Doug completed my backyard landscape into a very creative design. He drew plans that would pass our HOA and completed all work according to his estimates. We are extremely satisfied with our new backyard. A unique circular firepit made with granite boulders, a gas burner insert, custom installed rock slab steps down to the firepit, 3pc pavers for the walkway, patio seating area and crushed river rock for surrounding areas. Doug s communication, professionalism and expertise is truly appreciated. His ability to get materials and equipment down to our daylight basement yard area was remarkable since access was difficult and extremely limited. In fact, four other landscaping firms had turned the job down before Doug which speaks volumes. He also presented real time solutions that solved big issues regarding stairs, firepit design and water drainage. He provided a quality finished product at reasonable pricing. Doug and his very hard working crew built a solid diamond block retaining wall, pulled old railroad ties from my front yard that were falling down, and replaced them with a new, solid, correctly built retaining wall. They also moved and spread gravel and dirt. This is the first of two or three phases. I am completely delighted with the result. Doug is a person who communicates, was hands on, and understood what I wanted. His work is excellent. I can hardly wait for stage two, which will be new sod and sprinklers in the spring. (I live in the mountains). It was a wait, due to the distance, but more than worth it. I am so relieved to find Doug and Custom Rock Creations!

Doug Holt of Custom Rock Creations was hired to do a small expansion of my front driveway with brick pavers. The work was sub par and he refused to fix it. I was in complete shock when he charged me almost $2,000. Not only did he refuse to fix the issue, but he threatened to put a lien on my house and take me to court if I did not pay his bill. I paid the bill in full, even though I was not happy with the job. This is extortion and I would NOT recommend hiring his company.

I live 350 miles from a lot that I own in Ivins Utah. It had not been maintained for several years. I contacted Doug and asked him to give me his opinion on whether it needed work or not. He went the next day and took many pictures to confirm that he was looking at the correct lot and to show me it's condition in detail. His opinion was that it was not so bad as to get a citation from the city. In other words, he did the drive there and took pictures and communicated with me at no charge. He also noticed that a neighbor had put cars and other debris on our property and offered to talk to them for us. We decided to go ahead with clearing the lot and Doug was very effective in getting the neighbor to clean up his messes and vacate our property. He sent us pictures after the job was done and the lot looked great! I highly recommend Doug and Custom Rock Creations for their honesty, great communication, and quality work.
