Smoke and mirrors - We were having trouble with our furnace turning on and wanted a tune-up while they were here. Told - Yes we can come out and look and it and do a tune-up for $79.00 Truth - Service call $79.00; Tune-up $120 additional charge Told: Problem/Part will cost $691.00 and we will send and invoice. Also we will wave the $79.00 service call fee but if you want it expedited it may cost you, we are not sure, about $79.00 - we will send an invoice. Yes, we wanted it expedited. Truth: Invoice sent said: $691.00 for part - nothing else! Told: We can have the part by Thursday or Friday and install it then. Truth: We called on Friday after not hearing from them on Thursday and they said we think we are booked until at least Monday but that they would check and they would call us back. (Since we had been seen earlier in the week and we were just waiting for the part they didn't stock, we should have been on their schedule!) Truth: Never called back and after 3 phone calls from us to them, with time between, they finally said they had had some cancellation and could make it out. After the work was done, we finally got our first detailed invoice for $845.00. The furnace is now working fine and we appreciate it, but we will not be using Walker's again.

They came right out and did it. They did a very good job.

We met with John first. He was very polite and spent a lot of time with us going over various options. He was not pushy, but gave us all the facts and even went in the attic to make sure everything would work. Corey and another young man was on time and immediately went to work. They were very polite and informative on the process and how things were going when I asked. They worked hard and took a late lunch because they wanted to get to a certain point. they cleaned up very nicely when they were finished. Very happy with the install.

A little story about the POOR service I received from Walker Plumbing ... While on vacation in December (2019), we had two young ladies stay in our home and pet sit for us. On Monday (Dec 23rd), we received and call from the Young Ladies stating there was a sewage backup into the house. I called Walker Plumbing to come take a look. They arrived and attempted to rooter the sewage line from the house to the septic tank, a distance of about 50 feet. I was told by the onsite technician that it appeared to be a tee in the line and it was plugged at that point (approximately 20 feet from the house and cleanout). The technician did state that he was able to get past the plug and water was flowing. We thought at this point that the problem was solved! However, when we returned home (Friday Jan 3rd) and spoke to the Young ladies tending our home, they reported that the problem was NEVER fixed and they had not been able to use the toilets at all for the entire time they were there. BTW: The Bill was just short of $500. I immediately called Walker Plumbing that evening (Friday 3rd ~20:00) and got to their after hours call service. I requested that a technician call me as soon as possible to discuss coming back out at their convenience. NO CALL THAT EVENING. Next morning (Saturday ~ 08:00), called again. Once again NO CALL at all. I was able to rent a backhoe and dug the line up looking for the reported "tee" in the line. After digging up the line, I found there was NO tee, but it did look like the clog was caused by the young ladies staying out our home. No Problem, clog cleared and line replaced that was damaged when digging it out with the backhoe. The clog itself appeared that it could have been solved with the rooter (it was just toilet paper in the line). So here is my gripe ... I was told up front that there would be a trip fee due to our remote location in the county (~ 25 mile north of St George). No biggie, I was just thankful for Walker responding and willing to come up! I was told however that "sewage water was flowing" before the technician left our location. NOT TRUE, as reported by the young ladies! After arriving back home, I could not get Walker to call me back after repeatedly calling during the weekend (after hours service messages). On Monday (normal working day), I called and spoke to a receptionist at Walker wanting to discuss my bill (remember $500) with the owner. Again NO CALL BACK! I called several times during the next two weeks requesting a simple call back to discuss my issue. NO CALL BACK! With this type of customer service, I cannot in good conscience recommend this company! As a previous small business owner myself, I know that the customer is NOT always right. I get that. However, I would always return calls to discuss a billing discrepancy. ALL I HAVE EVER WANTED IS JUST CALL FROM THE OWNER TO DISCUSS! Please do not use this company!

It took a couple days to get a plumber but, once here, he did an excellent job and was very professional and patient in explaining services rendered.

They did a great job on fixing our plumbing problems when a tree root began growing into our septic line. They were quick, surprisingly inexpensive, and gave great service.

My water heater went out on a Sunday afternoon and was leaking water all over the garage. I called and left a message and had a call back within 5 minutes. He walked me through how to turn off the water to the water heater and we made arrangements for a plumber to come out the next morning at 8 a.m. The plumber was there promply at 8. He went over my options for a new water heater. I choose the mid-level option. He drained the water heater while he went to pick up the new one. The whole process took about 3 hours. I was very happy with the service I received and would definitely use them again.
