on an un-fixable washer, when he could’ve avoided this situation completely by inspecting the appliance before attempting to repair it.

The work he and his son did at my home was fine but he charged my wife $75 for a few parts from Home Depot to replace the gas line under our cooktop. I wasn't home at the time. I spoke with his son on the phone after they left our home when my wife informed me of the charge and asked his son to send me a copy of the receipt for the parts purchased and his son agreed to. We have a camera in the room the work was performed and I was able to see and hear him first tell my wife the bill was for $120 then changing it to $160 after his son said something to him in a low whisper. That evening I sent him a follow up message asking him to send me a copy of the receipt because I hadn't received it yet, in which I got this reply: "I have never been asked that in 30 years no I'm not going to send receipts I'm sure in your business if you been a contractor do you give all your receipts to your customers no I'm sure you don't I did what was asked have a good evening." I'm giving him a 1 star rating because, even though he did perform and complete the task I asked him to do, him over charging my wife and refusing to show me the receipt completely ruined my experience with him. If you are on a tight budget I would not recommend hiring this guy. Sorry Steve.
