Darrington Trees

Work was accomplished in a timely manner. Property was left clean. Difficult to contact vendor to schedule work. Vendor called the day before work was to begin. Estimates and advice for additional work were requested but never delivered.

I hired Darrington Tree Service on a recommendation of a friend. I was told they did BYU's grounds and were trustworthy. A year later and I am still upset about my experience. They didn't grind down one of the stumps nearly enough, left the chips all over and didn't clean it up. When I asked them to also remove the huge mound of chips they said, "we always leave it like that." I am still trying to get the stump down enough to replant anything there. I hired them for a full day to maximize my savings. They came at 8am and left at 3pm with a lengthy lunch break without notifying me before they left. They didn't trim 2 of the trees I hired them for even though it was agreed upon in the estimate and reiterated when they arrived that morning. I had to call their office and they charged me for an additional half day to complete what they should have done in the first place. I had one tree braced to help support a graft. He bore multiple holes in a massive maple and didn't do anything with the open holes he ended up not using. Never again. I should have fought for the additional half day to be removed from my charges. 3pm is not quitting hour if you haven't finished what you promised you would do.
